At 2:13 PM on january sixth, 2029, a small missile impacted several miles away from the bovadian capital. It quickly determined that: A, it was made in the nearby nation of gaeo, one that had historically had tense relations, and B, its tracking system had been faulty. Gaeo, of course, denied any allegations.
Two days later, an aircraft carrier from Gaeo entered Bovadian waters for unknown reasons and was destroyed. Bovad then, a day later, declared war citing response to aggression as causus belli.
Both sides subsequently began to request foreign aid. A bovadian rebel group in the east of the country simoutaineously attacked government forces, citing escape from the current socailistic system. It has taken over quite a few towns and is recruiting.
The forces are in a standoff on the southern gaeoan border at present, but are advancing northward into gaeo's terratory.
