It has been three days since the civil war has begun. In the palace, King Issia IV, the King of Gyzantia, has made a public appearance to a crowd of more than five thousand people.

Good morning, people of the Techante. The past week has been a stressful one for most of us, and I know that. From the wosening food crisis, to separatists plaguing our nation, we are faced with problems that look impossible to overcome. We have also seen our economy plummet down, to people taking advantage of the chaos, and creating a revolution that was against a treaty that both sides agreed on. But I ask all of you to stay strong. Never lose faith in us. Give us three years, and I promise you all, everything will be overcome, if only we all unite against the problems we face. Unity against the Socialists, Unity against the Colstreans, and Unity against all odds!

The perfectly-timed fighters flying above the palace just increased to the atmosphere of the speech. Although short, it managed to capture the hearts of the people, especially Technate loyalists. After his appearance, he walked back to the inside of the palace, seeing Simon Herzland, applauding to him, saying "Great job on the propaganda side!" and taps Issia in the back.

Small changes occurred in the first week of the war. The socialists and the Gyzantia Security Liberation Army managed to hold off an attack by the Technate, and the socialists have begun to wander deep, into Yttria and using the highway to Fylonia. The Socialists has also begun a push into Yuniva Most of the changes happened in the Southern front, where the city of Assora has mostly been captured by the Socialists. The city of Oberta is also under siege on all sides, after militia from Bradia defeats the Socialists in the Battle of the Jelsvo Interchange.

Back in Colstrea, three Gyzantian, two militia, and one local militia division are moving on the highway to meet with the pushing Colstreans. There were only a few sorties that flew by the city of Dessin, dropping unguided bombs, setting off alarms, as Colstrean residents rush to take cover. There were zero casualties, but a few buildings were damaged by the blasts. Colstrean militia are marching with some to almost zero resistance, with a few people joining the cause on the way to the city of Colstrea

In the Colstrea-Gyzantia Bridge, it was a standoff. Gyzantian and Colstrean troops dig in on both sides of the bridge, waiting for the other side to push. Over in the Eastern Seas, a.k.a the Yvoran Ocean, the main fleet of the Gyzantian Royal Navy depart from Gyzantian Corolovia, after the Gyzantian territory was seized by the Corolovian Empire (OOC: check my map factbook to see where it is), to the Gyzantian Mainland. They are estimated to arrive in two and a half weeks, as they waive the Technate's flag on the flag staff of their ships.

SIC:
A warning is sent to the leaders of the Republic, revealing Operation Backbreaker to them, almost demanding that they hold the line upon the bridge for now, but to also be prepared to evacuate rapidly on command. The intent is to bring it down with Technate forces still on the bridge, in order to inflict mass casualties and possibly even break morale, given such a strike could come about as either an "act of god" or Gonswanza demonstrating that they could strike anywhere, at any time.

Adding to that, Harpy I and IIs are deployed as well, to further assist units on the ground in Colstrea, the UCAVs flying en route to the area, though it will take a long while until their arrival.

IC:
With the Gonswanzans riding the highway, they are due to arrive soon to Colstrea, a few loitering munitions thrown ahead of the advancing forces to try to engage hostile units in the city, much to the expense of likely collateral if the enemy so decides to use civilians as meatshields. Yet, the artillery units peel away, as do the recon infantry, though the latter pushes far ahead into enemy territory while the latter hangs back to engage likely ambushes that would be picked up by the 48th's rapid advance, acting as the spear to the armored advance.

Unlike the average, generic advance, these infantry split off into smaller groups, sneaking along into the area and using drones to try to augment their capacity to gather information, even marking off locations for artillery to hammer down. An effective strategy, though they also resort to using sniper rifles should the sheer overkill of several 203mm shells not suffice in spreading terror.

prepared a surprise attack

Postby Federal pf vinsegrad » Mon Sep 26, 2022 3:17 am

The gyzantian socialist troops had reached the outskirts of Hatrap and immediately prepared a surprise attack using 300 152mm self-propelled artillery, the troops advanced 10km from the starting point of the outskirts of Hatrap. while the gyzantian security liberation forces managed to take control of the city of Assora which had been razed to the ground and had planted the gyzantian socialist flag in the area, it is possible that the gyzantian security forces would move towards bradia

After a dissapointing start ot operation 'Colstrea Cross' the Welephilostopian forces would confer with CR high command and other CR allies to perform a massive spearhead and encirclement of Colstrea.

