Stationed at Southampton Harbour, the troops of the GSEF - Muqaddasia would begin their travel to Muqaddasia to support the Western Entente. First was the CWS Elder Aircraft Carrier, carrying a large amount of the operation’s airplanes. The rest of the force mounted upon ships lended to them by Greater Sirne Worldwide, and 2 Zaratan-class superheavy ships. By the end of the day, they had reached the straits of Gibraltar, which would take hours for the fleet to cross. There, it was decided that the main target of the force was the city of Beirut, and prepared for a final stop in Malta for the next day. Recognising the ranger they’d soon face, air defences were set up with regular patrols and CIWS on standby for missiles.

Were the rumbling of armour and the far-away shouts not enough to give their arrival away - the sudden waves of artillery and missiles would. Working in tandem with the aerial bombardments, these strikes were (hopefully) intended to weaken the Muqaddasis' armour and artillery; thus allowing the 5th's (albeit nearly destroyed) convoy to advance further and further. The enemy's (non-stealth) bombers too became a target, with missiles - from both the land and the sky - being, once again, used. To avoid enemy fighters, many of the MiG-31s employed evasive maneuver's similar to their foes' - which, of course, had mixed results.

Indeed, the 1st was the 5th 'reinforcements'...and they were keen on breaking through this long-lasting stalemate.

Karekin pointed that many Liga members were unarmed, simply helping to carry the cross into Muqaddasia.

In the Egyptian front, Olpenese forces push from the landing beach top the city. They get about 1/3 of the city before the Muqqadasis reinstate the stalemate. Almost 200,000 Olpenese soldiers replace the 15,000 (I looked at real numbers in wars, this is more than generous) that died in the war so far. They begin reorganizing for a further push, letting soldiers rest.
Outside the city, Olpen creates defensive foreign positions. Machine gun nests and artillery positions can be seen dotting the current front, all with explosives attached should the front line move back. Pill boxes are placed at all hills, and they are all supplied more than well enough.
Generals are happy to see the fortifications, and some recommend using a tactical nuke. However, the usage of a tactical nuke will lay with the Chamber Minister. In the meantime, incendiary weapons and cluster bombs are dropped on fortifications, with troops advancing soon after recon says a frot is destroyed. The bombers are new and fly very high (for a bomber) while going fast. Air-to-surface missiles are also used often.

The 2nd Fleet fires a first shot, with the rest of the force staying behind in Malta to avoid the chaos of coastal defences. 2 nuclear submarines start moving towards the Suez Canal and the Sinai, to disrupt Muqaddasian transports in the area, accompanied by a small detachment of patrol boats and 5 ‘Stream-class’ frigates. Back in Malta, the Elder class AC starts to seem busier, and the Naval Air Wing starts planning for air supremacy missions ( aiming for limited air superiority ), and strikes against industry and logistics. Aware of the ceasefire in Beirut, and knowing that it would be impossible to supply a force only through there, they start preparing for further coastal incursions. It’s becoming a common occurrence for the Special Airborne Group’s 1st and 2nd regiments to attack coastal defences in the Sinai and Lebanon in secretive night raids.

Heavy bombardment of the offensive and of the enemy headquarters and front line commence, hoping to shatter their front so that the Muqaddasis could rush in.

Muqaddasia would be glad to negotiate a deal with Yitanka. We know that Yitanka is an honourable nation, and we would be glad to negotiate. We do not wish more bloodshed if it is possible to end it.

The Muqaddasis switched tactic yet again, moving far enough back so that hand grenades and rockets would do no or minimal damage, whilst the Armenians were pounded by missile, artillery and tank fire. Missiles, drone and air strikes now especially targeted artillery, conducting a large-scale attack with massive bombardment of the artillery.

The Armenians also refused, noting that they got equal rights, and were never oppressed under the Medinaist Republic. They also pointed out that Muqaddasia congratulated Gdridg II on his coronation and even gave him Armenian relics, and now Muqaddasia is thanked by invasion. Peter Elie made a speech, announcing that Karekin almost certainly knew nothing of the Medinaist system in Muqaddasia, and if he did, it meant that he was a liar.

A few warships are struck by these missiles, but they respond with their own ballistic missiles. Two warships are taken out of commission, along with two fighter planes. Bombers and fighter planes also fire continuously on Muqadassian ships, as Aumburan warships push further and further inward, undeterred. Aumburan submarines, making efforts to hide from sonar waves, all 80 aumburan submarines fire missile after missile at the muqadassian ships, striking them several times, as Aumbura's warships continuously move closer and closer, also firing missiles.

