With cargo ready, Task Force 414 sailed towards the defenses of Muqaddasia. Preparations had been made to bring the crates on deck of the cargo ships for quick offloading. As the armed escort destroyer led the way, it slowed before stopping completely.

“You ready?” asked the officer as he looked through binoculars at the Muqaddasian ships guarding the harbor.

“Ready as I’ll ever be” answered Raythe.

“Patching you through now” said the soldier fiddling with a dial on his terminal. “You’re clear, sir”

“This is High Colonel Raythe of the Imperial Riftan Military. To the Muqaddasian ships in the harbor of Chabahar; We come bearing weapons to assist in your fight. Do you read me?”

Central Muqaddasia

The retreat of the Phenyzian rapid reaction force continued, leaving egypt and crossing iraq while avoiding conflict with KTO's forces aroud major city, the Imperial troops were rapidly falling back to iran along northern routes to ensure that their supply lines couldn't be disrupted. The new plan was to let western Muqaddasia fall and fortify the east while directly ensuring land-based supply lines to Phenyzia remain open.

New Najaf

At the same time as the main force retreated eastwards the Einherjar operatives in New Najaf were being driven back, most of their light assault vehicles destroyed during the initial hours of fighting. With merely 100 operatives across the entire city their impact was limited and there was only so much they could do when the local militias kept failing.
One of the operatives managed to diable a tank with a thermobaric missile from his Freischräler, sniper fire taking him out during the attempted retreat would moments later reveal another sinister trick of the Einherjar operatives, a heavy explosive vest triggered shortly after any pulse from it's wearer stopped, blowing up him and his vehicle to prevent their gear from falling into enemy hands.
The Gonswanzan troops would soon find out that all the operatives who were sent to the city were equipped with these, making the few times there's been a close quarters engagement in the ruins deadly for both sides.

International Waters

While the Imperial Navy had slowed down attacks on shipping and supplies they hadn't fully stopped, which the Janpian helicopters would soon find out as two particularly unlucky Kraken-class submarines were struck by an acoustic torpedo each and soon sunk to the bottom of the ocean.

OOC: Damn, massive F for those subs. Here I thought it would just tap one. Ah well.

IC:
The push on New Najaf and Baghdad press on, though infantry are being cut down readily not by enemy fire, but by their vests. This soon pushes a new tactic of just tossing in incendiary grenades to "smoke out" enemies and civilians alike, with mortars aiding in pushing artillery closer to the city center. The capitol building is now under fire, as tanks continue to move in, engaging vehicles and taking hits from all sides, with rather few losses in terms of armor overall. Yet, mobility kills seem to be the only other thing hindering the advances, with tanks being detracked by IEDs or mines, stalling advances, and forcing infantry to run repairs or attempt to tow the vehicles out of the way so that the advance can continue. A desperate, yet losing battle for the poorly equipped and desperate militia.

In Baghdad, things were going straight to hell for the defenders. Mosques were turned into machine-gun nests along with hospitals, only for Gonswanzan anti-materiel rifles to take out the offending gunners along with scant shelling from man-portable mortars. Incendiaries were also used, given a fresh shipment of RPO-A Shmels and M202s to pour napalm upon the area, with actual footage gathered on the ground for research purposes.

SIC:
In all reality, the footage was being sent to Blackbirds and later Gonswanza itself not only for research but to further adapt their offensive doctrine, along with aiding for future projects. The MoD is watching carefully, while the space force adjusts the trajectories of their Terminator I and II series satellites to run more intercepts against hostile comms satellites overhead, keen on keeping a media blackout active over the area. In turn, long-range drones are launched to try to reinforce communications with Gonswanza, even if it means risking having the large, slow drones getting shot down or intercepted en route to the area despite their sheer altitude and countermeasures. Said countermeasures would be in the form of chaff and flares, along with a limited ECM complex intended to screw over tracking devices within the offending missile itself, but lacks the range to have any remote impact against radar stations or aircraft.