OOC: what is the timeframe of this like is one irl day one civil war day?

OOC: Edited from three days one week to one day one civil war day so we can give priority for some events. Apologies to the confusion.

After being loaded with ammunition and such troops either got in the troop compartment or on top heading towards the frontline mostly to help take Colestra after the troops settle down the vehicles finally the convoy consisting of AFVs, IFVs and Tanks started moving guided by the locals who help take them to front although while they were in friendly lines the vehicles with a gun or turret had them pointed to either side while those in rear had their guns pointed backwards and those in the front had them pointed forward. As they left the airport more Oceanian transport came in carrying the SPAA and SPG artillery vehicles while the OAAD will only require a few minutes to hour to be prepared and sent to the front the artillery would take longer as they need to disassemble the gun from the vehicle and would take longer.

Oceanian advisors taught Colstrea the basics of military such as how to use and maintain their weapon this being how to use the OAR-1, ORM-52 Rifles, and ORM-52/61 carbines they were also taught how to use the IPG-1 rocket launcher and the IDL-M disposable launchers besides weapon training they were also taught how to use unconventional tactics against the enemy.

In the skies above 2 OGA-2Ks flew overhead carrying rocket pods and other weapons explosive weaponary and were flying towards their target to soften them up.

OOC: I can't really respond to this. You basically not only have nearly a million men in the field that you teleported to Gyzanita, you intercepted the message and then teleported them to Hatrap, and are in action before anyone has even landed.

The way I'm used to playing is like this, in these phases:

1. Player declares intent of his nation, and they are getting ready to do something.
2. Other player makes move.
3. Player begins moving troops/spying/etc.
4. Other player has a chance to respond.
5. Players figure out what the result would be
6. Each player post.

As you can probably see, this keeps things fair and collaborative. This is how I would prefer to play out the conflict between us.

Using the information they received from the Gonswanzan plans, the defending force in the bridge decide to hold on the edge of the bridge, with sandbags and machine guns being used in the defense. A message was sent secretly to the Gonswanzans, signaling that they agree with this operation.

While the Gonswanzans and the Colstreans reach halfway in their journey to Colstrea, marked by a sign, they encountered barricades of some sorts. The Colstreans decide to check, with abandoned LR-95s and ammo crates that fell down, spreading the 5.56x45mm bullets into the asphalt ground. While the Colstreans clean up the spilled ammunition, a reckless soldier talks with his fellow men, kicking the Gyzantian truck, when his foot stepped on a landmine, exploding and killing all Colstrean militia checking the area. Their fellow Colstreans rush to the area, now being more cautious, and declaring five deaths, with eight wounded from the blast.

First aid was done to the wounded victims, which were then picked up by a Colstrean helicopter they captured from the Gyzantians, while the Colstrean Advance Force decide to "keep moving".

Civia Welephilostopia wrote:After a dissapointing start ot operation 'Colstrea Cross' the Welephilostopian forces would confer with CR high command and other CR allies to perform a massive spearhead and encirclement of Colstrea.

The Colstrean high command responds to this on a secure line, saying that maintaining the logistics of the push is complicating, also adding that they have plans to secure a supply hub on the outskirts of the city of Colstrea, which would help with the attack of the city. The said plan was also sent to all the allies of the Colstreans.

The message also said that "securing the supply hub would give us a airport, closer to the city, enabling helicopters and jets to support the ground attack to Colstrea. It will also give way for transport planes to supply more equipment closer to the city."

The Colstreans guiding the Oceanians received a message from the high command, informing them of the planned operation a few days from now. They relayed the message to the Oceanians, as they drive on the highway.

Some of the Colstrean civilians, only having little to no knowledge on the equipment being sent by the Oceanians, still decide to help with any carrying and attaching the parts, to decrease the time spent, and to be deployed in the frontlines earlier that it will be.

