During these three intense hours, Covenant forces throughout the map attempt to brace for the worse, but what of the human forces? As only the CCETF is blessed enough to resist the danmaku lightning from Raiko Horikawa. Pilots of the Covenant stand little to no chance to dodge against it, but trying their best to use all the available maneuvers it had. While this is happening, the purple nodes, but so too theirs, are taking the full brunt from time to time even if shielded from the crazy particle effects out of Raiko's orchestral performance as part of her routine across the sky. Because now the node networks of both sides are mostly screwed up by Raiko's danmaku lightning as Raiko makes her way to the other side of the troposphere, is when both sides must restart their node networks again, well mostly.

The ground turns into the usual summertime torrential downpour as heavy rains hit the land, trees moving left and right, gusty winds unintentionally set upon by Aya, the wind manipulator, isn't really helping, and Aya was just trying to capture footage from what's happening. She's not completely at fault. In fact, she can be heard in the background as she flies through the thick rain.

Aya Shameimaru: "This just in, Gensokyo! As we're live, I'm viewing what appears to be danmaku lightning of epic proportions never seen in a long while. What was that noise? Was that taiko drums? Anyways, this storm is surely freaking me out here! Keep tuning in as I, Aya Shameimaru, will continue to keep you posted!"

As it happens, nodes across the map as expected take random, but heavy magic damage from the danmaku lightning bolts from the sky. Assuming that Raiko makes it through her routine 3-hour visit, almost every single node across the map are either heavily damaged (whether it is shielded or not), or even returned to neutral status. The following nodes have been impacted by severity:

Youkai Mountain, Moriya Shrine, Myouren Temple, Prismriver Manor, Kourindou, the Human Village, and Misty Lake are the only ones being heavily damaged.

Muenzuka, Garden of the Sun, Primate Spirit Garden and Tougenkyou as special nodes, Higan, the Road of Liminality, North and South Sanzu River, Komachi's Ferry and Genbu Ravine nodes due to proximity of water, the Nameless Hill, the Youkai Forest, Alice, Marisa Residence, Forest of Magic and Bamboo Forest of the Lost nodes, the Life-Guiding Tree and Makai, due to the presence of trees, Eientei, and the Hakurei Shrine are all neutralized.

In Higan and Komachi's Ferry, the two isolated nodes from the one node north of it under Covenant hands is now lost. The other isolated nodes are from Makai and the Hakurei Shrine are also destroyed midway through it. Meimu and the Makai demons decided that perhaps this must be a node logic fix from Raiko's danmaku high up in the sky, and now Meimu must meet up by a risky flight move to skirt around the edge of the battle map to Youkai Mountain to converse with Tenmu of what is happening. The Makai Corps doesn't seem to care about not being able to damage whoever, they'll just keep attacking whoever is in the way and holding the line like they did back in the old days of warfare, forming up rows and shooting their full-auto danmaku rifles, then when they run out of magical ammo, they'll switch to bayonets to see if they can cut through their armor, and their numbers are still very strong, roughly 20 million or so left, they're very durable than the last time. They all even have a backup sword on their lower backs in case their bayonets don't do a thing, forged from Makai. They did however are able to split into a few smaller divisions to block the routes to Tougenkyou and Kourindou. Not a single one out of the Makai Corps is distinguished in who's leading the Makai Corps.

Back on the ground, Lena, having separated herself from the torrential downpour from all the others because she has no idea where she's going and maybe completely lost but her last known location from her surroundings was the road near Prismriver Manor. Her Sangheili armor and helmet is completely wet from all the rain eventually had enough and for once decides to lighten herself up for more agility, reveals her true identity upon meeting with Merlin Vunzontevo. Her hair is indeed a dirty blonde (despite being a vampire now), she was disguised as an alien the WHOLE time! And behind that Sangheili armor that wrinkled through exposure, is an early 20th century, 1910s school dress when she was in Milan, as well as the teleportation device that was on her upper right waist, a simple steampunk stopwatch.

As she has exhausted all her magical uses on that thing for so long, she throws the now useless thing into the shade behind her. She decides to let a bit of her hair loose from being drilled and curly before putting her favorite headwear back on, a few steps from her boots to balance herself, and warms herself up with a brief stretch back and forth. This is the true Lena Vitelli, an Italian beauty like no other. Her black sword is fueled by an enchantment that helps her absorb the health of victims per hit by large amounts, thanks to her rare knowledge of the workings of alchemy, and ever since she has kept that weapon well preserved and full of magical energy, using it like a rapier because she's a veteran fencer, even though it doesn't actually look like one!

Seeing her nemesis, she bows like any elegant lady in her own era, before she fights, she introduces herself, and for the first time in her life, speaks her language.

Lena Vitelli: "I am Lena Vitelli, the most elegant, most powerful Italian girl from the Italian peninsula and longtime Grand Servant of Grand Master Lucian and formerly the Prime Minister of my home country! Don't mind my odd complexion, it was a tragic tale I fallen for."

Dialogue now occurs between Lena and Merlin, in italics due to her being Italian.

Lena Vitelli: "Now, who are you, and I will ask you only one question through this riddle."

"When you have fought someone of your equal, what was your motivation to protect yourself from your foes?"

That someone was the demon queen Amari, was the one that Merlin Vunzontevo has defeated before alongside her relative Tirlevi Vunzontevo over five centuries ago before the latter sacrificed herself to save Heavenpolis. The responses are the following:

After what may feel like many minutes have gone by, one of the CCETF's Grand Masters, Zealot St Luci 'Demacee, is starting to feel concern for his Grand Servant putting herself in danger.

As the march is about to begin however, a second wave of reinforcements has been called. Seraphs will be in to assist the Banshees, including the already active first wave of aerial craft, and just like any other encounter with Seraphs, they are super-fast, super-agile, has shields, has cloaking, and turn on a dime even mid-combat. 10 million more ground units and 500,000 aerial craft are dispatched from the portal techs, 10,000 of which are Seraphs.

The Covenant ground forces will now head to Youkai Forest to check up on the youkai there, will take about a quarter of a day. The CCETF now heads to Higan, only without Lena this time, now at twenty strong, and will take about one full day to get there. They'll have to skirt around the Genbu Ravine to take the node back there since its been destroyed by the storm, and not by hostile forces, then they have to follow the Sanzu River before eventually finding the ferry and Higan. If they DO somehow find themselves under attack by the Dread Hunter later on which could be tonight or tomorrow or any other day, then they will shout together to counter the Rip and tear line by saying this, a quote reference to Hellraiser:

"No tears please, it is a waste of good suffering...!"

Throughout Gensokyo
Five million combat ground troops and 250,000 combat aerospacecraft were brought in to counter the increase in Kovunanto allied forces. Allied artillery units soon proceeded to hammer the enemy forces from afar. An additional 5 million soldiers, 250,000 combat aerospacecraft, 50 corvettes, 25 frigates, and 5 destroyers were streaming in to help reinforce the Allied positions.

Upon being asked, Merlin replied, "My name is Merlin Vunzontevo, Paladin of the Heavenpolis Order and former city governor of Heavenpolis. My motivation is to protect the city, Tirveli, and the Holy Guardians."

Moriya Shrine and Underground Weapons Factories

The Dread Hunter and the fifty Imperial Halberdiers continued with the fight and had managed to breach the entrance to the shrine's underground weapons factories. There they assailed ANYONE who dared to step in their way, and those who posed an active threat were slaughtered. The Dread Hunter and the fifty Imperial Halberdiers will capture the weapons factories for the Allied Forces. Oh, and the Dread Hunter made sure to create a danmaku weapon for his own, one that packs a lot of punch and lots of ammo. A fine addition to his collection weapons!

1,500 Imperial Halberdiers were deployed at the Moriya Shrine to help take it over. 10,000 soldiers were deployed at the Moriya Shrine to shore up the defenses. The Dread Hunter then left for the Youkai Mountain to kill those who aligned themselves with the Kovunanto Empire.

He is going to make the youkais there pay for ever siding with the Kovunanto.

Day 2: 14:45 hours Gensokyo time

There's no way for the humans to capture Moriya Shrine due to the node being shielded because it is not connected from their node network due to Raiko's temporal interference in the battle, but they can either capture or destroy the weapons factory. Seems like by the time the workers at the weapons factories are already found dead minutes after it had happened with their own stockpile stolen, that's 20,000 alloys now added to the UNSC's own resource supply, all that wasted for the Kovunanto.

