A defense alliance defends its members itself. Be reminded that the KTO is a Galapagos-Janpia treaty at base, mainly so that I can protect Galapagos from any invasion back then. Going in an offensive war is not mandatory, but encouraged.

True, but you do have to admit that, in this particular case, there is no member to defend to begin with. So yes, it's an offensive war that a "defensive " alliance is fighting in, but that's alright. KTO can do what it wants honestly.