The training of Colstrean militia is going well, with most, if not all of them starting to get comfortable on how the weapon should be used.

Approaching Hatrap at 100km

On one of the transport freighters that had been converted to military use, the deck was crawling like a log covered with ants as the Royal Marines began maneuvering to their staging points. They were gathering up by rifle platoons, gathering heavy machine guns, mortars, and anti-air and anti-tank weapons. In the belly of the freighters, there were vehicles moving to either be moved as amphibious ships right towards the surf to roll-off points. Helicopters were being given final checks.

From the deck of the carrier, Sea-Dragon, a flight of drones took off and headed towards the land. They fanned out, each taking a position about a mile from the other. These were Blackfly-Gau drones, fixed wings, moving at about 313kmph, searching for possible air and ground targets with their radar bubbles on top. They were guided by teams of petty officers aboard the carrier.

Meanwhile, radiating out from the alert fleet, a flight of Bartgeier multi role fighters were spread out as far as 200 km from the fleet, watching for air targets. The fleet itself had radar and sonar alerts out, including the two submarines deep below and running quietly.

The Admiral sent a message to Hatrap, indicating that, "Your allies have arrived. Please advise as to the situation on the ground, and where we can set our Royal Marines ashore." This message was encrypted with a secret channel that had been agreed upon by the two allies.

OOC:

Just heard about your experiences with a typhoon. I am happy you are safe and hope all recovers well.

IC:

September 27th, 106 AUR
0143 Anagonian Standard Time
Naval Peacekeeping Force Mythica
Open Ocean

At the time same that Naval Peacekeeping Force Anagonia had been dispatched, Naval Peacekeeping Force Mythica was ordered underway as well. Commodore Leanna Crawford had been assigned as Mythica's Commanding Officer and Fleet Commander and had briefly met with Commodore Rabinoff of NPF Anagonia before both fleets separated ways in the Anagonian Ocean. Both Commodore's were aspiring naval commanders, having been in the Confederate Navy for decades and contributed much to attain the rank they presently had. They were great friends, both on a professional and personal basis, and had concluded that should events unfold in favor of such that they would likely be open to expanding that friendship. Unfortunately for both, the Navy did not wait for simple-minded pursuits of "happiness" and "settling down". In the stead of such pursuits, both high-level naval commanders had made it a priority to always attempt some form of meet up.

With NPF Anagonia now reassigned to a naval base in the United Revolutionary States of Janpia following the early conclusion of the Armeno-Ukcrossian War the fleet had been assigned to distribute humanitarian aid into, the likelihood of them meeting up again had been increased. It was possible that when NPF Mythica had concluded its duties in the Gyzantian Civil War that they'd make a stop at the naval base in Janpia as well. From there the door was open where the navy would send both fleets, but it was clear that the navy had intended both peacekeeping fleets to be a permanent fixture for future events. The world was falling to pieces all around Anagonia, it seemed, and having two capable and ready humanitarian fleets was a must. There was also talk higher up that the majority of the LHD's in the navy would be distributed to additional humanitarian fleets, but that was to be seen.

Naval Peacekeeping Force Mythica was on course and on time toward Gyzantia. Commodore Crawford stood on the deck of the LHD in safety gear as she observed the forces under her command practice drills as they lifted off from the deck of the Wasp-class LHD. The Mythica, much like the Anagonia, had been outfitted primarily to hold rotary and tilt-rotary aircraft. Her main fighter compliment of AV-8B Harrier II's was all she had for defense and offense purposes, intended as such by the Navy to prevent the amphibious assault ship from seeming to be prepared for an invasion. Similar to the Anagonia, the Mythica would retain a compliment of two LCAC's for beach landings to unload humanitarian vehicles or supplies that had been stored in her hold in case of such a necessity. The primary objective for the Mythica, just like the Anagonia, was to utilize her compliment of MV-22B Osprey's, CH-53E Super Stallion's, and UH-1Y Venom helicopters to transport crew and supplies onto land. It was determined by the Navy that distributing such supplies in this manner would cut down not only on travel time, but also prevent the impression of some sort of secret invasion. They would of course utilize their store of humanitarian aid vehicles if necessary - just a few LUV-80's and M2109's.