Five minutes after the raid on the weapons lab, and the Dread Hunter arrived at the shrine to slay them. Suwako Moriya herself decided to unleash her own powers right before she gives in to devastating attacks by topping off the top of Youkai Mountain itself with rising pressure that will within a few hours to give everyone in the vicinity a wide berth. Sanae Kochiya with her miracle powers somehow saved Suwako and she used to come from the Outside World long ago before she became a major supporter of the old bloodthirsty regime, she still holds grudges towards the very kin she swore to give miracles before. For now, in order to send him away, she uses the power of wind that was generated earlier albeit unintentionally by Aya during the hectic magical storm to send a powerful gust to send him off the ground, and being an expert in thaumaturgic magics, Sanae uses Esoterica: Gray Thaumaturgy, a star-shaped bullet attack the size of an entire building and taller than herself to launch at further away, and the damage element is of course wind. Kanako, the one true deity of this shrine also assists in their predicament as well, will further amplify the same element, the power of wind, but with opposition, acting firsthand unlike Suwako. And she will use the high elevation and altitude to her advantage.

Day 2: 15:00 hours Gensokyo time

Unfortunately, Youkai Mountain is heavily defended and the node is shielded, meaning there's no way the humans can try to get to that node because none of the human side's nodes of their own network connect to the mountain, so they better back off, including their Dread Hunter. Momiji spots him on approach and warns nearby youkai around him to muster themselves for arrival.

Lena Vitelli: "I can see that. A tragedy that was foretold in the old legends. Poor sister of yours, though she fought honorably against Amari with you, she was tough to talk to for very much anything. And the people you swore fealty to them was commendable."

Lena Vitelli: "I injured you as much as you wanted to hurt me, and I gracefully received such wounds coming from that sword you wielded."

She gets a brief flashback at the previous duel before fading away to normal.

Lena Vitelli: "But, now I am back healthier as ever. This very spot was the same spot that Lucian and I fought Dan from another country in the 2230s while you slept in that tomb, a faithful member of the Violetism religion, similar to ours, and German-speaking too. Though we won, he went away, teleported. The moment he teleported away was the reason I acquired my own teleportation powers through study of books in my country, and hard training by a guild of hunters Lucian and I used to be that hunted down every last fairy in this land and in others. He became my Grandmaster after I was defeated, and I then became his Grand Servant long after Erica Blandelli retired her from position, at the time we fled from the past regime of fairies that resided here. An awful mass extinction event, and though I felt sorry for them, Kaza, Jysa, Daze, Thyko, Raza, and others were long friends of mine, and having saw Raza and Thyko died to the Huntresses-in-Training, that's how I used to know them back in the day. I even somehow at one point on Remnant on a mission to protect protected Weiss Schnee, and even trained with her. And then I ended up killing my good old friend, another tragedy."

Lena Vitelli: "But, even with this ancient magical barrier not letting me utilize it, I am still the strongest Italian woman ever lived. And don't get me started with how I ended up being a vampire. I hunted down some vampires myself for the good of the Pope at the time, but one night, I was knowingly bitten, I screamed for help, but the Crimson Sisterhood took me away to their crypt in Sicily, and when I woke up, I realized I was with the aliens in *she points to her discarded Sangheili gear and helmet at the shade* that attire I wore recently, to cover my identity, to cover my sins. When the Noble Prophets decided to have me answer to them of what I did, I told them everything I could, and nearly had me executed for what I said."

She then shakes her head to fight back the raindrops on her beautiful face.

Lena VitellI: "And now, today is the day I am going to fight you to the death, and this is how it ends for me. And when I am gone, people back home in my time will all remember me as the virtuous saint of all Italy, an inspired person to lead formerly as a Prime Minister, and a proud servant of someone, although mysterious as he can be, a hero wishing to be absolved, not to be punished. But my grave will not come back home or to the Mausoleum of the Arbiters, Eiki Shiki will judge my lifeless corpse knowingly that I served humanity back then well, and even though I'm a public enemy of humanity now because they turned their back on me and all my friends, I won't be missed, and will be neither loved or hated by so many I touched with my charming presence and soul."

And with all of that talk coming out of her now ended, she then readies her black-and-red sword, but wields it like a rapier due to her veterancy in fencing for over six centuries and three decades, perfected that she can easily defeat her in a few direct hits, possibly three.

Lena Vitelli: "Now..."

She gets into the fencing position, her legs stretch out as she knows exactly how, her dominant right arm gripping the weapon, her left arm to her hip for relaxing for a moment before moving the hand away to her back. A few quick twirls before grabbing it, three warm-up swings, one to the right of her, then a split-second later, one to the left of her, and then another second later, her sword leveling with her head horizontally to the left before positioning the weapon into the forward fencing position.

Lena Vitelli: "It's time for you to dance with me, elegantly and brutally."

She then switches back to Italian, but is translated at the bottom for her to understand.

Lena Vitelli: "Combatti o sconfitti!"

Throughout Gensokyo

The Allied Forces fought their way in the Youkai Forest, supported by combat air and artillery units that bombarded the area. Because the forest prohibits combat vehicles, airstrikes, artillery bombardments and infantry forces were the way to go. Allied combat units north of the Human Village were able to capture two nodes - one north of the Human Village and one at the Garden of the Sun. Additional Allied combat ground units were sent to the Garden of the Sun and the field in-between it and the Human Village to launch an attack into the Youkai Forest from the east. Additional Allied combat units were sent to help take Moriya Shrine.

Allied soldiers were sent to retake the nodes at Eientei and the Bamboo Forest. Allied soldiers were also sent to capture the nodes at Marisa's House and the Forest of Magic to completely cut off the Makai Corps. At the same time, the 1,500-strong Imperial Halberdier groups launched an all-out offensive against the Makai Corps. They will push the Makai Corps back, even cutting through them, with the central group of 1,500 Imperial Halberdiers aiming towards the conquest of the Hakurei Shrine and the capture of its node. The four Kovunanto-occupied areas east of the Human Village will be captured by Allied soldiers, who were also tasked with capturing the four areas' nodes. The Imperial Halberdiers will cut down the youkais for standing in their way, and the attack would push the Makai Corps back. Four more groups of 1,500 Imperial Halberdiers were summoned to protect the Human Village, now devoid of the human villagers due to being evacauted.

Allied soldiers at the Nameless Hill then captured the node. They immediately fortified the Nameless Hill.

Moriya Shrine

The Imperial Halberdiers present have been ordered to capture the Moriya Shrine node, which they did. They made sure to defend the node from the Kovunanto and all their allies, which would mean the battle for the Moriya Shrine would become a tug-of-war battle. Allied air units arrived in time to help the Dread Hunter and Imperial Halberdiers fight Suwako Moriya and Sanae.

And so the two fought. Both matched each other in terms of ferocity but when Lena was the most strongest woman, Merlin Vunzontevo uses mobility as well as artifacts given to her as her main equipment: the Sword of Justice, issued to her by the Knights of the Void and built by followers of the eldritch god of justice Zalnastius and god of justice Palnaemos; the Armor of Righteous Protection, issued to her by knights from the Orders of Parelsis and St. Sacrosanctus and built by followers of the goddess of knowledge Gnostica and goddess of peace Selena; and the Shield of Hope, issued by members of the Sovereign Military Order of Novaya and the Knights of the Void and built by followers of the god of luck Palernos, goddess of peace and safety Selena, eldritch god of justice Zalnastius, and god of justice Palnaemos.

The battle would be hard-fought, but neither side would give in. And yet, both dealt heavy damages to each other. Their fight would be interrupted by an Imperial Halberdier, who was present but hid himself. His gray shield bore a red compass rose logo, and a black crown with thirteen gems: eight orange, four red, and one blue. "You said you're public enemy of humanity, yes?" The Imperial Halberdier asked in a harsh and guttural accent. "Then tell me EVERYTHING about the Crimson Sisterhood, the vampire who bit you, and the people who turned their backs on you." Though he has a metal kite shield, a halberd, and two swords (a scutum and a knight sword), he doesn't seem to pose a threat nor a challenge to Lena.

Behind him were two other Imperial Halberdiers, and while they have the same standard equipment and imagery on their shields, the shields these two Imperial Halberdiers used were of the round type shields. All three Imperial Halberdiers posed no threat to Lena.

Gensokyo, Genbu Ravine, Top
Day 2: 15:30 hours Gensokyo time

The CCETF has successfully marched their way to the Genbu Ravine and retaken the node for the Covenant. It will be used for the Kig-Yar, Shade turrets and Wraiths as long-arc defensive artillery that overlooks the next node southeast of their position.

Gensokyo, Youkai Forest
Day 2: 15:30 hours Gensokyo time

The Youkai Forest somehow got caught on fire, arson is the cause by the humans, and surviving standard youkai fled northbound to Youkai Mountain, where it is colder and relatively safe. The more intelligent youkai all over Gensokyo as well as every other living inhabitant of Gensokyo that aren't the evacuated saw this as a crime against nature, from all allegiances, and accuses the human side for it, even borderline deciding to switch allegiances if they continue destroying the preserves.

