[The Aquaria]

Let's turn the time back to months ago, to explain how did the situation become like that.

The peace conference of the Aursian Civil War, while bringing peace and democracy to Aursi, later officially the Democratic Federal Republic of Aursi, did not satisfy all of the Aursian people.

The Communists complain that even when they win the war by forcing the monarchist government to a peace treaty, the regime did not exactly become socialist, or even leftist. The 1:1:1 ratio in the Parliament allowed all parties to have equal power, yet failed to let the communists achieve what revolution is in their minds. Right now, their power is still too weak to create a socialist Aursi.

The Democrats worried about the fact that the former government is still the new democratic government, while just changing the surface into a party called the United Aursian Party. It remained largely popular among the Aursian population, and the brink of the death of Aursian Monarchism seems to revive on its own.

The United Aursian Party, without anyone's feeling of surprise, won the first election in a landslide and won 431 seats in the parliament among the 450. While being secretly monarchist and against the Treaty of Aurtumn, president Ariza Inshirah, after the resignation of the former president Calvin Dexter, decided that a referendum is going to be hosted in favour of monarchy restoration, which then resulted, in the expectation of the Aursian, in a large percentage to restore the monarchy.

However, the referendum did not represent everyone's opinion, while roughly 25% of the whole population voted, which is not enough number for an overhauling decision to be made. The Aquaria and the KTO countries demanded the abolishment of the monarchy before it is proved truly democratic, but the government of Aursi pretty much refused.

So, like what you are seeing right now, a war is going to happen between both coalitions. What will happen next? The permanent death of the Aursian Monarchism? Or the decline of KTO? This is a war of destiny.

1. Most importantly, no WMDs, including all type of nuclear bombs that causes radiations, all PMT and FT weapons that does not exist right now, and all weapons in theory. If anyone dare to use any of the above, they are permanently decanonised and marked in the lore as a destroyed country.

While being the nation writing the ultimatum, the Aquaria did not declare war as early as other KTO nations. Instead, the federal government called Ms. Apu Valo, the ambassador of the Aursian Embassy in Tokisaki City, to come to a conference in Babyls Palace.

Twas time...

The Harutyunyan - at the helm of the fleet - set sail from Dardanellia...slowly advancing towards their destination. Following behind her were the Vazgen, the Ambartsumian, the Gorgisyan, the Melkonian, the Krpeyan, the Demirchyan, and the Sargsyan - all of which had received their baptisms of fire during the Armenian conquests of much land in the Balkans...and all of which had been of Russian design; as per typical for most of the Armenians' navy. The fatherland's naval force may've been one of the newest in the world - and yet, it'd earned its name in the Mediterranean during the war with Muqaddasia - having fought valiantly against the Moslem hordes.

The commander of the fleet was Vice Admiral Hayrabed Toumanian - of whom had also seen action during said war. One of the late Hrach I's closest advisors - Twas he who had advocated for the formation of an expeditionary fleet...even if it diverted funds from its many defense-based counterparts. Though only having seen 'real' naval combat few times - he had proven himself a capable commander; one worthy of distinction. Twas he whom aided the coalition at Zarnicovia during the latter's war against Lisamia - after all.

Let slip the dogs of war, and let the waves crash beneath the fleet's glorious might...

It was a beautiful morning in Eagle City, but not for its high-ranking bureaucrats, there was a meeting between the current "Regent Parliament" and some high-level AFR military personnel, both sides wanted a peaceful solution, and they arrived. to a conclusion, the AFR couldn't get involved militarily in this, but it couldn't leave one of the allies behind, it turned out, the meeting came to a conclusion, the Atlantician government would try to communicate with Aquaria, they decided to do that by email. The army was divided, some wanted war, others wanted to try to resolve the conflict diplomatically, but one thing was certain amid so much discussion, the AFR would have to, sooner, or later, throw itself deeper into this giant pool.

Her Majesty Queen Ariza I suddenly received a knock on her door. The person knocking was her Heir, Prince Tahsin. Ariza I opened the door. Ariza felt something wasn't okay by seeing the look on Tahsin's face. No sooner had Ariza asked him than he said, “We've been invaded.” Ariza knew that something like this could happen. But she knew, the will of the people rested above all. Few Moments later, she would get a call from the Aursian ambassador in Aquaria, Ms. Apu Valo. Ariza knew what she would say, but still received the call. Ms. Valo would say, “You should know by now, what happened. Anyway, I've been called by the Aquarian Government for an attempt at diplomacy. I'm going there.” Ariza would cut the call and whisper, “What a Coward!”