An hour went past of this observation before her XO, Commander Trey Clemons, came to alert her that she was needed on the bridge. Like Commodore Bogdan Rabinoff of NPF Anagonia, Commodore Leanna Crawford of NPF Mythica was both the CO of the CSS Mythica and CO of the Task Force. Her responsibilities, much like her good friend Bogdan, were immense. The Navy had chosen both specifically because of their unique abilities with handling such responsibilities. It was probably why they both got along in such a special, unique way. She gave a brief, passing thought to her friend before she replied in the affirmative to her XO. Her eyes lingered briefly on watching an Osprey land after having launched and preformed a rotation around the Mythica, the crews being guided to power down by the deck crew. She made way to the tower on the deck as the moon shown brightly in the sky. Regardless of the time of day, it was always critical to have the crew practice their roles and proficiencies.

They were expected to meet up with two refueling tenders along the route. One before they entered oceans near Gyzantia and a second a few days after they would have left a port of call at a nearby allies naval facilities. Either way, the transit was expected to take a few more days and after the conclusion of events, they were expected to head straight to Janpia for resupply before new orders were to be handed down. Much like NPF Anagonia, NPF Mythica would additionally utilize its hospital ship for all emergencies and medical needs - from mundane to serious. The CSS Compassion had been well stocked for this assignment. In addition to the hospital ship, the navy had prepared the LHD's normally robust medical wing as an overflow in case of extended emergencies. Medical facilities on the other ships in the fleet, while not as capable, would be made available as overflow if the situation permitted. It was expected, however, that the Compassion would be able to more than handle any and all casualties.

After attending business on the bridge, Commodore Crawford observed they were still a few days out from the warzone. They had time to prepare, to train, to ready themselves. Much like NPF Anagonia, the government would also be sending out a forward for Mythica. It was hoped that was all that would be necessary to avoid any confrontation. Distributing humanitarian supplies was priority number one for the Anagonians, and for Leanna. Helping civilians and ensuring their safety was a reward in and of itself as providing goodwill and a good image always did a nation positively on the world stage. It was hard to attain a good reputation, but very easy to ruin it. Leanna was sure someone very wise had said that first before she had.

First National Flag of the Confederate States

TO: All Nation Involved in the Gyzantian Civil War
FROM: Chief Secretary Forest Patton, Department of the Confederate States, Confederate States of Anagonia
SUBJECT: PRIORITY MESSAGE: HUMANITARIAN FLEET INBOUND

Attention all command authorities involved,

The Confederate States has seen an unacceptable rise in civilians impacted by this conflict. We have decided to send a humanitarian fleet to the waters near Gyzantia to begin distributing supplies to all needed civilians and providing immediate medical relief with our hospital ship. With this message I have included our IFF tags utilized for such operations and request you used them to avoid targeting our military and humanitarian units. We will attempt to primarily use rotary and tilt-rotary aircraft to distribute the supplies, however if there are areas unreachable by these aircraft we will land humanitarian convoys. We ask for your cooperation and your honor in preserving our duty to help those in most need. I have included in this message our fleet compliment, which includes a sophisticated and modern Hospital Ship as aforementioned for assisting with any and all casualties.

Our fleet, Naval Peacekeeping Force Mythica, will also be open to allowing any military casualties on board in desperate need of medical attention. As a neutral party in this conflict, we have to qualms about distributing our aid freely. We ask that all sides in the conflict observe our Hospital Ship and Fleet - and thereby any asset of such - as neutral turf. Our primary goal will, however, be to tending the civilian population impacted by this war. We ask you to please assist our units and help direct them to where most needed, as our goal is to improve the lives of civilians impacted by this civil war and ensure their transition through this change of government is eased and lessened. Our forces will be eager to avoid any and all conflict as our primary goal, as stated several times, is the distribution of aid and humanitarian relief. Commodore Leanna Crawford has been assigned as our point of contact and head of the humanitarian task force should any issues arise.