Gensokyo, Human Village Outskirts
Day 2: 15:45 hours Gensokyo time

The Human Village is now under aerial attack by a small detachment of Covenant aircraft as a means to distract despite the freak storm conditions, unfazed at the poor visibility. Upset that there are no actual villagers to attack, not even Hatsuna and Ichiyou, they attack the fortifications around the village with fuel rod guns on Banshees, semi-auto red plasma from Phantoms, and the Seraphs' heat-seeking missiles before using counter flares in hit-and-run maneuvers. The Makai Corps, unfazed at their cackling faces, and fearless that they don't seem to budge because they feel no emotion in them, their eyes are soulless as Makai itself. Even though they're down to like 15 million now, they're still holding up their frontline, and the two split divisions from the main frontline are trying their hardest to prevent the recapture of Eientei, Tougenkyou and Kourindou. However, since they can't damage the shielded node, they can't do a single thing to it. Eventually, as time goes on, fatigue in the Makai Corps will settle in, and by sundown, they will slowly begin to fall back to the stairwell.

Since the Covenant aerial forces and the Makai Corps were unable to damage the Human Village node as well as the Kourindou node, because it is shielded. They needed a nearby node from the western side of the battle map before they can destroy it, and an error notification on the KBN reads in tan, and a loud error beep noise that the hit on the power node is illegal, twice.

One of the Covenant ground forces has picked up the yin-yang orb from an hour and a half earlier and are on the way to that node to secure it.

Day 2: 16:00 hours Gensokyo time

After the three hours of the storm from Raiko, and since Raiko managed to escape unharmed, she'll come back to do it again in the next few days. While there is still a bit of thunder and lighter rain, clouds are slowly beginning to recede, and the sun's rays are beginning to light up the area around the two. Lena can sense the rays coming near her, she activates her Sunscreen Aura, a normal spell card that lasts for 12 full hours with 100% sun resistance.

As she continues to fight, now fully protected from the sun’s rays, she then answers the question from someone in the near distance, having to raise her voice a bit over the swinging and magical sounds. She switches to English, so she can answer to the soldier.

Lena Vitelli: “Izora was the one who bitten me! That one vampire princess did me in! Last time she was seen when I was there was near Trieste!”

She then can get a brief glimpse of the shield that matches the description in colors.

Lena Vitelli: “I knew it! The colors the Crimson Sisterhood used were indeed black and red, but no orange and no blue! They are a vampire syndicate of masquerades meant to overthrow me for being an independent country and my relations with the Vatican! I managed to thin out the herd a bit with my best vampire hunters and local police, but they were too strong, even for me! A few of them are still alive to your modern nights, Izora included, so she might be an ancient vampire now, and may be its own queen running the Sisterhood!”

Lena Vitelli: “They declared me and my friends “public enemies”, because we are freedom-fighters for promoting democracy, elections, republics, and full independence! And I am no fool to their illogical finger-pointing, but I think the Crimson Sisterhood was behind the deception of making human nations into thinking we’re the bad people, and deserved assimilation into their ways, their ideologies!”

Even with the heavy damage she received throughout the exchange of swings, parries, magical attacks, and blocks, she scoffs at a few cuts and shrugs off the pain very easily. She is still halfway through the first stack of health, she is indeed very strong.

The storm has officially passed over Gensokyo, and the flying meteorologist, Iku Nagae, who can read the clouds, sends the all-clear to all of Gensokyo:

"Everyone in Gensokyo, the magical storm is now over! It's all clear!"

WEATHER UPDATE: STORM CLEARING

As the storm was finished the aircraft resumed normal operations. They started attacking enemy soldiers. The sky would be lit up by constant attacks. Reinforcement would start moving towards the mountain while the northeast front started to capture the road. The small strike force that left for the shrine would be diverted to the devil manor to assist allied forces. Yukshu heavy siege platforms would start massive bombardment campaign. Areas were they attacked would be left desolate and devoid of life. More troops would arrive, they would start moving to assist allied forces on every front.

Before Allied airstrikes would commence another attack, all Allied combat units received a transmission from Gensokyo Command who informed them that the use of incendiary weapons is to be ceased immediately after they received messages from the more intelligent youkai that they decried the devastation of the forests and will decide to change sides if this continues. With RNWO forces coming in, 10 million combat troops, 300,000 combat aerospacecraft, and a number of warships were brought in to help shore up the fronts.

Allied forces soon captured the Youkai Forest node, with 15,000 soldiers dispatched to secure the Moriya Shrine.

Human Village, Road to Hakurei Shrine, Stairwell and Hakurei Shrine
The 4,000 Imperial Halberdiers kept in reserve responded to the Makai Corps' attacks on the fortifications around the Human Village. Allied soldiers present in the Human Village fired at the Makai Corps youkais who attacked their fortifications.

The 9,000 Imperial Halberdiers kept up, slowly pulling back just to reinforce the Allied forces, deal with the attacking Makai Corps that were shattering the fortifications, and then return to the offensive.

Near the Road to Prismriver Manor

The two continued duking it out, with Merlin and Lena receiving damages from each other. Already both would be at very low health. Only one may stand victorious, and the other would be heavily injured...before their duel got interrupted again.

The three Halberdiers approached the dueling two but stopped five meters away from them. "Is that why you're fighting for the Kovunanto, to become human once more?" The lead Halberdier asked. "Then you will need more than becoming human once more," he added, "you need allies who will reveal the truth. I promise you that the Crimson Sisterhood WILL pay for their crimes, but you will not be alone in that endeavor. After this battle, I want you and your comrades to meet us in the Garden of the Sun or the Human Village. The Shaded Knight will want to discuss with you post-battle."

The lead Halberdier then said, "'Why are you doing this', you may ask. Because I know that your vengeance against the vampires were strong, your convictions hold true. You sought to destroy the Crimson Sisterhood - just like how we sought to---" The lead Halberdier slips into a language that sounded far too alien, far too unintelligible, and far too ominous. "You will be the vengeance of humanity upon the Crimson Sisterhood! You and your allies will be the instruments of the vampires' doom and the harbingers of humanity! AND THE CRIMSON SISTERHOOD SHALL FALL!"

While Lena could agree to the three Imperial Halberdiers' sentiments, she can't help but wonder why these three were filled with so much vitriol, so much hatred and such.

As Lena has just taken enough damage that her first health stack disappears, she's still kicking, but now down to two health stacks left. As she regains her composure for a moment and taking a few tense breaths, she speaks again, albeit disturbed from being too close.

Lena Vitelli: "I have MORE than plenty of friends with me near and far already, and I DON'T NEED MORE INTERFERING! A true warrior never interrupts a fight!"

She then switches back to Italian and faces her nemesis once more. She ignores the soldier, not wishing to be defected.

Phase 2 of 4 of the duel begins. She reacts faster now, she can back flip, somersault, as well as other acrobatic moves using the surrounding environment. Now every swing she does that doesn't involve throws and grappling will release a 180-degree hemonantic wave, that if hit will transfuse a lot of health lost back to her and even restore a lost health stack, it even applies while hanging onto any branch as she can use one hand to swing her sword. A successful parry will send the opponent flying backwards a few meters, and if she does a successful guard break attack, it will stun the opponent with rosy petals flying until it falls to the ground.

Getting to the next phase of this epic duel means the depletion of the second health stack of three is needed. She won't go down this easy now.

The fires are spreading uncontained through the forest from multiple origins, it even starts to damage the very node that was just secured by the humans. It's only a matter of time before the fires will jump near the Misty Lake, an area that is already from the start under Kovunanto territory from the east. No one was even there apart from a few native youkai that likes being underwater and around it. It tends to freeze during the colder months, but since it is summer, the lake is at its shallow depth from the hot days until the most recent storm that just went over it in the past two hours. With no fire department in Gensokyo, any big fires like this will eventually create its own weather that is familiar to the humans' experience in dealing with big fires.

Near Road to Prismriver Manor

The lead Halberdier opened his mouth to say something, but one of his two escort Halberdiers notified him of the burning Youkai Forest. Not pleased with the Youkai Forest being burned down, he interrupted the fight between Lena and Merlin. "Give me a moment," said the lead Halberdier before pulling out an artifact that, to Lena, doesn't resemble one of the relics the Kovunanto recovered back post-Heavenpolis. With it, the artifact fired a beam into the skies, which produced cloud formations that saw heavy rain to fall onto the Youkai Forest. The resulting heavy rainfall saw not only the fires being extinguished, but the Youkai Forest would quickly recover and regrow. The youkais will have seen what had happened, and now those who once resided in the Youkai Forest can move back into it; yet, the event would surprise them.

Once the deed is done, the lead Halberdier returned the artifact to his belt and said to the two, "Apologies, Merlin, Lena, but I am a plant person." Sounds like he loves trees to begin with. "And don't even think of stealing this artifact I purchased from the Indepol Group; I'm using this artifact to grow trees, dammit!" And when she said in Italian, the lead Halberdier replied, "I'm fully aware how vengeful you really are, but I am more vengeful towards all the Heart-Holders."