The Yemeni army has chosen to hold out at their capital instead of fighting us in the field, cowards.
It matters little they will burn the same, prepare the artillery to fire and have the bombers use napalm ammunition. Have the venoms patrol the outskirts and shoot anyone who tries to flee. Once our tanks and flame vehicles are in place have them advance in a flame wall, have the infantry advance behind them. Show no mercy to the heathens.
This is a costly strategy. Do we purge the city as well
We don't have the luxury of a long siege, we must strike hard and fast. Eradication of their army is priority, the civilians will be the garrisons problem.

They can handle themselfs, besides i heard a rumor of a possible ceasefire we should grab as much land as possible. The Prophets orders take priority over the war.

SIC:
Gonswanzan talks with Oman continue, again, the negotiators attempt to reason with the government of Oman to hand over the prisoners peacefully in return for aid, but again, the gov't of Oman declines. A request for their status is sent, but the response was a few photos and video of the prisoners staring at the camera blankly, seated on a (worn) couch, or lounging around in a larger cell. In turn, Gonswanzan negotiators attempt to threaten them with legal action via ULIBOR, but Oman denies that any harm was done.

ISIC:
This soon drives Laura Ortiz to throw her hand into the situation, deciding to activate Corpse Command once again to liberate the prisoners by force. The operators are briefed on their mission, before being loaded into a Rondel class that is sent off to deliver the operators to their destination in due time. These operators are well-trained, elite units, rarely used without reason, supposedly. Yet, they officially do not exist.

IC: Janpian UAVs are shot down by missiles. Muqaddasi bandwiths are altered to detect the Hisshins, and they are countered with slightly slower, but with anti-jamming equipment, supersonic drones, flying at Mach 1.9, as well as the fast and manoeuvrable Muqatil aircraft. Avangard missiles are fired at the Janpian tanks, and so are tandem missiles, often fired form many directions to counter the APS. Reconnaissance is now done mostly by small drones, the hidden camera network and fast-flying stealth planes. Muqaddasi reinforcements (mostly tanks) try to surprise the Janpians by attacking from the side, firing when in range immediately. Many of Muqaddasia’s longest range tanks are doing this, firing from about 7 km.

Muqaddasi troops in Tonga, already heavily dig in, fire Avangard missiles at the invaders. Small civilian ships are confiscated, with troops pretending to be fishermen attacking the enemy. Tanks fire with their T-90 FCS systems and GL5 APSs.

With the speed of the Hisshins, not to mention, the altitude advantage they currently have, they simply run away as Muqatil aircrafts scrambles into the air, attempting to gain altitude. The speed of the Hisshins are also much more faster than the Muqatil, allowing them to escape, regroup and land at the carriers, in preparation for another sortie. Attacks against UAVs were simply swerved away thanks to the Helicopter IRST, DIRCM, and ECM measures, which allows it to counter once within range. Laser guided missiles is one of the missiles that are quickly countered.

Revolutionaries began pushing towards further, now aiming to expand from Jeddah and Yanbu. They began to set their eyes on Mecca, cities along route 55, Riyadh, Medina, Buraydah, and the the entire Arabian plain. Noting the flat terrain throughout the land, more JP-1-AG tanks were sent, in preparation for a major assault. Meanwhile, Avangard missiles, like the usual sea skimming missiles, were easily detected by the ship's IRST, and were fried upon by LaWS. Enemies firing from multiple directions against the JP-1s, were stopped and killed by accompanying IFVs and Revolutionaries on the back. They also began raiding homes, equipping themselves with shotgun, anti-explosive armor, and shields against dangerous particles or explosions. Drones were all quickly shot down by LaWS within range, or anti-drone guns by infantry on the ground.

Noting that the 3rd fleet gained the overall of the Red Sea, they began setting up more beach heads, along the coast, landing off some tanks and IFVs. These were all supported by attack helicopters and additional Revolutionaries. They also set a no-sail zone throughout the entire Red Sea. As such, Corvettes or frigates attempted to call out incoming ships to sail away. Those who persisted were immediately shot down.