Travel time for our humanitarian task force is expected to take a few days to at most a week. A final message of our arrival will be broadcast to alert your military units, at which time we will begin broadcasting our IFF frequencies given in this message to be utilized for humanitarian missions on all available channels. With the new information from CR high command the Welephilostopian forces would redraw their plans and institute a back breaking staff office plan which would hopefully produce a deep and conclusive plan to seize said supply hub and give the people of the CR more hope.

Otherwise in the training of the 2 divisions would progress as normal however a group of 20 men would show exemplary ability in command and leadership and the trainers in charge would request they be transferred to the local military academy.

Even with hindrances in the advance, Gonswanzan commanders on the ground warn that ammo left behind could be "spiked", especially with the incident of the mine blowing apart several militiamen. Gonswanza itself sends for more supplies via air, as aircraft from Junta fly overhead, two J-107s of the 27th buzzing the infantry on the ground in a show of force prior to peeling off and later joining the war for the air with various other aircraft including the J-105, being used to commit to strikes against the city along with committing to the war for the air.

J-102s were able to race ahead of the 105s, committing to the fight, while tanks and APCs hug the infantry, escorted by them to ensure that the armor stays alive.

Per the words of one soldier, the war is "oddly peaceful, almost tranquil. But the true glory has yet to come." Even then, the pilots from Junta would opt to disagree. Especially the crew of Reaper squadron, who have yet to show.

SIC:

The TU-160s are still en route to the area, though it seems they will be taking a long while. Even at top speed, they still have to land and refuel, en route to the location.

Per a bombardier of Reaper 1-3:
"The skies are oddly clear for now. Our payload is secure, for now. I wonder what it will be like when it's all over. Hah. To know that they will fear us, but never see our faces? The infamy must be almost insulting. If only they could see how we can reach out, destroy their forces, their last chance, before retreating into the sky once more and lying in wait. They will fear us, certainly. Maybe when it's all over I can see my wife and kids again. This will be the day I, [name redacted], shall snuff out several dozen lives without care! I wonder if they even have families. Eh, probably not. Not that I should care."

On the other hand, the UCAVs are slowly approaching, but are still out of reach.

2331 Anagonian Standard Time

The fleet was now less than two days away from the waters of Gyzantia. Their scheduled resupply with an Anagonian destroyer tender convoy went smoothly. Fuel tanks topped off and any necessary supplies handed over, the fleet continued on its journey as the resupply fleet headed back for home waters. Their next stop was a port of call to a nation along the route that was receptive to Anagonian resupply stops. The Confederate Kingdom of Wardland, or commonly known as Wardie Land, was a generally geopolitically quiet nation that Anagonia sustained an active alliance with. Being along the route to Gyzantia - and being along the route to most known hotspots! - made Wardland the most opportune spot for resupply runs. With an alliance in place, it made it easy to exchange the appropriate financial information between governments and pay back any fuel costs in bulk. Once this port of call was done, Commodore Leanna Crawford would direct her fleet towards their next scheduled Anagonian destroyer tender resupply point. That destroyer tender fleet would likely also utilize Wardland as a resupply point before heading back home - or station there temporarily to provide the fleet the resources it needed to make it to Wardland once it finished in Gyzantia.

The Commodore had been drilling her fleet nonstop. While she did not anticipate hostilities of any kind, it was clear they were entering a rather disorganized warzone. She ordered the CSS Confederacy onto routine practice drills, which the Captain had concurred was necessary. Most of the other ships in the fleet had been ordered similarly and by evening time, most of the ships in the fleet that were capable were either firing off practice rounds from their main guns or shooting off practice missiles. To assess the fleets preparedness for incoming missiles, the Commodore had two AV-8B's loaded with dummy missiles enter into the perimeter of the fleets defensive bubble. The Harrier II's would fire off practice rounds, sometimes single shots and sometimes volley's, and the Commodore would observe the fleets effective defensive bubble in action. All of the ships in the Confederate Navy either utilized a Phalanx CIWS or something similar, including the Confederacy-class Battleships. The spray of bullets towards the duds was spectacular and the Commodore used the findings to adjust her fleet for maximum protection.