"Heart-Holders? What is he talking about?" is what Merlin and Lena asked themselves before they continued fighting.

Throughout Gensokyo-WORLD

Allied forces began swelling in numbers slowly. 20,000 soldiers were sent to help take over the Moriya Shrine. At least 15,000 soldiers helped capture Komachi's Ferry, Road of Liminality, Higan and Hakugyukurou Manor, the latter of which is held by Delegation Minoris who were hiding out there but never bothered to capture its node.

To help protect Komachi's Ferry, Higan and Hakugyukurou Manor, 30,000 combat troops were deployed, divided into two groups: Armand Group and Sacrosanctus Group. Armand Group is stationed on the left bank of the Sanzu River and the Sacrosanctus Group is stationed on the right bank of the Sanzu River. Backed by armored combat vehicles, air support and three Titan combat walkers (for Armand Group) and elite combat rangers, people sniffers (the more advanced ones) and commandos (for Sacrosanctus Group), Armand Group and Sacrosanctus Group made their way up the river. They have to be wary of any ambushes, however. Along the way they captured any nodes on their northward advance up the Sanzo River.

Meanwhile, 30,000 combat troops were sent alongside ten Titan combat walkers, armored combat vehicles and combat air support and captured the nodes at the Garden of the Sun, the Road of Reconsideration and Muendzuka to help reinforce Allied forces already present there.

An additional 15,000 soldiers arrived at the Youkai Forest and Moriya Shrine and captured the nodes.

The 9,000 Imperial Halberdiers fighting the Makai Corps then went on the offensive again, with the centermost group spearheading the offensive. With help from eighteen Titan combat walkers, hundreds of armored combat vehicles, mechanized and motorized infantry, air force ground forces and special forces and combat air support, they will drive back the Makai Corps. 5 million Allied soldiers were committed to the battle for Hakurei Shrine.

Unfortunately for the three stooges, they made the most simple error upon arriving at Japan: not only did they arrive there at the right place but they arrived there AT THE WRONG TIME, because they would encounter soldiers of the NSC Armed Forces and personnel of the Japanese National Security Forces (aka Japanese National Defense and Security Forces) patrolling the streets and even the fucking alleyways. Even worse, some security forces soldiers involved themselves in fortifying Japanese buildings against Kovunanto attacks. Even more worse is that only sixty seconds after Hecatia, Joon and Shion did they encounter their Earthborn Gensokyoite counterparts Hecatia, Joon and Shion, who were sent on orders of Earthborn Gensokyo's Tenmu on the request of the Triumvirate Sol Military Command, which sought to ask the Earthborn Gensokyoites.

A confrontation between the Kovunanto Gensokyoite Stooges and the Earthborn Gensokyoite Stooges! As is customary Gensokyoite law, Hecatia starts the pre-battle dialogue:

In case someone is stupid enough to bypass even the toughest of security measures in its space borders, since Gensokyo sits right in the middle between UNSC and Kovunanto space borders, it can get potentially messy if the Kovunanto Empire begins to get KBN chatter from other frequencies than the ones they're already familiar with for a very long time.

Suspecting a possible breach unlike a routine space border breach, anti-Pandemonium techs are now in place, as they finally researched it and get it to work on all their species' homeworlds, since they count as Otherworlds.

ANd so, Earthborn Tenmu, Hecatia, Shion and Joon proceeded to battle the Kovunanto Gensokyoite Stooges. If the three Earthborn Gensokyoite Stooges were the ones the three Kovunanto Gensokyoite Stooges can fight, both sides were equally matched. But with Earthborn Tenmu in the fight, the tables would turn against the three Kovunanto Gensokyoite Stooges. She does NOT like her three stooges getting scared off.

And with Earthborn Tenmu now present, the three Kovunanto Gensokyoite Stooges no longer have the opportunity to kill EVERY POLITICIANS, because powerful anti-portal generators and artifacts were set up around the world to prevent any and all enemies, especially the three Kovunanto Gensokyoite Stooges from ever appearing on the world or even escaping. It is gonna be a 3-hour battle alright, and unfortunately the decoy Kovunanto Hecatia will be eliminated, but fortunately the two Kovunanto Stooges would get captured by the four Earthborn Gensokyoites. The four would made sure to hurt the two by showing the renewed pact between humanity and youkais in Earthborn Gensokyo before imprisoning the Kovunanto Gensokyoites underneath the Earthborn Scarlet Devil Mansion.

The Allied Forces soon began pushing the Kovunanto and their allies back to their protected nods. Bigger Titan combat walkers would help dominate the battles on the ground, while additional combat air units were deployed to shatter Kovunanto and their allied air powers. Already they captured the nodes at the waterfall area, the Garden of the Sun, Muendzuka, Moriya Shrine, Moriya, Youkai Forest, and the Road of Reconsideration.

Just as the moment the battle is within humanity's favor by having 80% of the entire map and the intelligent youkai are either in Myouren Temple or Youkai Mountain, the only two safest places from the might of the Novayans steamrolling through Kovunanto flanks, but somehow went around the CCETF party unscathed, the CCETF silently prayed for Lena to do something about it, as she is a vampire, and her black-and-red sword has enough bloodstains from repeated hits against Merlin Vunzontevo dripping onto the grass. Somehow, those silent prayers are answered when night is dark enough that even the duo can't see well, except for the rise of a full moon yet again, and still the Strawberry Supermoon.

As the Strawberry Supermoon has just popped out of the horizon, is the moment Lena suddenly found herself badly bloodied and her old school dress covered in stains. Her weapon is also stained too, but it has gained enough power for a ritual. She temporarily stops the duel herself, steps back a bit, gets into the meditating position but still standing, closing her dark blue eyes and points her black-and-red sword vertically into the sky.

Her motherly language is switched to Latin, and attempts to recite the blood moon ritual starting from faint, but gets louder, repeating it until her weapon eventually starts to glow a bright red. Everyone in the local vicinity is in shock, as the ritual invokes the moon to turn red at her command. During this invoking, her name's font color is treated as though she's angry.

Some nearby youkai trying to get back to the Youkai Forest are ensorcelled at Lena's invocation words and joins in, reciting in the original Cantonese to speed up the process.

And then, the Strawberry Supermoon and the entire battle map is now a deep shade of red. Lena's eyes when she opens up turns red, the Blood Moon blesses her with temporal extra damage to her weapon, almost nigh-invulnerable damage resistance, hypersonic speed and reaction times, and unlimited sight range on the ground, with also applies to all Kovunanto-affiliated youkai within the battle map, as well as turning their eyes a demonic red.

All standard youkai now respawn from the ground as well as from Muenzuka at a crazily fast rate, wherever the humans on the ground are no matter what. Makai demons start coming out of Makai already frenzied by the ritual, and will overwhelm the human forces with all these temporal effects until 05:00 hours, and then they'll return to their normal behavior.

During this time, all human-controlled territorial outlines will be marked red to know that they are now hunted by the youkai due to the forced Blood Moon ritual, and all human-controlled nodes are now temporarily unshielded and have a temporal red line even if the Kovunanto hasn't gotten to the farthest nodes yet. With this in mind, it is now temporarily possible for a comeback counter assault.. The Makai Corps down to about 7 million that were struggling to deal with the human forces also received these bonuses too, and will now fight back and forcing a very long stalemate with frenzied youkai now surrounding them and overwhelming them. This means that the God of Makai suddenly generated millions more Makai Soldiers to come out of Makai and assist in holding the line on the stairwell. Holy and fire attacks can still hurt and kill them, though, but every other element and normal attacks temporarily won't work until 05:00 hours.

Lena's transfusion enchantment from her weapon is now doubled, so this means she will now do twice as much damage. She is now hypersonic fast and reactive, and that she can rush to her opponent in under a quarter of a second and back away if needed in under a quarter of a second. This is Phase 3 of 4. Anyone else that gets too close to her, she will pose an extremely lethal threat and is temporarily almost nigh-invulnerable until daybreak.

Her whole health bar and her only health stack is now a bright purple outline to know that she's almost impervious to all except holy and fire attacks, but all other elements, including regular attacks do nothing.

Until 05:00 hours, all standard youkai and newly generated standard youkai, all Kovunanto-affiliated youkai within Gensokyo, all Makai Corps soldiers, all Makai demons, and Lena herself will be in a almost nigh-invulnerable state to force a stalemate because every single Novayan unit sent to attack and defend their territories they're trying to fight just feels unstoppable, and will have no choice but to force a stalemate.

The effects doesn't seem to apply to gods, human-affiliated youkai, and the three stooges, though.