Oh glorious Malta. In peacetime it was a tourist hotspot, skyscraper hotels and luxurious restaurants littered the boardwalk. Further inland you could see shops lining the streets and houses of the local inhabitants. Despite the seemingly peaceful atmosphere war was never far away. Just off main street was Rauon Pualiso military base, home to 5,000 of the regular garrison and now filled with 15,000 Crusader troops. Just behind “The Knights” hotel was a SAM site the owner paid the local military garrison for. Now with war kicking off again the military seemed more active than ever.

Already 18,000 of the invasion force “Crusaders” had disembarked on the island with the remainder on their way. Fighter jets on the island garrison had been patrolling the islands airspace for a while now and with the arrival of a proper bomber division raids against targets in the levant were intensifying. So far armor support had been slow to arrive and only a total of 200 tanks were stationed on the island and delays in the shipping of them proved a logistical nightmare to those in charge of invading the levant.

Back at home propaganda kept the people pro-interventionism. Many saw Marjarhapia as a fallen threat, one that could no longer compete on an international stage and now Galapagosian culture had shifted to a cutthroat capitalist policy where the main goal was trade. Nevertheless the population still wanted to capture Jerusalem a failure of the previous administrations and an achievement that had alluded them for so long.

OOC: Yes. It's not really that hard. Make some mines, put up some guards wholl shoot anything that moves, get a motion detected turret. Not Fort Knox, but you won't be getting in with just IEDs and outdated weapons.

To which, the message was quickly relayed to JRS Maricha, a Revolution-Class Aircraft Carrier, where the 3rd Sichanashi Fleet command relies. Accepting the datalink, they set out a message to the Yitankan 1st CEG:

Affirmative. Information will be noted within the tactical datalink and the CMS. The Janpian Revolutionary IFF tags and shared datalink, which ensures a shared tactical and operations information, communications security, and enhancing coordination, between the 2 navies, is also sent within this message.

Red Sea

Currently, a detachment fleet at the Red Sea lead by JRS Honheryo Draya (Honyerie Dragon) is preparing to mount an assault at Jeddah and Yanbu, along with various spots near the Route 55. Muqaddasian Navy in the area are still active, yet damaged. Proceed with caution

Noting the incoming missiles from the Muqaddasian Red Sea fleet, taking its absolute bearing, relative bearing based on the outer ring's ships defense perimeters, and other information, the Avescho-Class alone located at the center point unleashed over a hundred sea skimming Exocets towards their location, which was made more accurate thanks to the AWACS guidance and detection of Muqaddasian ships. As for the incoming missiles, ERAM SM-6 was used to intercept majority of the missiles. Surviving missiles was then intercepted by RIM-116 RAM missiles and ECM. Those that weren't intercepted and was able to reach the visible horizon, was then burnt and intercepted by LaWS. All of these is thanks to the Revolutsiya CMS AI planning board, the program it has to register incoming hostile tags, and the AI assist to intercept unsupervised tags within the provided window for intercept.

Drones that were attacked by some technology, such as nerfed leonidas, have then retaliated successfully due to their short range and small intercept frame. They launched an AGM-64 towards the ground, which is an effective air-to-ground missile, noted for its accurate targetting and acquisition system. Of course, drones that are attacked by jets are shot down and destroyed. Meanwhile, the first sorties which were attacked by S-300s lost 3 aircrafts and damaged 5, out of the original 20 from Pandora. Noting that the rest of the missiles are from S-300s, the jets fly low, which makes the S-300 missile range go lower than 300 kilometers. Meanwhile the attack squadron from the Gulf of Aden, going unnoticed, they pillaged whatever defense systems they can find, radars, airfields, oil, convoys, and anything, unleashing their entire AGM payloads to the ground and set back to the carrier.

With the AWACS in the south and west, incoming Muqaddasi aircraft was accurately pinpointed by the fleet's VLS systems and long range aircraft, which was then attacked by RIM-161, noted for its accuracy and capability to even intercept ballistic missiles and LEOs. These missiles are guided and can direct itself with the help of AWACS and SPY-6 AESA radars, which provides the missiles some real-time information of the Muqaddasian jets. The number of missiles launched will be the same amount of the number of detected Muqaddasian jets, making sure to clear the airspace in a manner of asymmetrical warfare. Meanwhile the Hisshins equipped with BVRAAM launched their missiles, which was guided by the second pilot, ensuring that the Muqaddasian jets get hit.