Forces would arrive at the Aursian Coastline to prepare for a Coastline Invasion. They knew that, once they landed, Game was over. So they would immediately start planting mines all around the coastline. They would place and Anti-Ship Missiles (AshM) and Surface to Air Missile (SAM) batteries guarded by technical infantry. Lockheed U-2s would take off in order to warn if there's an Aircraft. They wouldn't be going out of Aursian SAM range in order to be safe. Stealth Fighter Jets are readied. Stealth fighters wil swoop in behind enemy planes attacking recon planes. Surface radars and Over-The-Horizon radars would be enabled. SSSS-1 Submersible Ships were spread all around the coastline.

The proud Harutyunyan - alongside the rest of the most noble fleet - continued onwards...many of their crewmen slumbering inside of the behemoths. Twas a long journey, after all...and a good sailor always needed his rest. What use would barely awake, stumbling buffoons bring to a war besides cannon fodder? Nothing - that's what. The Vice Admiral knew this all-too well...having seen many a discouraged and over-worked sailor fall victim to the enemy's attacks. Twas horrible - yes - but Twas war...and there wasn't a sliver of room for failure.

Enter the Chief Mate - Apraham Tateossian.

"So...", asked the admiral, "...how much longer must we travel?"

"A few hours at most, sir...if the conditions are optimal."

Toumanian nodded...smiling. Twas one of the few times he'd gotten some sort of good news. Usually - Twas tragedy that the aging officer would receive...and tragedy he would return. Surely - a few hours was still a bit of time...but it could've been worse. They could've ended up like the poor bastards who'd went to Ontario...being forced constantly to stop at every locale. This time - though...would be different. There would be no rest stops...no - it would be one, long rush towards the target. A glorious journey indeed. One of splendor, even.

The morning national security briefing was dragging along. There's a lot of issues in the world. Today's briefing was largely focused on the coming KTO invasion of Aursi. The invasion was easily telegraphed as tensions rose between Aursi and member states of KTO. Satellite images showed KTO nations amassing fleets in their respective nations, full of both warships and amphibious warfare vessels. Many of the fleets had recently left port, presumably on route to Aursi.

The briefing officer moved to a slide showing major sea lanes that would be affected by the war. "Here are sea lanes that will be negatively affected by the war. KTO has a history interdicting UADC member-state ships, so any shipping in these areas may be threatened."

The Caesar considered that for a minute "The Third Fleet is close to the area. Have them FONOP the area and ensure no commercial vessel is harassed. International waters must be respected." With that, the briefing continued.

At the naval port, various groups of workers were getting the fleets ready to ail towards Aursi loading multiple armored vehicles from APCs to IFVs and tanks and other support vehicles such as SPAAs and armored cars on the Novo aircraft carrier OFJ-2Ks were having radars that could be tuned to low-frequencies installed along with infrared search-and-track systems being installed the same equipment was also to be installed on the land variant of the OFJ-2. while needed equipment was being moved onto ships lines of troops were making theirs onto the LSD ships.

Long time no see readers! On a normal day, I would've talked about International Incidents, National Informations, Political Scandals and everything like that. But today, today is no normal day. Aursi might have to experience what it had experienced earlier. Pain, Suffering. Aursi has been invaded by the KTO. Led by the Aquarians. Let me explain how everything happened.

Few days earlier, the Aquarian Government expressed concern over the legality of the Monarchist Referendum and the establishment of the Crown. Their main claims were, Aursi was becoming a dictatorship, it was breaking the Treaty of Aurtumn, Aursi was frauding elections and what not.

As many of you can understand, all of this is nothing but rubbish. Aursi wasn't breaking the Treaty of Aurtumn in any sort of way. The treaty said that after the war, Aursi wouldn't be influenced by any other nation. The Treaty of Aurtumn prohibited the creation of an 'Absolute Monarchy'. And did we do that? Absolutely not. They said, we were becoming a Dictatorship, well, I don't understand in which dictatorship the queen has no power and the Democratic, elected Parliament rules. But still, Aursi gave a Calm answer to those damn Aquarians.