Hecatia Lapislazuli: "I'LL HAVE YOU BLOWN UP, CUT UP, SHOT UP, AND BE THE ONE TO TORTURE YOU SO BADLY, YOU COULD'VE WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN! YOUR GOVERNMENT IS TOO CORRUPT! And before she would say anything, Tenmu then said, "Someone else is here to talk to you - and he is not something even you do not want to mess with." After saying that, entering the area was a soldier dressed in a sleeved and hooded cloak, but the mask fully covered the individual's face. The hooded coat-cloak appear to be black but...something is wrong with that attire, as if it consumed light that was shone upon it. Even with a powerful light source, no light reflected from it - as if something worse had come.

Tenmu stepped aside for the unknown soldier to plant his left hand on Hecatia. Only when that did she felt a pain unparalleled and unlike anything before. It's as if EVERYTHING about her is being sucked in despite her looking fine. It lasted only for a few seconds, but the pain she experienced was unlike ANYTHING she had ever experienced before. Tenmu looked to the unknown soldier. The last thing Hecatia ever remembered was the unknown soldier opening his hand that unleashed a spell which sent her back to sleep.

Near the Youkai Mountain, Gensokyo-WORLD
13 minutes after Lena's forcing of the Blood Moon

Kovunanto Gensokyoite Hecatia would wake up just north of the Youkai Mountain. She remembered what had happened, but she can't remember her capture by the four Earthborn Gensokyoites and the events after capture and before waking up back at Gensokyo. But when she tries to remember what had happened between getting captured and waking up back at Gensokyo-WORLD, all she can remember is Earthborn Gensokyoite Tenmu whispering to her: "You are wrong, Hecatia. You have been fighting on the wrong side of history; we have adapted after the events of Operation Sovereign Justice and the Godom War, of which is part of the three-month One Sith War. Now, I will ask you this: on which side do you fight for?"

Also, Kovunanto Gensokyoite Hecatia can feel pain throughout her body despite feeling fine. Was it the result of her being beaten by her enemies?

Throughout Gensokyo, the Allied Forces would find themselves being pushed back and even gotten heavy casualties in what was called the Pushback. In the Kovunanto and their allies' mad rush, the Pushback caused heavy casualties among Allied combat ground and air units. Fortunately, the Allied Forces avoided burning down the forests as ordered by Lord Admiral Borealis I and his officers. But somehow, the Kovunanto inadvertently caused a fire in the forests around the Youkai Mountain; it is unclear whether it is during the Blood Moon that any Kovunanto combat vehicles and aerospacecraft were responsible for the fire, or the result of a collision involving Allied and Kovunanto combat aerospacecraft, with the detonation of such combat aerospacecraft's weapons, munitions and fuels creating a fireball causing the fire.

Regardless of the circumstances, the Allied Forces were pushed back: the Armand Group and the Sacrosanctus Groups were pushed back to the southern Sanzo River; the Moriya Shrine (guarded by the 1,500 Imperial Halberdiers) was nearly cut off, with only two narrow areas held by at least 23,000 soldiers, the narrow path leading southeast into the Youkai Forest and the second leading east towards the Garden of the Sun; 65,000 Allied combat ground troops regrouped at the Garden of the Sun and the eastern section of the Road of Reconsideration; and half of the Youkai Forest had been divided into two zones, one controlled by the Allied Forces and the other controlled by the Kovunanto and their allies. Only the 9,000 Imperial Halberdiers held their positions, but only after being pushed 20 meters back, before the nine Imperial Halberdier groups were each reinforced by 3,000 Assault Knights and 1,000 Palatine Knights.

The Kovunanto was able to not just force a stalemate but also force the Allied Forces back. The Kovunanto would also discover that [color=#FF8000]the reason the Allied soldiers were invincible is due to the power armors and weapons they use[/color] - those were the reasons for the Allied soldier to be quite invincible. The Kovunanto and their allies also discovered that there were two kinds of power armor: one of regular infantrymen and one for the various order knights. The combat power armor used by regular infantrymen were durable and flexible and is still light or moderate in weight, while those used by order knights were quite bulky and stronger. The Kovunanto will need to step up its game, however.

Because of the Pushback, both sides were utterly exhausted to the point they need to rebuild, rearm, resupply, reorganize and reinforce. Already supplies, reinforcements and equipment were being poured in to rebuild, rearm, resupply, reorganize, reinforce and refuel the Allied Forces. Near the eastern Road of Reconsideration, three combined arms divisions (consisting of mechanized and motorized infantry, armored transport vehicles and tanks) as well as 400 combat aerospacecraft were allocated for the armored/mechanized spearhead west once daybreak comes.

Fortunately, Merlin Vunzontevo is equipped with the Sword of Justice, a holy artifact built by followers of the god of justice Palnaemos and the eldritch god of justice Zalnastius, and the Armor of Righteous Justice and the Shield of Hope can provide protection from unholy attacks. Other elements such as regular attacks do still damage to Merlin, though.

One hour since the forced blood moon, already a third of the map is back in Kovunanto hands, the third wave of 10 million is sent from the portal techs at their main base, with additional provisions, energy-powered weapons, ground vehicles, as well as more Banshees in the air, and Phantoms deploying in the troops. The battle exhaustion has dropped from 100% to 50%, but this is simply a temporary band-aid to the ongoing battle.

The CCETF party is already ascending towards the Hakugyokurou Manor through the long stairs, fighting their way up in a two-column tight formation. Zealot St Luci 'Demacee however long before they even captured the Higan and Komachi's Ferry nodes is still concerned for Lena's safety, and decides to search for her. Along the way, he spots Rumia, who is willing to help him find her. She just so happens to have recklessly crashed into a small tree.

Rumia: "Hey, can you help?"

The Grand Master is able to help, as Rumia is indeed a youkai.

Zealot St Luci 'Demacee: *alien tongue* "I am one of the Zealots, and you are to help me through the darkness of the wilderness to find my Lena. She's in big trouble, I can't let her die."

Day 2: 23:00 hours Gensokyo time

The duel is at a stalemate, but Lena starts to hear her Grand Master Lucian's yells from afar as the night progresses. He's several kilometers away, though. A small bit of relief is on her breath that her savior is finally coming. If he's encountered on the way, he will be the toughest Grand Master out of the four anyone has ever faced, and far superior to Lena's, because if he starts combat with anyone on the way to Lena, it will be their worst nightmare on par with the Dread Hunter in every way, artifacts included too that can assist him only when things are too desperate. Unlike Lena, he does holy damage with his own weapon, he is just as durable and magical as her, can siphon off an enemy's mana supply, can read even the unrecognizable tongues into English, but will take 2x damage only from darkness. He is aware of what Rumia is capable of, but Rumia will be his youkai sidekick and sides with the Kovunanto. Every hit he takes, he will feel it, because his Zodiac sign is the Crab.

Day 2: 23:00 hours Gensokyo time

Having awakened from the dream state, her blue-haired decoy of herself is killed, and now all she does is to return to the interior of the mountain from the north side, which will be a couple hours' walk. On her trek there, the burning question is seared into her brain. All she can faintly whisper is this:

Hecatia Lapislazuli: *whisper* "I am seeking freedom from the clutches of man. Don't try to stop me."

Gensokyo, Scarlet Mansion
Day 3: 00:00 hours Gensokyo time

The Scarlets that survived the last major conflict aren't as bloodthirsty as they used to be, but now with the renewed tensions reaching to their gate, the Meilings got their note from Tenmu, and the Kovunanto and allies are now allowed in. While the center node can be captured, they still need the one special node from further east, Tougenkyou, before the Scarlets grant them permission to raise the platform from the inaccessible basement level. They are the most powerful youkai than anyone else here in Gensokyo, even more powerful than all of humanity since the last encounter. Back then, the Lucian Empire subjugated them in 2223, and they had to agree to their every whim, and will resolve the incidents for them, when needed. Because of their past relations with the Lucian Empire in good standing before they fell was the reason they now allow the Kovunanto Empire and allies in so easily.

With the center node now in Kovunanto hands, it will be easier now for the Kovunanto to start getting closer to Prismriver Manor, the Youkai Forest, and if necessary, help the youkai defending themselves over at Myouren Temple to the north.

At this time, the Kovunanto side has also taken the Road of Liminality, Road of Consideration, Muenzuka, and with the forced blood moon's effects, driven the eastern road's forces down into the northern edge of Alice's domain, where Alice Margatroid's own doll forces and her sidekick doll Maybell, who can hear and speak to inanimate objects, like dolls, as a support unit, and she is one loud-mouth doll to deal with, but other than that, she doesn't seem to be much of a use to Alice other than her ability to speak to her doll friends and Alice. The doll forces are estimated to be about no more than 100,000, only armed with oversized lances beyond their tiny size, nothing much else, and indistinguishable in appearance.