Though noting that Muqaddasia has no radars or AWACS capable of using long range missiles, the Hisshins simply dodged the missile path from its launch point, thanks to AWACS early warning to the pilots, and continues on the purge every last vessel and installations.

Heavy damage was dealt to Muqaddasi ships and aircraft. The Muqaddasis decided to switch to asymmetrical warfare, with most of the large carrier groups and ships moving north and small, stealthy boats carrying out attacks against enemy ships. Suicide submarines and speedboats were brought back into fashion, stealth boats were used to fire on the enemy and the sea near the coast was mined. Muqaddasi aircraft stayed near the coast, patrolling, shooting down drones and firing at all enemy aircraft, using chaff and flares whenever possible.

UAV operations were halted given the attacks from Muqaddasian aircrafts. However, seeing how some jets are still left around thanks to AWACS and LEOs, the command wanted to completely obliterate the Muqaddasi airforce and ships in the area to fully secure the region. As such, another wave was launched, this time, using the remaining SM-6 of the Avescho-Class and additional launches from the 4x Katyachas. Overall, 478 missiles varying from SM-6s and Kalibrs were launched, aimed at wiping off the skies from Muqaddasian jets and launching surgical strikes to airfields. Since the Muqaddasian jets are near the coast, this is made accurate and deadly, giving them no time to react.

Thanks to Pandora radars and AWACS, the fleeing carrier group was targeted by hypersonic sea skimming missiles from Pandora, while the south fleet launched over 35x exocet missiles. This creates a pincer of attack towards the carrier fleet, attacking from both the north and south. All of this is once again made accurate thanks to the AWACS, ARTEMIS IRST, LEOs, and SPY-6, which made such attacks accurate and gives the crew some real-time information for the guidance systems, ensuring that the missiles hit their targets.

Stealth boats that were detected by ARTEMIS IRST or patrolling helicopters was then fired by the ship autocannons, while their attacks was intercepted by RIM-116 missiles from one of the ship launchers. Suicide speedboats were immediately shot down by CIWS Phalanx, making sure that everyone is dead in the boat. Thanks to the earlier passive sonar buoys setted up, suicide submarines were detected even before they can get within range of the fleet. They were then attacked by anti-sub acoustic torpedoes that were launched from the ship's hull, firing over the direction where the submarines are detected, hoping that the torpedoes can get to acquire their targets.

Meanwhile, Hisshin jets from the south began launching pincer movements towards the coast, utilizing BVRAAM missiles towards the general area. This is once again thanks to AWACS for allowing the pilots to see the extended range from their radars.

Meanwhile, basing from IRST reports to the coast, attack helicopters are sent, followed by helicopters that are capable to mine sweep. These attack helicopters fly low, attack fast, and hard to spot on radar due to its altitude. The minesweep helicopters, as the bame suggest, will minesweep the coast in preparation for the landfall. These helicopters are all covered by the warships and Hisshin jets, who continuosly patrols the Red Sea, with the coast within their kill range.

Long live the Janpian Union of Revolutionary States!

Beirut was destroyed. Quite a shame for any attempts of a takeover of the city, but as usual there was an alternative. Command preferred Beirut as a landing spot not only for its harbour, but the central position in the region. Not much was possible in terms of logistics further south in the region, so a new staging area was chosen. The northern town of Tripoli (Lebanon) had a harbour large enough to sustain the attack. Therefore, the operation’s plan was finalised and named, with forces moving in to an advantageous position. This would be a dangerous move, bringing themselves east of Cyprus into Muqaddasi waters, but was worth the risk.

Operation Gallipoli - Phase 1

ORBAT: 1st and 2nd Special Airborne Group, 1st Marine Assault Regiment, 2 Airborne Assault Groups, 2 Destroyers, 40 strike planes and 15 fighters

Total Manpower: 23,000 Men, 2 Ships, 55 planes
(Air superiority missions still underway)

The day started with the usual shore bombardments, pummelling coastal defences while sparing the harbour of any damage while precise attacks continued in the skies. The SAG were able to land in the harbour and take defensive positions around key infrastructure. 2 miles south, the Marine Assault Regiments were able to pierce important supply lines and secure a decently sized foothold of the coast. The regiment would start to manoeuvre towards the city while the 2nd Airborne Assault Group seized important strategic positions, allowing the SAG to advance inland towards the inner parts of town, where urban conflict would slow them down, and preparation for the second phase began.