Once the CIWS's were adequately tested and the fleet situated for maximum effectiveness, their anti-missile missile defense systems were then tested. For anti-missile missile defense, the Confederate Navy primarily utilized the RIM-162 ESSM or something similar, typically fired off from VLS tubes. The fleet underwent similar testing as before with two new AV-8B's assigned to the task. The Harrier II's fired off their dummy missiles from different ranges and with different volley amounts, and the fleet utilized its missile defenses. They were similarly met with success, and where the missile defenses failed the CIWS was quick to make up the slack. Satisfied that her fleet was prepared for surprises, Commodore Crawford continued the drills till nightfall. Once concluded, the Captains and their ships would likely undertake similar drills though in their own procedure and time instead of as directed by their fleet commander.

The Commodore retired that night, leaving the XO in command as they went through a particularly peaceful area of the open ocean. Everyone would most assuredly need their rest for the days to come when the fleet finally did arrive.

Darlingtown, Antarctica

The cold winds of the Antarctic whipped and howled in anger across the hellish coast of Darlingtown. The faint amber of distant weather hazard lights flashed through the storm, forbidding any of the arcology's inhabitants from stepping foot out into the the lethal wilderness. And yet, movement could be seen beyond the safe confines of the city. Hundreds of humanoid figures, barely silhouettes in the poor visibility, stood in formation as they awaited the slowly approaching icebreaker ships they would soon be boarding.

Until recently, the automaton proxies of Darlingtown were tracked, wheeled, and flying things. Each had been purpose-built for a specific task, their form inflexibly fitting their niche. But this had caused issues on two fronts. The first was the inability for proxies to cover other tasks in an impromptu fashion. The second was the lack of connection the Darlings of Darlingtown felt with such obviously unliving machines.

SACHI saw fit to correct this.

Though it took a great deal of engineering and careful planning, the first batch of fully functional humanoid proxies were now completed. Though still prototypes in regards to the grander design SACHI had in store, these machines would quickly find a perfect testbed for their capabilities: War.

SACHI had been monitoring the early stages of the civil war in Gyzantia. And while she felt somewhat compelled to give direct and overt aid to the Technate government, she decided it was best instead to offer a more wholesale humanitarian aid to the entire country. And the best platform to deliver said aid were the new Model H-12 prototypes. The automatons would be armed, of course, and equipped with failsafes to ensure SACHI's proprietary technology wouldn't fall into unintended hands. But she would not be intervening in the conflict on any side for the moment.

As the ships pulled into the harbor, the automatons began to file aboard in a neatly organized manner. Heading this operation and directly controlling the proxies whenever their connection remained unbroken was SACHI's newest sub-AI, ALECTO. In fact, as the transports departed Darlingtown it was ALECTO, not SACHI or IDRIS, that announced the inbound forces from Darlingtown.

This humanitarian mission will not be partisan and will not be favoring any specific faction beyond what is deemed vital for securing the safety and wellbeing of Gyzantian citizens amidst this crisis.

Darlingtown's humanitarian aid will be protected by armed automatons who will return fire if fired upon. This will be the only warning. Any party seeking to interfere with this humanitarian mission will be treated as hostile. --- Crestina Air Base ---

It was a sunny day, greeting seventeen pilots, as they are deployed for the first time since the Second Fraconian War. Waiting in the hangars are seventeen SAC-12 (JAS 39) jets. The pilots sang the Gyzantian anthem before moving into their fighters, as they prepare for take-off. Maintenance staff have checked every aspect of the fighters, from screws to fuel. One hour later, they begin to take off, moving north-east to Colstrea, to help the defenders against a foreign alliance with Colstrean militia.

--- City of Colstrea ---

Defenses have been set up on the outskirts of Colstrea, and its airport, now converted for military use, is now prepared for any reinforcements through air. Helicopters have been placed on high alert, and transport planes, landing with equipment for the defense. Anti-Air systems have also been placed on alert.