The Allied Forces were eventually able to force a stalemate through repeated artillery bombardment and airstrikes against Kovunanto forces on the open fields, repeatedly sending Assault Knights and Palatine Knights to reinforce Allied troops fighting in the forests, and mechanized and armored rapid response units heading over to stop the Kovunanto's advance that pushed Allied combat troops back to the eastern Road of Reconsideration; the use of artillery and airstrikes on Muendzuka is not allowed, however, as doing so would disrespect the deceased.. Armand and Sacrosanctus Groups were eventually reinforced by the much larger Daladier Group, consisting of mechanized and motorized combat units as well combat air support and a number of riverine boats that have lots of turrets to use.

Millions of combat troops, hundreds of thousands of combat vehicles, and hundreds of thousands of combat aerospacecraft were poured in to reinforce the Allied frontlines and keep the enemy at bay, long enough for the Blood Moon to end; once that is over, Allied combat forces were resupplied, reorganized, rearmed, refueled, and reinforced. Allied troops at the Garden of the Sun were rapidly reinforced by various order knights, sending the 11,000-strong combat force up to a whopping 30,500-strong combat force, which would eventually split off into three groups: Moriya Shrine Battlegroup, tasked with attacking Kovunanto forces assailing the Moriya Shrine and the 1,500 Imperial Halberdiers and the Dread Hunter; Graveyard Road Battlegroup, tasked with attacking Kovunanto forces that captured the nodes at the Road of Reconsideration and Muendzuka; and Sun Garden Battlegroup, tasked with defending the Garden of the Sun.

The battle for the Road of Liminality is on. Artillery strikes and airstrikes kept the enemy pinned down while numerous armored/mechanized spearhead assault were launched: one from Prismriver Manor, one from the east of the Road of Liminality, one from the southeastern direction of the Nameless Hill, and one from just south of Komachi's River, where the Sacrosanctus Group and the eastern half of the Daladier Battlegroup is located at. Two more spearheads were launched to take back Komachi's Ferry, while the western half of the Daladier Battlegroup and the Armand Group would commence an attack on the CCETF assailing the Hakugyukurou Manor, just to cut them from the rest of the Kovunanto forces, and also retake Higan. Combat reinforcements were rushed into reinforce Armand, Daladier and Sacrosanctus Battlegroups.

At Hakugyukurou Manor, Allied soldiers who were holed up engaged the CCETF to stall the enemy, long enough for reinforcements to arrive, even though the Allied soldiers were being forced back up the stairs to the manor and slowly lost a number of soldiers. And when reinforcements finally, they came from several portals, and these were knights from the Order of the Vanquisher. The 100 Vanquisher Order knights soon began assailing the CCETF, stalling them long enough for Armand Group and the western half of the Daladier Battlegroup to relieve them. They will stall the enemy until the Blood Moon is no longer in effect.

When the Lord Admiral learned of the Scarlet Devil Mansion aligning itself with the Kovunanto Empire, orders were dispatched to form a few battlegroups tasked with assailing the Scarlet Devil Mansion: Southern Exorcist Battlegroup, tasked with assailing the main gate; Eastern Exorcist Battlegroup, tasked with assailing the Scarlet Devil Mansion from the Allied-controlled section of the Youkai Forest; and Waterborne Exorcist Battlegroup, tasked with attacking the Scarlet Devil Mansion from the river. On the Lord Admiral's orders, the assault on the Scarlet Devil Mansion is to happen ONCE Allied Forces retook Higan, Komachi's Ferry and the Road of Liminality were recaptured.

By the time the Blood Moon is over, the Allied Forces suffered severely heavy casualties, which had to be offset by constant reinforcement and supply rushes.

Once St Luci arrived, Merlin said to him, "You're one of those aliens that attacked Heavenpolis." Dialogue between Merlin and the lead Imperial Halberdier and St Luci begins.

Our invasion of Ursus had shattered its national and imperialistic pride and destroyed the very institutions that propagated the Ursusians' hatred for the Infected. Not even the Ursusian Imperial Army can stop the invasion; they utilized Originium Caster staves and modernized medieval weapons to fight us, while we have combat aerospacecraft, infantry weapons and combat vehicles that ultimately shattered Ursus. Ursus' swords, shields, bows and arrows, crossbows, Originium Caster staves and mortars have met and fell before our bombs, missiles, rockets, grenades, energy projectiles/bolts, bullets and shells.
"Needless to say, our invasion and occupation and the fall of Ursus sent shockwaves throughout Terranian civilizations. Leithanien, Victoria, Yan, Columbia, Kazimierz, Rim Billiton, Laterano, Iberia, Syracusa, Higashi and Kazdel - which fell under the Military Commission of Kazdel and the Regent Theresis and is currently being rebuilt - were shocked at how fast the Triumvirate and its allies conquered Ursus, in just a matter of a few days. A number of Terranian states sent spies and agents to infiltrate, gather information, and destabilize the Triumvirate's military occupation. The result? Their agents and spies were either killed or captured and interrogated because none of them didn't think that the Triumvirate occupational forces consisted mostly of humanoids, the majority of which were humans. Columbia, Leithanian, Victoria, and Yan were ratted out by their own captured-and-interrogated agents and spies. Thanks to that, the Triumvirate's ire is directed at those four nations, forcing them to ask the UN to let them join. Their plans to join out of not wanting to be invaded by the Triumvirate is still under discussions, though.
The Kazdel Military Commission, Laterano and Kazimierz were the only ones to not send their own after knowing full well the differences in technology between Terra, Earth, Aeras and the Triumvirate. Even if they did, their agents must only ask the occupation authorities themselves and their spies take a look at what the occupation looked like. Nevertheless, all three were smart enough not to piss off the Triumvirate."

He added, "Oh, and before you say anything, we only use flamethrowers to burn down fortresses the Ursusian Army have used. Acts of vengeance perpetrated and war crimes by Triumvirate soldiers were severely punished. When the Imperial government ultimately surrendered alongside those who follow the Emperor, the Emperor and his advisors, generals and ministers presented themselves to sign the Ursusian Instrument of Surrender that was televised across all of the Sol Trinary System. The Ursusians thought they would be punished, enslaved or even exterminated due to their crimes against all life. However, what the Ursusians expected from us is the complete opposite: we invaded only out of a moralistic mission, and instead of us enslaving or killing them we acted with mercy and restraint.
"In reading the terms of their nation's surrender, the Ursusians were humbled further. Acts of vengeance will not happen, and the Empire of Ursus will be rebuilt, reformed and allowed to grow out of its imperialistic mindset and come out as a state free from the stains of its darkest history. Canary would be watching the ordeal unfold from a drone that he snuck onto a Kovunanto ship. He also gathered some information on the man called the "Dread Hunter" deeming him to be a middle to low-high class fighter by New Zoigai's standards. Hiring him for future missions was not totally off of the table.

However, he realized that the Kovunanto were somewhat outmatched in this fight. Seeing as the UNSC had brought their super fighters to the fray, whislit the Kovunanto had only brought diplomats and low-mid level fighters. This somewhat annoyed Canary, as he was expecting his ally to have the relic they were after within 4 days.

His opinion on the Kovunanto military dropped steeply, from being a capable invading force, to a mediocre barbarian horde. He began talking to his subordianates on tightening regulations on Kovunanto trade, and moving some of the merchants to the rumored 'Sol-Trinary System" as he belived they had much better markets. He had already sent some low profile merchants there. From the stories they told a buissness veture there would generate 4 times the amount of wealth that the Kovunanto had brought New Zoigai.

Adam Gregory took this into consideration, and had begun allowing merchants ( with sturdy ships) to make the journey. Telling them to have their defense canons hidden until they were actually needed. Some of the commerce profits were going to be used to better the army if this claim were to be true, and it was possible that wealth would trickle down to the poor.

A military plan for a possible heist of the Holy relics was also put into consideration, although no real attempts were made. Mostly because many military leaders and citizens were not made aware on the insults delivered by High Preists of the Kovunanto nation. But also because some important merchants had began creating ties with certian Kovunanto companies.

Day 3: 02:00 hours Gensokyo time

The fighting ended in a draw right as Zealot St Luci 'Demacee, the Will of the Prophets, and Rumia shows up. St Luci has little time for talk with Merlin, as well as to Lena, scolding her for not being with him, and even more so when he sees her not in her alien uniform by the shade. He will however let her get her alien gear back on as well as the teleportation device, even though it's useless. Lena grabs back the teleportation device, then puts into her favorite spot on her waist, then puts back on her Sangheili gear, which should be long dry by now, and then her alien helmet, and reunite with him.

Zealot St Luci 'Demacee: "Indeed we did, but we also killed Satan together to stop the hellspawn from ruining the planet and our plans. Our plans is far more than just conquering and killing, we are attempting to achieve the highest point of our divine path, the ultimate salvation, like our ancestors had done. And you, unworthy of your role, will not get to the Divine Beyond."

He then scolds Lena for leaving him and his group behind.

Zealot St Luci 'Demacee: "And you! You should've stayed with me and the group above all else! One more time, and I'll end you. And you should be fighting with your true spirit, too, not as a human! Now, come with me and get your stuff. Rumia. Deal with them, amuse yourself."

