Akoev and Hopkins, per my instructions, arrived in the city with social workers, teachers, a small detachment of soldiers, doctors, and the like to improve local defenses, assist in local matters as needed, provide free healthcare, assist with educational matters, and the lack. Additionally, they arrived with food, supplies, and the like-- all while remaining self-sustaining so as to not draw resources away from the locals. The locals trusted us, and they worked with us when we were-- unfortunately-- driven out by fascist forces. But we didn't leave without a fight, and we were able to successfully save many thousands of civilians. When the democratic side eventually won, we were welcomed again and were able to do more work much more quickly. These are the kinds of things we need to be doing-- they are the things that work."
