Acornesian Civil War (IC)

[Acornesia]

Earlier today, ambitious admiral of the Acornesian Royal Navy and planned successor of the presidency from oracle stole Oracle's position, declaring himself the new president, "for good this time". At first Oracle was allowed a figurehead role, to avoid a significant backlash from the Acornesian community. However, Oracle made an announcement ordering Kwazy to step down, or else he would be exiled. He refused, stripping Oracle's figurehead roles and banishing him to isolation. Oracle made a speech from his isolated raft, but that was too much for Kwazy, who banished him for good.

Now, Oracle, the original president of Acornesia, has founded his reactionary group on the SS Cellion. With most of the support from the original founders of Acornesia with Oracle, and most of the support of new members with Kwazy, the nation is on the brink of a civil war, its fleets divided frm admiral to admiral for the first time in history.

Summary for Oracle's beliefs:
Oracle was the original president of Acornesia and the founding father of the country. He was responsible for all previous Acornesian decisions, and wrote the Motto "Make flags and love not war and blood!".

Summary for Kwazy's beliefs:
Kwazy has long been an ambitious admiral, with the desire for conquest. He believes in the right to slave ownership, and hates the motto of pacifism. He advocates for joining Acornesia or being enslaved under its red sun.

Oracle's Acornesia remains exiled on the SS Cellion, however mutinies have begun being planned by the Secret Police to infiltrate important ships such as the SS Visitorium (tourist cruise ship) and the recently renamed HMS Conquerante (modern battleship and unofficial military headquarters).
Meanwhile, Kwazy has ordered a submarine fleet to scan the area for any ships which may be disloyal to the new regime, including the SS Cellion. As well as that, Kwazy has shut down a church which expressed disloyalty to Kwazy, and has removed religion from the school curriculum.

The Aursian Confederation had declared war on the rebel group in Acornesia led by Kwazy. The Aursians were supposed to sent aircrafts towards Acornesia. But they were informed that Acornesian Air Force was loyal to the Kwazyans. So Aursian military planned to do an invasion by the sea, which is certainly loyal to Oracle. In this way, the Soldiers could reach with ease, and further reinforcements would be able to end Air Dominance of the Kwazyians. The Aursians would send 15,000 troops with transporters. They all were equiped with M423s and AK26s. The troops consisted of 9th, 3rd, and 2nd Light Armored Divisions and 10th Light Infantry Divisions. The Aursian Navy that was sent consisted of 80 Submarines, 52 Destroyers, 7 Battleships and 1 Aircraft Carriers. The Airforce was to be sent a little after the Navy. They consisted of 50 Lockheed U-2s and 75 F-111 Aardvarks. The assigned force started their journey.

Small colonial island somewhere in the Acornesian Sea
An amphibious Assault craft rolled onto the beach of a small rocky pacific island. Streaming out of it came marine after marine heads high the symbol of Sonakion emblazed on there shoulders. Further up a small group of people walked carefully down the steep hill next to the beach. Representatives of the The local colonial administrative government. As the marines walked off all over the island the local government representatives and the ship captain went to talk. The same was happening on the many other colonial islands and on various ships sailing Acornesian waters. Sonakion reinforcements had arrived.

The ship gently floated on the currently calm sea of Acornesia. In the bridge the command of the ship were listening to a broadcast from Kwazy's forces. "Minor Colonial island has been attacked and neutralised by enemy forces. Believed to be an attack from a submarine. Not one of Oracles forces. Request intervention by local Sonakion force. Over".

"Well that's us" an young officer piped up.
The second Mate turning to the captain then asked "Will we send a squadron there now?"
First Mate a large man with double of the experience of the Second Mate laughed and then noticing the Captain was not sharing in his amusement quickly added "Sir your surely not considering this? Entering open combat with an enemy without reconnaissance is against Sonakion doctrine".
"But we were ordered by Kwazy's forces to intervene right away. We must do as asked-"
"Exactly as asked" replied the Captain. "We are not taking orders from Kwazy and I am not sending a squadron into action without any idea of what there against. Order a reconnaissance of the area and find out what that fleet is.

[Reich of the New World Order]

The Grand Navy would start advancing towards the Aursi fleet. Their goal is to regroup and prepare for an enemy attack. Diplomats who wanted to establish relations with the Acornesian government were also present, the Prophet wanted to offer a deal to them. Oracle was considered a small liability, mainly due too his age and pacifism but the resources of the Cult could sway him.

The new missiles performed better than expected. Only the anti ship capabilities would need to be tested , after the Burst Missile test is finished the new Chemical MIRV ICBM would be tested. With its chemicals able to spread in water it should prove effective against ships and land forces.

Banshees were being readied, state of the art VTOL aircraft capable of either using their bombing mode to destroy ground forces or fighter mode to become a highly maneuverable aircraft capable of easily dispatching even the latest generation fighters. Their technology was not reverse engineered but provided to the Cult directly by the Stars.

The 24th Naval taskforce has been slowly approaching Acornesian waters. Led by the grand KRS Prince William The 24th had orders not to launch any attack, but to instead send a message to Oracle to ask for orders. Cpt. James Prowley quickly sent an encrypted message to Oracle's faction of the Acornesian fleet.

Message: Encrypted, Semi-urgent

Our fleet has entered into Acornesian waters. According to our scouts we have located the 2 different fleets. We can also see different fleets from Arusi and Laka. Our 24th Taskforce is prepared to carry out any orders needed. If no answer is received within 27 hours we will begin a small scale artillery bombardment from the KRS Northern Benin and KRS Enforcer.

Following around 200 miles behind is the 11th Task Force, much smaller and more used for patrols. The 11th taskforce did have a job. They were to simply patrol the area near the Acornesian fleet areas and relay any new information.
