DECLARATION OF WAR AGAINST ULIBOR

Imperator Theodore IV has directed the Grand Imperial Ministries of State, War, and External Affairs to issue the following:

The Imperium will be joining you on this attack against Pacmanistan. We will be deploying the 2nd and 5th Carrier Strike Groups, the 12th, 9th, and 7th Littoral Combat Fleets, the 3rd Mine Sweeping Fleet, the 8th Submarine Squadron, the 4th Submarine Hunter Pack, 5 divisions of Marines, and our whole force of active duty stealth fighters and bombers.

In preparation for the soon to come landing, the GIAF sends in a squadron of B-21s ( bought from the US ) to use experimental EMP weaponry on Pacmanistan's coastal radar and other defenses.

The EMP knocked out some coastal radar, leaving the island completely blind to the southeast.

Using the naval route used by the Aquarian fleet, the incursion fleet captained by the aircraft carrier H.M.S Carnival and composed of other escort ships and battleships, heads towards the Island of Pac Manistan for rendez-vous with the allied forces, the objective in ideal conditions is to initiate preventive pre-invasion bombing ASAP.
The Aquarian forces are respectfully requested to report the situation of the enemy defense forces present on the coast.

The Imperial Russian government, retaliating against the Pac Manistanian strikes, declared war and neared their airspace at an alarming rate. Hostile cruisers and other warships were quickly rendered inoperable by Tupolev Tu-22M bombers as two Vyatka-class battlecruisers approached the enemy's coast. Their AK-130 dual purpose guns hammered the enemy port, sending the enemy into disarray. Enemy aircraft flying overhead were quickly destroyed by S-300 surface-to-air missile systems.

Following this initial siege, soldiers of the Imperial Russian Army landed on the beaches via Tapir-class landing ship, advancing quickly and utilizing their seaborne cover to their advantage. Dressed in 6Sh122 Masking Suit (6ш122), designed to conceal the soldiers in a variety of environment, they quickly slip past the hostiles in the midst of the chaos, targeting high-interest structures with various explosives.

Devised by General Igor Markov, the Markov Offensive planned to reach the Pac Manistanian capital in under a week, using their speed to their advantage.

Ooc how are they suppose to 'slip past' the barbed wire, trenches, machine guns, etc. that completely line the island's shores?

Ic in light of the Russian troops being held at bay by our shoreline defenses, PacMan Chief Leader Winkin B. Nodd signed an executive order that drafts 2,000,000 PacMan citizens ( out of a total population of 21,000,000 citizens ) between the ages of 16 ( the age of majority in PacManistan ) and 45. Furthermore, arms and ammo are being distributed to as many willing citizens as possible, so that in the likely event that the shoreline defenses are overrun, all forms of conventional warfare will be dropped and guerrilla warfare will begin.

Ooc Of course, technically 'last resort' is very subjective. It could be when your nation gets invaded, or when an offensive begins to fail in an unexpected manner. Take for instance, in the Vietnam War I'm pretty sure the US almost used tactical nukes to defend a position ( ps nukes are forbidden in this war, and any post using nukes will be decanonized. I'm just saying that if you do use bio or chemowarfare, use it sparingly and for good reason, not just because you felt like it. And please don't unleash a plague. I've had enough of pandemics to last a long time )