IC: The Muqaddasis simply let loose their longest range missiles, then deployed chaff and flares. The bomber, escorted by several stealth aircraft, managed to escape, due to it being STEALTH (emphasis for you, Armenia), and other bombers continued bombing, especially targeting ammo supplies. Muqaddasi artillery bombarded the enemy artillery, and the Muqaddasis pushed forwards.

Elie pointed out that the Muqaddasis hadn’t even touched it, and blasted the Liga’s entry as being an invasion of “barbarians” and not a religious procession at all.

And then came the 1st...

How dare these barbarians do such a thing?
How dare they encroach on sacred lands?

The Armenians wasted not a sliver of time: their S-400s stationed along the border, and the 1st Air Corps, immediately responding to the sudden attack.

As the darkness falls and Arabia calls

The tanks had finally arrived at Malta. At this point every soldier knew what that meant as the soldiers, some of which who had been staying on the island for weeks, loaded on to transports. While waiting for the final tanks troops joked, conscription had been removed only a year before and the majority of the army was made up of volunteers, mostly teenagers, who were encouraged by the scholarship and prestige serving came with. Last to be loaded on were the veterans. Soldiers from previous wars against IHS. They had experienced the bloody beaches of Beirut and were under no illusions on what they were going into.

With the final transport leaving Malta at last light chugging forward to the levant and to what many assumed would be bloody fighting. Cruise missiles were being used to saturate the city of Beirut the landing sight chosen by the higher ups. Sailors watched as the missiles soared above their heads creating a wonderful spectacle. As they passed Cyprus the people gathered around a looked at the barren wasteland from the nuking. There were rumors of bandit gangs that roamed through the ruins scavenging for materials and mutated beasts said to haunt the once populace cities. It was those 5 minutes that got people to think if war was really worth it, if what they were doing was for the good of democracy and the Galapagos or was it just a waste of human life caused by politicians bickering and historical grudges that were long gone. Galapagos militarism had plummeted since the collapse of Southeast Marjarhapias proxy empire and now that their rival was no longer able to threaten world peace many had rethought the militarized state causing the government to further lean away from the “shoot first ask questions later” unofficial policy they followed.

That was all behind the men now. Two bells sounded, signaling landing was in a minute. The men grabbed their bags and gripped their automatic rifles. Tank crews did last minute weapon checks and started their engines. The airforce was already busy protecting the landing force. As 59 seconds ticked the soldiers immediately dashed off in search of cover in Beirut port purposefully untouched by the rockets. Tanks were 15 minutes behind and now it was up to the specialized landing force to take the port before they disembarked.

Operation Gallipoli - Phase 2

Upon the arrival of Muqaddasi troops in large in Tripoli, Command had to reconsider its tactics. They could either speed through with armour at the front, or gradually make small and precise gains. The solution was a compromise, but would require additional forces to be sent, but not before 1 nuclear submarine was sent towards Beirut to cause havoc for the enemy.

Additional ORBAT:
-1st and 2nd Infantry Divisions, 1st Armoured Division, 1st Motorised Cavalry Brigade

Even though the manpower was there, a powerful attack needed a powerful air assault first. This is where the campaign’s doctrine of more precise firepower would shine, Night raids were restarted by the SAG, targeting more inland Muqaddasi caps and supply lines. As the battle in the skies raged on, strategic bombers would pummel Muqaddasi troops by the hundreds at a time, but the most important job was left to strike aircraft. This would mean launching missiles and raining hell from above. Whenever a column of enemies were there, Greater Sirnean bombs and cannon fire would strike them down. In the final stage, special forces would clear numerous buildings. It may take more time, but it took less lives.

Muqaddasi lines broken, chaos in the air, Phase 2 truly started.

The rest of the force arrived by boat, this time with armour. The 1st and 2nd Divisions would advance into the town. Muqaddasi soldiers had 2 choices, retreat or be surrounded. 2 miles south, the 1st Armoured and 1st Motorised Cavalrycwould start a pincer movement, connecting with the rest of the Marine Assault Regiments. With the harbour secure and enemies further away, 20 Hadur-class imported heavy howitzers ( part of my ORBAT in OOC ) were ordered to be sent as soon as possible.

OOC: Could you respond instead of telling me through telegram that you brought 150,000 troops in.