2 days ago, The Aquarian Government published an ultimatum saying, if Her Majesty Queen Ariza Inshirah I doesn't step down and abolish the monarchy within 48 hours, KTO will be forced to take a Military step. Aursi became based. They denied the ultimatum and said, we will go to war if necessary. The Aursian Military even started to mobilize. I along with many Aursians thought that, Those bastards are too big of a Coward and Stupid to invade.

But today morning, many ships of KTO allies were seen leaving their ports, which is a hint towards an imminent invasion. There also has been rumors that the Aquarian Government has called the Aursian Ambassador to The Aquaria, Ms. Apu Valo. The whole world now knows about the invasion. Aursi has been invaded.

My opinion? I believe Aursi has the capability to win a war. We just need an incredible mindset and moral support from the Public. We can win, We will win.

The Captain saluted and headed out of the office.
The President changed into her military uniform. It was a black uniform with blue highlights and a sapphire blue laural. Blue stood for the office of the President. for the balance between Monarchy and the Senate. It stood for democracy and for the authority of the president, which she would use to keep safe the Imperium.

As she headed out of her office into the grand staircase. 4 Imperial guards flanked her and escorted her out of the Large Presidential Palace where she went inside a a black limo made by VIA, the premier automotive company of the Imperium. The Motorcade of 21 cars exited the Palace driveway and entered the busy roads of Imperia City. Cars made way for the Imperial Motor cade as they went down Corona Avenue and Plaza de Avant-Garde (Vangaurd Plaza). The motorcade stopped at a Large complex filled with sailors and aircraft. The Emblem of the Imperitoria Aquarian Force (Imperial Navy) shined in the sunlight as large ships could be seen behind the Naval HQ. The President walked out of her Glossy Pitch Black Limo and was greeted by the 2 Imperial Grand Admirals (Rank above Grand Admiral) of the Navy alog with some of the commanders of the various naval vessels. As she walked to the docks, she could see hundreds of Imperial Legionnaires board their trasnports, ready to fight once deployed.

"The ships are ready and the last of the Legionnaires and Sailors are on board. Were just waiting on your command."

The President walked up to a podium in front of the ships.

"Legionnaires and Sailors. Today you are going to Aursi, to defend our values and and allies in this crucial operation that will determine the future of KTO. To all of the brave men and women present here today I wish you good luck and may to be safe, even though in reality you will go into a blistering warzone. But may Mars & Athena protect you and Ave Imperium!"

The ships started sailing away, Leading the fleet would be the Supercarrier AIA Vigilance accompanied by the transports and 40 other naval vessels. Almost the entire Imperial Hospital Ship fleet was deployed with the invasion force.

The President went back inside her limo and the motorcade would head to the Defense Complex aka the "Snowflake" to overview the military operations.

General John Nelson Sherman took a sip of his coffee. For a while he had been stationed in south Patagonia where the most interesting things that went on where sheep kidnappings and the occasional illegal fisherman. “So what the fuck am I doing sailing on a carrier to Aursi?” That’s what he was thinking as the ship departed from Montevideo towards the small nation. He’d fought abroad once before as a Lieutenant in Maqqudashi however he wasn’t that big of a player and only led a small force of about 4,000 men. In that time he was known for the brutality he showed to the civilians living there as he burnt down entire villages as reprisal attacks for assassinations. He had spent a short deployment in the radiated wastelands of Cyprus while the government figured out what to do with him. Shortly after returning home however he was promoted to a Major and given command of South Patagonia defense. Now with an army of some of the most well equipped and well trained troops in the Galapagos army behind him, he set sail for Aursi.

Surface Radars were alerted about the incoming fleet, SSSS-1 ships would take position to bomb the fleet. As soon as the fleet would arrive in distance, heavy bombing would start from the coastline. Lockheed U-2s would drop AshM on the East Lankians. Their target was to iradicate the East Lankian fleet. However, they would send missiles as well. Some would miss and some were deflected by SAMs. But, some were able to reach the Aursian Coastline. Which cost 79 people's lives.

SIC: SAMs were guarded by Highly Mobilized Technical Infantry so they could be relocated before the bombing took place.

While knowing your nation's friendly request to hold the conference in the Palace of San Martinez, we would like to point out that the Aursian representative is the Ambassador of the Aursian Embassy in Tokisaki City, who is already in Tokisaki City before the whole incident occur. Therefore, it is better to hold it in Babyls Palace in Tokisaki City, when it is obviously much convenient in compare.

