For the first time Kanatus smiled as they fought, seeing Hojin’s unbalanced state. He saw the flash of blood and felt like a shark in the water. He closed in on Hojin, his eyes on the king’s feet. There was not much more conference rooms left for Hojin to continue his linear retreat. Not that the Paras intended to let Hojin retreat a step further. Kanatus lunged forward, sweeping his left leg behind Hojin’s foot, while he shot his left hand out like a viper, grabbing Hojin’s bloodied hand.
With a spiteful cruel yank, Kanatus pulled Hojin forward. For a spilt second there was a moment that he and Hojin looked like twisted bloodied version of a dance as Kanatus tried to sabotage Hojin’s stance. Fire blazed in Kanatus eyes as he considered what he might tell the Seoyese what had happened to their king when he had to present them his broken corpse. And there were movement again as he pulled Hojin towards his waiting fist.
