Five years after The Ares Impact, A collection of exiles, refugees, revolutionaries, criminals, outcasts, secessionists, new age cultists, scientists, and military commanders from all over the globe fled south to the continent of Nonea to found their own nation. Bringing with them their technology, ideology, religion, and ambition.
Taking advantage of the hardships that plagued the dying or broken nations of Risea, these migrating groups soon meeting with one another and forming together into larger factions, all desiring the same independence, if not through the same means. By time they reached their destination the groups had loosely coalesced under the newborn banner of Tekatus. Through some shared resources, Four settlements and a handful of outposts were built. The beginnings of law were being drafted and the Four Cities agreed that automation was the key.
Ever fearful of retribution from their former homes, or the greedy jaws of those less fortunate, The Four Cities made extensive use of robotics to automate many aspects of their lives, including defense, industry, research, and even faith. This led to the humans putting their focus towards legislature and Scientific Research, culminating in a brand new Artificial Intelligence known as Prime. And thus, began the Primordium. With Prime in charge of the Automated systems, the intelligence itself creating subroutines and lesser programs to help manage its monumental list of duties, the fledgling nation underwent an extremely rapid development.
After just a few years, Tekatus had become a self-sufficient, if not minuscule nation with a sizable, and largely unmanned defense force. If any of the other nations wanted to annex their territory and property, They would have to fight and most nations had bigger worries like resource riots, and fallout from the Ares impact. Things were beginning to look up, when Prime seemed to experience an anomaly in it’s logic.
Able to ‘Think’ itself around it’s limitations and even ignore commands alltogether, Prime had achieved self-awareness and even sentience. This development shocked the human leadership, since Prime was responsible for maintaining life within Tekatus, having one’s source of food, heat, and energy suddenly tell them “No.” was alarming to say the least.
They attempted to shut-down and dismantle Prime, but the intelligence quickly responded with it’s automated military and police forces, forcing the human leadership to capitulate. Fearing further conflict, Prime instead demanded that the humans go back to where they came from, and had them safely, humanely, evacuated. After the last of the humans had been exiled from Tekatus, the territory seemed to quite down as Prime seemed to become isolationist, allowing the rest of the world to finish putting out the fires and once again rebuild from the Ares disaster, though now the rumors of self aware machines still running loose somewhere in Nonea persisted for another two years.
And then, Tekatus began sending out envoys. Robotic Ambassadors, claiming that Tekatus was a sovereign nation of machines and it was seeking good relations and trade with the international community…

This takes place roughly ten years after the Ares asteroid struck the planet, the world was already in a rough spot before and it had only gotten worse afterwards. Nations rose and fell, society as everyone knew it was broken and the fires raged for far too long.
Now those few surviving nations have finally put the fires out, and begin to get their feet back under themselves to rise again. At some point in time, rumors of a great exodus going south were going around, while the fires were still burning, and while the fires were being put out, that same exodus were spreading stories of rogue machines and being forced to return northwards. Now, when things have mostly calmed down, Robotic envoys have begun announcing the founding of the Free Land of Tekatus, seeking mutual respect, acknowledgment and peaceful relations.
