Bosnia is invaded Sweden from Teeside. Northumbria fell into civil war and there was an independence movement, these two factors made it easy pickings.

Normally that would be true as Sweden’s military inferiority would lead them to concede their highfalutin expressions of ideological and moral force before any actual fighting.

However, for some unknown reason, multiple countries are sending half their armies to stop the conquest of Sweden.

IC: new propagandists and intelligence personnel are read reports from Sweden’s own military that say they would be conquered in less than a year if fighting an invader on their own.