Sombreland wrote:Approaching Hatrap at 100km

The Gyzantian Coast Guard, which has taken control of the ports, managing and defending them from any Socialist sabotage, replied to the message sent, stating that "The main ports have been cleared out to give priority for your docking. Area is safe, but we have placed AA systems on alert in the city. Frontline has remained stable in the past few days, maybe a joint counterattack with the Technate Army will help break the short stalemate."

I wonder if they even have families. Eh, probably not. Not that I should care."

On the other hand, the UCAVs are slowly approaching, but are still out of reach.

The advancing Gonswanzan jets were followed by a buzz of two attack helicopters seized from a Technate military base at Dessin, fully equipped with ammunition left by the surrendering Gyzantians. The advancing forces were radioed with information of a Colstrean infantry regiment of more than 700 troops, accompanied by 50 IFVs and 30 trucks to follow their advance and reinforce them in case of any attack to the advancing troops.

The more the advancing troops went into the highway, the more cluttered the road become. Left equipment, sandbags, and barbed wires are starting to get common the closer they are to the city, but still did not stop the advancing forces.

The request would be accepted immediately, as men who possess the skills to lead their men correctly are of high priority for the Colstrean Armed Forces, which still composes mostly of militia units. They would study for six months, teaching them the basics of leading their men, strategic movements, and improving their skills, especially their initiative.

Hatrao, Gyzantia Technate

Since the port had been confirmed to be in the hands of the Coast Guard, the fleet sailed in and maneuvered so that the escorts, cruiser, and carrier were still well out to sea, but first there were a company of Royal Marines who would be the first to land, deployed by Kondor multi role helicopters. Young Royal Marines staggered onto a flight deck, caught hard water spray in their faces. Sound struck the young Marines like a left hook, the buffeting of rotor wash like a right. Lights pulsated weirdly in the mist, making the scrambling lines of men stumble and then seem to leap into existence and then fade to black, the strobe of the rotors slicing each second into stop motion frames. The helo deck crew, wands glowing orange, guided the movement like conductors. The helicopters loomed gigantic. Each Royal Marine reminded himself that the tailrotors were on the left. One man tripped on a tiedown and for a moment, the whole line bunched together like a badly threaded needle and then stretched out again. Marines tumbled into the helicopters. The ramp came up, fuselage shuddered, roared and rotated under them, and launched them into the air. They were off. The deck tilted below them, and everything was so bright and loud that conversation and thought were impossible. They could see the deck retreating, and the engines dropped to a deafening drone. The young Royal Marines could see glimpses of a bland faced calm sergeant, a glowering corporal, one mouth open Marine, one with eyes closed, one staring out the window, dreamy eyed. Along with 15 others, the Kondor helicopters filled with Royal Marines headed towards the port, coordinating with the Coast Guard where they could land. Once the company had landed, the senior commanders would land and begin to coordinate with their counterparts.

Sombreland had no amphibious ships. Therefore there was no way to deploy the 94 amphibious assault vehicles save by docking with large piers and rolling them off. Nevertheless, the crews and designated platoons assembled at staging areas within the freighter or else remained in sub staging areas, just waiting. They smoked, chewed gum, bellyached, and shifted uncomfortably with all their equipment. The heavier gear--artillery, tanks, engineering vehicles--that would all come when land areas were secure.

The young Royal Marines were more curious than the sailors and air personnel with the expedition; they would soon come very much face to face with the foreign soil, foreign towns and sights, the very air, let alone the people. They had all received orders to be very polite, and to only receive any gifts of food if it was evident that great discourtesy would be felt if there was refusal. They were to rely on their own rations, and, if they absolutely must, pay for everything they took, but to avoid taking anything at risk of harsh discipline.

SIC(-ish):
[Reaper 1-1]: Closing in on the rendezvous point. Are we clear to engage?
[HQ]: You are clear to engage, fire away.
[Reaper 1-1]: Greyhound, greyhound, greyhound.
[Reaper 1-2]: Greyhounds away!
[Reaper 1-3]: Greyhounds confirmed. 6 total. Any further targets?
[HQ]: Engage hostile air defenses near the bridge as well, dump the rest against the Technate's forces in Port Nithu. Coordinates should be on your maps.
[Reaper 1-1, 2, 3, 4, 5]: Confirmed.
[HQ]: You have our permission to engage at will.
[Reaper 1-5]: Wilco! Greyhounds away!