We would like to once again invite your nation to send a representative to the conference. If if is needed, we will send bodyguards for your representative to prevent any accidents happen. We hope a peaceful solution to the situation, either.

Five Minutes After Entering Aursian Territorial Waters

Captain Grayson Robinson observed the readouts on the CIC before him. The Thursday-class was typically designed to be a standard, top of the line hunter-killer submarine whose sole objective was stalking and monitoring potential prey. Some of the submarines under the Thursday-class, like the Apollo herself, were specially refitted submarines designed for specific or unique tasks. In the case of the Apollo, she was one of three Thursday-class submarines outfitted for extended-duration intelligence gathering operations. This meant that her crew was a mixture of standard Navy personnel as well as Confederate National Intelligence Agency personnel. Specialized equipment had been moved into her, replacing standard equipment typically reserved for submarines of her intended purpose. The Combat Information Center was one of those additions, placed at the center-fore of the control room. It was a similar to a map-table with digital readouts and screens above the flat-screen table. Most of the information displayed was incoming, processed information from the outside. The flat-screen table was also touch-screen, displaying the general digital map and estimated position of the submarine comparable to known nautical maps.

"Conn, Navigation, on course for one-two-zero at ten knots," reported the personnel responsible for steering and managing the position of the submarine.

"Navigation, Conn, Aye," Captain Robinson replied.

"Conn, Intelligence, sensors are online and reading," reported the personnel responsible for utilizing the specialized equipment designed to "spying" or intelligence gathering operations.

"Intelligence, Conn, Aye. Transfer feeds to CIC for live readout, please."

"Transferring feeds to CIC. Intelligence, Aye," replied the officer in charge.

Captain Robinson watched as the live-feed of the multiple screens came to life. There were various readouts, much of which would not be understandable to the common sailor. To a trained and seasoned submariner, however, much of it made sense and was easily readable. A lot of the readouts were transferred straight from Sonar to Intelligence as the two departments in the control room worked in tandem to gather the necessary data for mission fulfillment. Several of the readouts were specific and unique to Intelligence, utilizing top secret equipment that either honed in on EM frequencies of various types, utilized deep listening sonar, or other equipment specific to intelligence gathering ships across the worlds navies. There wasn't anything too spectacular about the equipment, nothing out-of-this-world, nothing fancy or requiring special treatment. While most of it was classified, it was all generally equipment tuned and honed enough to be set apart from the standards sensory equipment it had been derived from. There was one specific set of equipment unique to every Anagonian ship, however, and that was the Fleet Link Communications. Regardless of wherever a ship or vessel was, it was always connected in some way, and Grayson had never been able to figure that one out.

The connections were determined on location and grade. Typically, a surface vessel was connected under grade green; good connection and good reception with all vessels on network. Grade yellow was reserved for vessels undergoing extreme weather events or other circumstances preventing a solid connection, such a hurricanes or unique natural or unnatural EM or Solar events. Grade red was usually reserved for submarines, like the Apollo. They were always connected, but typically depending on the depth of the submarine the connection would either revert to "dial-up" speeds or could magically connect at lightning-fast speeds. Submarines were unique in the Confederate Navy in that their commanding officers approved what information was sent over the Fleet Link, due in part to the usually sensitive and classified nature of their patrols. In the case of the Apollo, Captain Robinson had a strict filter on that information, but generally approved a wellness report of the ship for the benefit of the Admiralty.

"Navigation, Conn, set depth to six-five-zero and set speed to five knots once depth is attained," the Captain ordered. Typically the Officer of the Watch would be ordering this, but due to the unique nature of the Apollo, much of the standard obligations and responsibilities had to be shared.

"Navigation, Aye. Setting depth to six-five-zero, Aye. Setting speed to five knots once complete, Aye," Navigation called back.

Grayson looked at the readouts again. There was a lot of ships either coming in or already in the vicinity. A lot of activity. He wanted to keep quiet and out of the way. Their job wasn't to get involved, but to monitor, to catalogue, and to observe. Their findings would help the Confederate Navy ascertain the capabilities of their allies in the KTO as well as those on the opposition. Diplomacy was a unique sport in world politics. It was unique because you would commonly utilize every asset available to determine the diplomatic capability of other nations. Military prowess was of particular import because it signified how big someone else's stick was and how much you needed to duck when they swung it. This intelligence gathering operation would monitor that capability, assess the competence of the fighting force being monitored, and eventually relay the findings of the intelligence gathering operatives back home for processing.