With the area being cleared and bombed to bits, JP-1-AG tanks, IFVs, Transport trucks, or the motorized divisions in general, began riding their way into New Najaf. Noting the flat terrain, tanks were sent first, detecting any possible dugouts, or enemy armor. Attack helicopters beats into the air, spearheading the advance before the tanks.

Muqaddasi aircraft, especially those with very long missile range, patrol the air to ensure that no Janpian aircraft can get through. MANPADS are used to destroy the helicopters. Muqaddasis, armed with Knightmare Lites and upgraded IDSF robots boost the defences of Jeddah and paramilitaries use hit-and-run attacks on the enemy. AFVs and IFVs such as the Batal al Watani and the Tharba are used to attack enemy infantry and armoured vehicles with their anti-personnel weapons and (against armoured vehicles) their long range incendiary weapons. Swarms of small drones armed with bombs attempt to destroy the helicopters whilst artillery bombards the enemy. Muqaddasi ships bombard Yanbu and Jeddah. Anti-drone guns are targeted by rockets and missiles.

OOC: Thats a highway from Al-Fao/Al-Faw/however the fuck you spell it to around Najaf and a bit past it. Think US interstate type highway but with far less traffic... Or rather, plenty of one-way traffic in this case.

ISIC:
The submarine carrying Corpse Command units pushes along, under the logistics train and avoiding hostile units off the coast of Oman and Yemen. Upon arrival and deployment, the operators hit the beaches of Oman under the cover of darkness, soon seeking out the imprisoned crew.

[The Aquaria]

The Federal Government of the Aquaria, and the Aqua Federal People's Liberation Force, have announced their decision to withdraw from the military crisis between Muqaddasia and Janpia. Following the agreement of the president of Muqaddasia to attend the parade on the Aqua National Day on 1 June, presidents of both nations will hold a meeting in Tokisaki Metropolis to seek a warming relationship and attempt to bring peace to the region.

From the scant sniper duels of Al-Faw to the speedy lines of Route 1 all the way to Baghdad and New Najaf, the war is still in full swing even as the front was closing in. However, one soldier decides to write down their story to let it be known, among all the video footage, radio callouts, and scant scribbles or logs saved to keep these memories alive.

Day 8 of the Battle of Baghdad.

I wonder if it truly is worth it, this whole operation. This war. Yes, I know, most people would say it truly is worthwhile, but it just feels a little odd. Perhaps it's just the desert getting to me. We have been here for more than a week now, the city is crumbling around us, and the artillery did a good job at wiping out most of the defenders and their positions. Yet, what remains are hollow shells of buildings and charred bodies that look like they could disintegrate into dust at any moment. It's a little haunting actually, since it's my first time going to war. Real, honest-to-god war. At least my family back home are safe.

Speaking of, I wonder if I will ever see them again. Ah, this armor shall protect me, along with my AR-416. I shall destroy Gonswanza's enemies as Laura Ortiz wills it.

Speaking of war, the reports from New Najaf are odd. Despite making swift advances initially, they've slowed down terribly with losses mounting from "suicide bombers". Yet there aren't any here. What's going on? The last time I saw anything explosive was a helping heap of undetonated ordinance that was cleared by a few engineers who tagged along given our heavy use of mines. Strange, no?

Still, the Gulf has calmed down quite a bit now, but mines are still in the area. I'd suggest against visiting this place, even after the war ends. Don't worry, I'll make sure I'll come home. I promise. In fact, I'll even make that promise to myself.

Perhaps I could even be hailed as a hero. After all, are we not heroes? Fighting against a greater menace? Driving a dagger into the heart of the Southeast Marajarbian empire?

I also wonder if perhaps the president or leader of Muqaddasia has had time to escape, given the long delay from the landings to the arrival at New Najaf, plus the siege prior. Eh, if he gets hung, all the better.