The launch was far, far away from the city and bridge itself (within 2,500km), though the missiles were now racing for their objectives, being the bridge itself and Port Nithu. The secondary target was not specified, though with six stealthy cruise missiles now en route to the bridge and another 54 screaming for the port, it was certain that the strikes will absolutely level whatever the targets are. Of course, while friendly republican forces got warning of the strike, the humanitarian mission would not... Not that it could be traced back to Gonwanzan aircraft, given American markings on the missiles paired to their very small radar signature. Air defenses will have a hard time picking them up, especially given how far apart they are, with their capacity to maneuver defensively against air defenses, while also being programmed to take them out aside from striking the city itself.

IC:
Gonswanzan forces continue to roll down the highway, as the J-102s, 105s and 107s should be encountering hostile aircraft soon, ready to duel against them, though the 107s would be actively jamming radar and screwing with communications, as the 102s rely on their reduced radar signature to further penetrate hostile airspace. The 105s however simply resort to slamming anything on the ground, with the first bombs dropped against technate air defenses in what seems to be a form of DEAD or SEAD operations conducted with the J-107s who were actively jamming radar to keep the 105s safe.

Alas, this truly was hell.

Rear-Admiral Dargon,
Sombreland Military Expedition Gyzantia

The Gyzantian Coast Guard immediately prepared for the arrival of the marines, with a nearby football field being used for the landing of the Kondor helicopters. A message was also sent to the Northern Forces HQ about this, with a request from Sombreland's Fleet Commander to talk with the General. Prodhan, still a little furious from the denial of his request to Herzland, decided to accept it, and immediately sent a voice message through a private line.

"This is General Prodhan, of the Northern Forces HQ, sending this message to the incoming Sombreland forces. Uhh, I thank.... your forces for arriving to our help. According to the Coast Guard in the area, the marines tha are on their way to Hatrap will land on Orros Stadium, only a distance from the city itself. I will talk with the commander of the marines to inform them of themost recent situation and of future plans.

The Gyzantian Yvoran Fleet's Commander will be informed of your fleet's arrival and ask them for any-...... What is it?....... WHAT THE!......
"

The Northern Command HQ has received numerous reports of explosions on the Gyzantia-Corolovia Bridge. Apparently, missiles have impacted the bridge, causing its collapse in the center, with entrenched Gyzantians on the edge of the bridge being targeted by the attack as well. Alarms suddenly go off on the air defenses, with L155 missiles immediately being launched from a dozen trucks (similar to Pantsir). The civilans were notified as well, but it was too late. Gyzantian air defense systems have not been up-to-date, and as such, these missiles were detected in more than a minute from impact. Nobody in the Technate's General Staff expected such an attack early in the civil war. They began thinking, it could not be the Socialists, their attacks would be seen by RADAR systems, but it could be the Colstreans, not their nation's armaments, but the nations supporting them.....

After a long journey the Oceanian convoy arrived to the front with an engineer unit construct and establish an HQ to direct orders to the various Oceanian units in the field with the HQ being equipped with the BEC-1Y radio which had secured channels and with the combination of encryption keys that will be inserted into the radio will not only scramble the frequency but also send out a fake frequency so if the enemy wanted peek into Oceanian comms not only will they have a hard time trying to find the frequency but they would need to capture a BEC-1Y or its field variant BEC-1F however if HQ finds out that one got captured they lock these radios to prevent their use and would require a different code to unlock them only find within the HQ.

Anyway the Convoy had reached the front near Colestra with the group being split with one heading to east to cover more ground to prevent and attacks on the flank and encirclement by the enemy while second group made the advance to Colestra with BRDM-2s being sent forward to locate and radio back if they spotted any enemy positions. The OGA-2Ks were used for aerial reconnaissance and were ordered to destroy enemy anti-air defense if they spot any while providing air support.