"Conn, Navigation, my depth is six-five-zero and my speed is five knots."

"Navigation, Conn, Aye," replied Grayson. He gave a nod to the Officer in control of Navigation before resuming watching the readouts. He wasn't particularly interested in the intelligence readouts, though they told a lot. He was mainly watching the sensory readout.

"Captain?"

Grayson looked behind him, seeing his XO. He nodded in thanks as he took the outstretched offering of coffee. "Always on top of things, XO. That's why I like you," he said as he took a sip.

Commander Williams gave a wink as he sipped his own cup. He examined the readout above on the CIC. "Anything interesting, yet?"

"Nah," Grayson replied, turning around to examine the readouts again. "Gotta let the system run for at least an hour before anything relevant comes up. What we're seeing is the live, unfiltered feed. Things will become less jumbled, less confusing. I'm only seeing a whole lot of steel above and near us. They've probably already begun or are beginning to organize themselves in whatever events are unfolding up there."

"Mmm," the XO replied in way of a grunt. "Want me to take over for a bit? You've been on station for fourteen."

Fourteen hours. Grayson rubbed a hand through his hair. How did time fly by so fast? He swore he was only five hours into his shift only three minutes ago. He sighed, shoulders slacking a bit.

"Yeah, maybe you're right," Grayson relented, his thoughts beginning to protest but his body surprisingly showing how tired it was after the XO mentioned the time that had passed. "I'll sleep for eight, maybe."

"Take all the time you need, Cap," Williams said, winking.

"Alright, XO, you have the Conn. Wake me if you need me," the Captain said as he took his coffee with him to the aft of the control room. He entered a bulkhead, heading for his stateroom.

Williams watched him go, as did most of the personnel in the control room. When they verified he left, the XO raised his coffee mug.

"I have the conn," he asserted. "You may now relax a little. Put on some tunes, Nav."

"Navigation, Aye, XO. Putting on some smooth 90's Jazz," the Officer said, grinning.

They all liked the XO. The Captain was alright, he just didn't allow them to let loose when on duty. The XO did.

As the smooth jazz began to quietly play in the control room, Captain Robinson stood outside the bulkhead, pressed against the wall. He began to chuckle, softly, then sipped his coffee. Shaking his head, the elder Captain never understood the necessity of the younger generation for the benefits of things like the music the XO allowed to play. The results, however, showed the actual benefit. When the XO was around, performance on all stations soared nearly 40%. Williams would make a fine Commanding Officer one day if he kept fine-tuning his approach like this. The Captain, without a word or thought of disapproval, continued his journey to his stateroom with a smile on his face.

President Donald Trump is going over some paperwork when his National Security Advisor Robert O'Brien enters the Oval Office. Donald looks up at his NSA with a smile, "What can I do for you, Bob?"

Robert looks at the Commander in Chief with a nod and hands him a set of documents labeled Top Secret. The President motions for Robert to continue speaking while he reads, "Well Mr. President, it seems we have a problem on our hand with an ally of ours Aursi. They decided to revert back to what they know best in the form of changing back to Monarchism and several foreign governments apparently didn't like it. They are currently under attack and I say we assist them in any way possible." He waited for the President to speak.

The President looks up at his NSA with a frown, "You are right Bob. Relay orders to Norfolk that I want the USS Ronald Reagan, the USS Harry Truman and their battle groups ready for deployment. Any Sub near Aursi watch and report for any ship that comes near the Aursian coast." Robert nodded and left.

30 miles off the Aursian coast
USS North Dakota

The USS North Dakota, Block 3 Virginia Class SSN, is at periscope depth creeping along at 5 knots with its towed array deployed searching for surface and underwater contacts. Captain Morgan Fitzgerald stand in the CIC watching as his sailors and officers go about their work when a sonarman yelled out, "Captain, sonar contact bearing 040. Very faint Sir." Morgan pats him on the shoulder, "Good job Alex."

Morgan turns his head to his Helm, "Helm, Change course to 045, make depth 200 feet and all ahead one-third."

Helm nodded her head, "Changing course to 045, making depth 200 feet and all ahead one-third, Aye Sir." The sub started to head on course 045.