Rumia will comply, but will make sure that the two leave the wilderness before she starts fighting.

Rumia: "You're gonna have a whole lot of spookiness fun with me, and I'm gonna CHOMP CHOMP on you! Embrace the darkness, embrace the shadows!"

Rumia then begins to engage with the soldiers and an exhausted Merlin once the two confirmed having left safely back in their Sangheili forms and starts by enshrouding the wilderness around her current position in total darkness, according to her main ability. Due to the forced blood moon still in effect, her battle theme is also altered to match it, too.

Day 3: 05:00 hours Gensokyo time

The forced blood moon has ended, the sky is returning to normal and standard youkai, as well as all Kovunanto-affiliated youkai, the Makai demons, the Makai Corps, and Lena no longer receive the benefits of the ritual, and is returning to normal behavior. Any human nodes that were unshielded and not connected by Kovunanto-controlled nodes now have their shields back. All human-territorial outlines return to its normal color. The moon is already below the horizon, and the sun is beginning to come up, a hot day is coming, and since Lena is already in her alien gear, she won't roast to death. The two of them will now need to get past the Sanzu River and back to St Ramo 'Savumee and the rest of the group, which will be two hours.

Additional Allied reinforcements and supplies reached the badly-battered Allied combat units. Reorganization, resupply, rearming, refueling and reinforcement helped prepare Allied troops for the greatest battle ahead. Supplies provided helped reduce fatigue down to 50%. Plans were drawn up to capture every main nodes, but first 1,000,000 combat troops were sent to protect the Human Village node. The 45,000 Imperial Halberdiers who went on the offensive were pissed off that the Scarlet Devil Mansion had allied with the Kovunanto, which immediately led to them directing their rage at the Makai Corps, the Imperial Halberdiers' attack speed and damage increases by 25% which would result in horrifying casualties inflicted upon the Makai demons.

Now reinforced, Allied combat forces at the Garden of the Sun, eastern section of the Road of Reconsideration, Staging Point Velder, the Human Village, and south of Higan and Komachi's Ferry launched a massive offensive to retake all nodes taken by the Kovunanto back in the Pushback. 300,000 Allied troops assaulted the Youkai Forest and captured its node. Armand Group and Daladier Battlegroup's western half continued assailing the CCETF that were attacking the Hakugyukurou Manor, whose node was held by the Delegation Minoris, 100 order knights and Allied combat troops. Sancrosanctus Group and the eastern half of Daladier Battlegroup soon launched an attack up the Sanzo River to cut the Kovunanto forces off.

The armored spearheads from Prismriver Manor, Human Village and Nameless Hill have shattered the Kovunanto forces at the Road of Liminality and captured its node. At the same time, elements of Daladier Battlegroup also captured the node at Komachi's Ferry. 70,000 combat troops assailed and captured the Youkai Forest and its node. The 20,000 troops - 10,000 from the Garden of the Sun and 10,000 from the eastern section of the Road of Reconsideration - attacked and captured the Road of Reconsideration and its node, and a detachment of at least 2,000 soldiers entered Muendzuka and captured its node.

At the Garden of the Sun, 10,000 combat soldiers assailed Kovunanto ground forces besieging the Moriya Shrine controlled by the 1,500 Imperial Halberdiers and the Dread Hunter, who have racked so much kills during the Pushback. They looked like they wen through hell and back, but otherwise they looked fine - even with the alien blood and viscera all over.

Lastly the three Exorcist Battlegroups (total combined troop numbers were 15,000), which had to be reinforced, launched an assault on the Scarlet Devil Mansion. Combat air support will make sure to overwhelm the Meilings and anyone else who aligned themselves with the Kovunanto.

But today a new strategy was implemented after Allied intelligence confirmed a number of individuals not of the Kovunanto nor Gensokyo-WORLD yet aligned with the Kovunanto as well as thaumaturges reporting a spike in anomalous activity, one that can be found at the Kovunanto's main base of operations; this anomalous activity was confirmed to be a ritual for a second reality reconfiguration of the galactic reality. The new strategy was complex: the elimination of any and all Grand Servants and Masters as well as thirteen members of the Zodiac Order, an organization the Novayan Allied Forces had designated as Aether. The strategy also included the elimination of all Kovunanto-aligned youkais.

With this strategy, Allied combat forces soon engaged Kovunanto forces with sheer determination and desperate ferocity to kill any and all Grand Servants and Masters, the 13 members of the Zodiac Order, and the Kovunanto-aligned youkais. The strategy also dictated that youkai dissenters were to be protected AT ALL COST, even with the lives of Allied soldiers.

"You're going to regret this fighting me," snarled the lead Imperial Halberdier, who immediately took Merlin's place as the opponent for Rumia. "Not only that, you didn't think that we Imperial Halberdiers have the darkness as our ally." And with that word, the lead Imperial Halberdier proceeded to fight Rumia. "After all, miss," he continued, "the Allied Forces you and your comrades fought were the ones you'll have to consider 'human' - we are no longer and have abandoned our humanity in the distant past, not even the darkness you have won't stop me." The lead Imperial Halberdier fought Rumia with a ferocity unlike anything she had seen.

Gensokyo
Day 3: 07:00 hours Gensokyo time

Facing near defeat territorial-wise, the fourth wave will now consist of their own counter force, albeit much, much smaller to combat the near nigh-invulnerable power-armored marines of the human forces with their own. Specially designed Kovunanto energy-powered armor although ancient in its workings, yet nonetheless super-efficient made out of only one material that equally rivals the Novayan's own. The one material that was perfect for the fallen Lucian Empire during its late years before it fell, and after some brutal testing runs back in home territory before being able to put it on the very best soldiers, albeit it won't be standard for the Kovunanto Empire until years later down the line due to its expensive price tag. The fourth wave is actually gonna be much, much smaller than normally anticipated, because the fourth wave equals death in Asian numerology, and they will bring so much intimidation into the human forces than even the Makai Corps would otherwise provide.

At this time, one hour and fifteen minutes since the RNWO's departure from the battle, air superiority in the atmosphere is neutral.

Enter the Kovunanto Space Extermination Force.

A force of just no more than 500 of the very best Sangheili, a strike force that will help St Lucian and other translators to translate whatever works that humanity and other species had since the last firing and indexing around a hundred millennia ago, they are more meant for the study of the artifacts, but if needed, they will punish the strongest of the Novayans, even the Dread Hunter because of their own power armor. However, these 500 are NOT the typical soldiers the human forces had ever encountered. No, these 500 KSEF Sangheili while it may be outmatched in numbers, they can give the Novayan super-soldiers a run for their expensive wallets. The Kovunanto had been waiting for this, and now a possible second pushback, albeit much smaller, and will be escorted by their lowly standard counterparts from the third wave.

Even if the Kovunanto will lose a third of its territory to the humans, as long as their main base is still functional and can continue to field waves of the Kovunanto when their numbers gets too low, it should hold humanity back long enough for the Kovunanto's Grand Masters and Grand Servants to finish their main objectives. While the youkai from the nearby Youkai Mountain are told NOT to get too close to their main base to defend it, they will definitely hold their own within the mountain. Strangely, the mountain didn't erupt, because Suwako Moriya was killed in action. In Myouren Temple node, all the youkai that were native to this temple, and the ones that fled to it will now stand and fight, because they had no choice.

The Sanzu River on both sections is still technically under Kovunanto control, as well as the Animal Realm to the southwest of Misty Lake that borders it, which is yet to be fully explored by the humans, yet it has at certain points of the battle traversed by both sides.

At the same time, the one and only Grand Master and Grand Servant was able to make it back to St Ramona in time to rejoin, with St Ramo 'Savumee informing them that they can't hold on any longer to the stairwell and will be forced to work as a team, a big team like no other to defeat them all. The KSEF will arrive on a path of decimation with their new power armor with the third wave in about a day, and they will definitely create a second pushback attempt. 100 will be sent to the northern nodes, 100 to Youkai Mountain to shore up defenses now that Moriya Shrine is lost to the humans. 100 will be sent south, 100 to reach the mansion grounds, and 100 to help the Grand Masters and Grand Servants. These 500 aliens based off of the 500 Companions, are going to wreck the Novayan's offensive and defensive plans in Gensokyo.

The 21 legendary-tiered characters are now officially ready to have their own health bars starting to go down after being stuck on the stairwell for too long, but they won't go down easily, and they have their own strategies.

Gensokyo, Hakugyokurou Manor
Day 3: 07:15 hours Gensokyo time

They have no idea what the Zodiac Order is capable of, but one thing is for certain, the Zodiac Order fight like mean tanks with the guts to withstand even an entire interstellar nation's armies bearing down on them. Sure, they're vulnerable all right and can die, but what makes them so durable like the super soldiers? Their almost complete unwillingness to die for their devotion after Ramona Savu HELPED them back in the 2210s. And they have their own Zodiac Fragments, four of them, that will be used against the Novayans.

