It’s less like them randomly jumping in and more of their superior sensors (to scout out stuff) giving them data regarding the encounter with pirates

In terms of communications and sensors, due to how big space is, the system is approximately 8 light hours across, meaning light is taking about 8 hours to get from one side to the other. Meaning it'll take that long to see things across the system. Of course closer events can be seen sooner. Depending on how close you want to come in is up to your discretion, just take those distances into account. Communications would be working the same too unless people here have ftl comms.

System has 4 planets and a large asteroid belt. 2 rocky planets, and two very large gas giants. I'll describe the system more in detail in my first post. I'll wait to see what you guys say about being there already or jumping in after me.

I'll call that it for now until we start things up. I'll say signups closed for now.

Anyone have anything else to add before I load this thing in the cannon and launch it? Still want to know who wanted to be already in the system when I start if anyone wants to be?

Before any rules are made, how about this question: How/Why did the reinforcements get here?

HOW: Besides the fact well hyperspace their are comms

Why: Well its going to be a very very small fleet if an escort ship go's down the two other ships will want an extra ship

For now, no reinforcements. I want this to be a pretty tight and focused rp with high stakes. What do you have in mind for supernatural?

In the case of this, assume something is wrong with your hyperspace comms. Getting them fixed could be something that is deus ex machina'd later to be the "calvary" coming in. Honestly, I think it would be fun to have a massive ftl comm jammer that only allows lightspeed communications and nothing ftl to be sent. We'd have to blow it up to be able to have reinforcements come in. I think most people have 1 or 2 ships coming in anyways. I have 3 but one is going to go rogue at some point.

Also still wondering if anyone wants to start in system. If noone responds by end of tomorrow I'll assume I'll just pop in with no one already there and you folks will pop in afterwards.

My first post is going to the be ship folding to the system, the adding of the city into the ship, alongside strapping the ocean ships to the side. Basically just the opening part of macross.

So just to be clear, what are we seeing pop in to existence, Gothian? Is it a ship and several pieces of a planet popping in? Are the planet pieces habitable, ie are humans on them?

The ship(SDF-Acre), two human naval vessel, which are fused with the ship, and part of an island including a bunker. While the people In the bunker were alive, th island itself is frozen over in space, so it definitely isn't habitable.