Alas, the Battle of Baghdad will linger on, slowing to a crawl as infantry have to contend with insurgents fighting from house to house, while molotovs are used from scavenged resources to counter them to some limited effect.

Fall of Aden
The Unity army advance towards Aden was swift and brutal. After the battle for Sanaa the Yemeni army was disorganized and almost out of manpower. They tried defending Aden and manged to stave off the first attack but the second attack and a naval landing by incoming reinforcements resulted in their lines breaking and them getting completely surrounded and annihilated. The city was relatively undamaged with only a few buildings being destroyed and most of its population remained in it.

We have secured the port and reinforcements are coming, shall we return to our original objective
Not yet, our brothers are tired and need rest. We shall commence a purge of the city, leave only the port standing everything else must be destroyed. After we finish the purge advance to Mecca. The arriving units shall focus on securing all of Yemen so don't worry about any surprises. Our victories here have garnered the interest of the Prophet and the stars, we might get some new toys to play with.

Blood Moon over Aden

Upon hearing the order the soldiers descended upon the city causing mass panic as they opened fire on anything that moved. Buildings were burned and bombed, people burned alive and consumed by the zealous soldiers. The cities religious objects were destroyed and a small shrine to the stars was created. Civilians who tried fleeing were crucified and left to rot under the desert sun. By the time night came the sky was turned red as the flame tanks spewed out fire everywhere and blood was flowing like a river down the streets. By morning only the port and some Unity structures were left. Aden was also renamed to Garshok in honor of the commander who captured it.

The decks of the ships rushed into a flurry of activity. Final checks were completed as the soldiers strode up upon decks so they would look impressive for their allies. Others readied the crates as the ships sailed into the harbor. Easing their way against the pier, the cargo ships offloaded their crates to the Muqaddasians.

Raythe began explaining the shipment to the Muqaddasian officer, listing the manifest and describing weaponry.

As the plane hit a bit a turbulence, Commander Ativan straitened a little. Everyone knew Ativan hated flying, but no one teased him about it for Ativan was a 6 foot tall former Italian boxing champion and a former Roman SNS[Special Naval Service] soldier.

"5 minutes till drop zones" said the co pilot

Ativan and his squad of 10 men were just a few of the 100s of mercenary soldiers paratrooping into Janpian controlled Muqaddasia to help them in their war.

“Copy, Muqaddasia” answered Raythe. He turned. “Alright boys, we’re going in!”

The decks of the ships rushed into a flurry of activity. Final checks were completed as the soldiers strode up upon decks so they would look impressive for their allies. Others readied the crates as the ships sailed into the harbor. Easing their way against the pier, the cargo ships offloaded their crates to the Muqaddasians.

Raythe began explaining the shipment to the Muqaddasian officer, listing the manifest and describing weaponry.

Along with firing missiles, naval ships would also begin seizing the few ships they could find. The GMCC would also retract command 1869# allowing the use of certain weapons in any on-going military conflict. Zarnicovian Novan Special Tactical Operation Battlions would also land in controlled Janpia allied territory in Iraq.

Muqaddasi missiles retaliate by firing missiles at the Zarnicovians. Muqaddasi troops from Iran pushed at the Janpian attacks in Al Faw, aiding the paramilitaries there. Iraq, Egypt, Kuwait, the Levant and Muqaddasi Arabia were put under a Permanent Patrol Zone, always patrolled by fast aircraft and stealth aircraft. Stealth bombers attacked the Zarcinovian ships.

Following being kicked from GCN ZN forces would 1.get a purge as pro-KTO members of AZNUP and the military took domance 2.massive protests across ZN would occure against the GCN. Hate crimes would occure against people considered to be pro-GCN. 3.The GMCC would decrease requirements to engage. Zarnicovian Novans would also aid their own paramilitaries in deploying they signifactly increasing manpower and avioding political instability by sending the voilent paramilitaries.
