It was a slightly dizzying way down until they were literally free-fall then they hit the bed of air and started swimming in it to get to the hatch door and pulled themselves out collapsing onto the floor before rolling out of the way. The room had ways to go way and oddly stairs which they could of took down.

"...no." with that, Crilkk brought his foot up, and launched himself down the shaft, going headfirst, altering his shape to make it a teardrop shape, to help expedite his travel to the bottom

Reeder turned, confusedly, to the other delegates. "You lost something? A watch? Sorry, you know how the doktors are. That's the only way down."

The silver wolf barked and there was a flicker before an apple appeared in Iris' hand which was tossed at the silver wolf. The silver wolf ate it in one bite.

"We don't have that many snacks so don't ask for more." Iris said

"If you look at the spires from an aerial perspective, you can see they located one or two miles in a circle away from each other on the map, and make up the central point of the city. Each one is ringed with it's own defenses. And, there are only around eight Spires."

Reeder agreed, as he stepped out into the darkness of the Former City, lit up only weakly by the cleared paths, still-working lamposts, and patrolling Guards. Looking around, it was a dark, near black expanse of ruined Former City, with massive black buildings rising up at intersections into the sky, and a path of patrolled lights to form safe paths.

They were right back at ground level with barely bright but still working lights with guards watching for something. Big pitch black buildings rising up blocking any view of the sky. Not that any of them cared for it. Once you seen one sky you seen them all.

"If it was at home they'd of been violent not by us though kicked out." Iris said

Crilkk's communications unit was activated. 'that cannot be good news,' he thought. he separated from the group, locked the frequencies, and listened to the transmission. "not again..." he sighed, and then gave his reply. he listened to the response, then answered it. after the communication ended, he rejoined the group, and whispered to Reeder, "I may need to leave, something has come up. also, give this to Emperor de Sadev." he handed a crystal the size of a human hand to Reeder. "I will use it to contact him, if necessary." he walked back to the others, and said to himself, "this could get very, very terrible."

"Oh no," Reeder assured the group, "Washington was horrible even before it was nuked. If anything, the Former City is more of an improvement. Less chance of being killed, heh." He took the crystal, then said to Crillk, "Whatever you say. This will be a great subject of study by both the Mechromancers and Vasquail."
