Its very complicated. But in simple words, Janpia has a grudge on SM for something that happened 9-10 months ago. They created an alliance which opposes GCN, the predecessor of GENA to the fullest. More simply, there's been a cold war which ended couple weeks ago.

As I have said in the past, they are FT and have a conflicting timeline that I don’t recognize. I would attend if I could, but since Gonswanza doesn’t exist canonically I can’t. Perhaps another international conference with a similar goal or two can be organized?

Huh. Wierdly enough, I remember seeing them using Soviet or Chinese equipment (some are modified), and some few cold war concepts. Dunno that's even FT. As for the timeline, you can just decanonize some parts that doesnt fit yours, so that you can attend?

Ok then. I believe that instead of summits, it should be left up to the individual member nations of all alliances to decide if they wish to open up relations, but suit yourself I guess.