The four Zodiac Fragments was used in the Lucians-Chasers war that spanned from 2216-2223, the fire one was used once to bring down a dome-shaped fireball to destroy a fortified Chaser citadel during the final moments of the Battle of Thycia province, the longest battle in their people's history lasting as long as the war itself that took seven years with millions of Lucians lost. The earth one was used to send down a spike ball full of earth magic to bring down a Kraken. But since Gensokyo doesn't have seas, it would prove useless. The air fragment was used to save a burning forest in Deepwood, and the last one, a water fragment was used as an explosive charge to knock down a bridge that connected Marilla and Dycia provinces. However, Gensokyo doesn't seem to have bridges in the overworld, but there is one out somewhere that isn't in the overworld.

As of now, only two of the four fragments will be used should the Zodiac Order survive being held on to the stairwell and start pushing back, and due to its power, it can only be used once per day:

Now onto how this ultimate group fight is broken down, since the Novayans had no idea what they're fighting against:

Fighting against St Lucian even without his Grand Servant present is going to be suicidal, because he's not the one to fight cleanly and tends to not talk much, other than throwing demoralizing taunts from time to time relevant to the era he's in when in combat, is well-known to throw all sorts of dirty magical tricks, and is one uber-masochistic grandson of a man that likes being surrounded by his powerful female friends for team combos and support, and becomes more determined, aggressive and emotionally violent the less health and fewer allies he has. He's the toughest one out of all the Grand Masters, that not even Saber or Joanne d'Arc can beat him if paired against, even slightly tougher than the other Grand Masters equally. Because he has defeated Satan alongside Lena in recent memory back in SCP-1600, he has redeemed enough that he can't be soul trapped. As the ONLY translator out there that can decipher even the unrecognizable ones, the one that can dish out holy damage, as holy is his favorite element, yet will take 2x as much damage from darkness, he can even speak the Atsiyan tongue from Lucia, a tongue only spoken of by the nobility, and only to those willing to speak Atsiyan, a long-dead species that used to rule Lucia before even the first generation of Lucians was born, but that tongue will be incomprehensible towards normal folk and aliens alike.

The Novayans that watched the duel earlier already know what Lena is capable of, except for the final phase when she's down to no health stacks left, she will pull out an early-20th century steampunk gun specially made from the Milanese academy where she graduated from that can pierce through armor well ahead of its invention, and can still fight with her sword in her dominant hand. If her opponent's health is low enough at that phase, she will unleash a flourish move (a finisher) straight from Assassin's Creed, by leaping herself high into the air, a bird sound will occur for the opponent to get out of the way as it begins. Then she extends her dominant hand as she spins herself fast downward like a twister to charge up her weapon until it glows an orange-red, and at the last moment vertically slams the sword to the ground in front of the opponent (if not out of the way in time) with a 5-meter shockwave and very high unblockable damage.

Lena's health has been restored to full by her rapid nocturnal health regeneration due to her being an ancient vampire, but even in her Sangheili form, her blood may be boiling, but at least it doesn't seem to bother her at the least because she is in her alien form with the helmet on, including her health stacks. She cannot be soul trapped because of her virtue and faith at its highest.

As for the Zodiac Order, each of the thirteen as its own strengths and weaknesses, some of them are more versatile, some are just difficult to deal with individually, but they all have their own unique weaponry, skill sets, and phases, too. All 13 of them, including its founder, cannot be soul trapped.

Liang (Guardian of Aries): Fights with her long spear and likes to charge headlong heedlessly with the three elements from Hao, Feng, and Shui, which are fire, wind, and water, combined to make her spear dishing out a tremendous amount of elemental damage. Once her health is low (no health stacks), she will go berserk along with activating the Juggernaut card, which will allow her to do double damage and have twice its attack speed for 30 seconds. Her finisher move is the Great Wall of Meridia, in which she holds her stance, spins her spear as she moves forward, carving a zig-zag path dealing high-level physical damage that can be blocked on the first half of the move, until her weapon glows an orange-red, which is unblockable, and unleashes the spear’s front tip with a fire, water, and air breath simultaneously.

Hegerissa (Guardian of Taurus): Her Soulblade is unmatched in terms of damage potential, and likes to perform flourish moves without restriction regardless of an opponent’s health (even with armor). Her flourish move is a four-swing, four power-attack combo with each swing of this flourish move having pink slash lines, a Japanese kanji symbol, and cherry blossom petals that comes out of the kanji symbol (whether or not the opponent blocked it), that can be blocked only if the opponent has a weapon that is made of ebony material or better quality that must be blocked for the entire combo by looking straight at her and blocking it at the exact time. Failing to have a weapon made out of ebony or better that can block effectively with perfect timing, or not looking straight at her when she does the flourish move, or both, will result in lethal consequences for the poor sap.

St Ramona almost had it coming from her back when she first encountered her, but she was lucky to block this flourish move with the correct weapon back in 2218. She’s the descendant of Sakura the Kunoichi, who inherited her this exact weapon before her passing. She always attacks in four-swing patterns, because it represents death, and her sword will harvest the souls of the fallen she has killed to become stronger. At low health (at no health stacks left), she will use the fallen souls’ energy to unleash a very powerful version of the four-swing flourish move, by rushing in, then will do a right upward swing, left downward swing, another right-upward swing, and a horizontal left swing that glows orange-red per successful hit. After four successful hits, on the fifth and final hit is a vertical slam to complete the symbol, which represents a lightning bolt that deals very high earth damage.

Uyeno and Hatano (Twin Guardians of Gemini): Since they are twins, they fight together with equal skill and tends to dual-wield small pistols with exceptional quality, and they don’t have any additional phases. Their flourish move when their opponent’s health is low is a team combo, in which they stand back-to-back and unleash a barrage of bullets at full clip to fill their opponents in a 180-degree arc over 5 seconds, then whether or not they are successful, then they’ll reload.

Tamatsuki (Guardian of Cancer): As the adopted daughter of St Ramona, she is a yandere, and will protect St Ramona despite the fact she’s not a Grand Servant. The moment St Ramona is struck even once, no matter how much health is lost, she’ll instantly go berserk and will spawn crab swarms that will charge at their opponent by clawing and snipping. When she’s not in berserk mode, she will use her giant claws as a means to slice through even the toughest armors, including walkers. When she is down to no health stacks, she will have a flourish move that as their opponent’s health is low, she will grab the limping victim with one hand and drill her claw with the other hand straight into the heart until it stops beating. If the heart still beats somehow, she’ll then rip it out, and then crush it.

Kalindi (Guardian of Leo): She starts the fight with rallying her teammates with a war horn, which will increase morale, attack damage, and zeal of all nearby friendly units within a 5 km radius. She wields an oversized hammer, and her girth is capable of handling it. As a five-star general of the former Lucian Marine Corps, the kind of Marine Reserve for foreigners, she likes her team performing well and obeying her orders to the letter, and gets upset if her team performs sloppily. Her weapon is mighty enough it can destroy a tank in three solid hits, and her girth is what makes her very resilient. Her flourish move is that she prepares her massive weapon by charging forward along with her entire team with a rallying warcry, then all of her team will jump together for one ultimate charge that can break down even the toughest single enemy defense for massive AoE physical damage, which stacks with whatever elemental buffs they had prior to this flourish move. However, it only works once per day and in combat.

Tiffany (Guardian of Virgo): Don’t be confused by her name, she’s a Sylvian royal palace noble from Darlington with a posh British accent. She is very sturdy and very defensive with her claymore, and uses earth magic only as a last resort when her health is low. Her flourish move is a 135-degree sweep attack that can hit up to five opponents at once.

Leni (Guardian of Libra): She’s a magician with her oversized wand, and although she’s gotten older to the point of being a late teenager, her species is technically an Elin. Starting combat, she automatically summons a large troupe of her friends of various ages, usually around her age, but no older than her age from the aether, to fight alongside her to make things more difficult, but can be brought down. Shooting star pods will appear on the ground to know that they arrived at her position, up to about eleven of her friends to assist her, with their own health, mana, stamina, skill sets, and flourish moves. Her element is aether, which is pure energy.

Shandana (Guardian of Scorpio): This one’s packing heat with minigun rounds attached to her war scythe’s front end that can do serious hurt, but drains ammo rapidly. She can swing her scythe only if someone gets too close, but prefers to shoot first before melee. Her flourish move is the same as Zassalamel’s, by pinning the opponent in place, spinning the victim around with the war scythe 180 degrees, then before letting go of the victim, fires a few minigun bullets into its back for crippling.

Noya (Guardian of Sagittarius): As a dryad, she is 100% resistant to all magic elements, even the unspeakable ones, has ultravision, which allows her to see very far during the day as she would normally at night as a means to detect heat sources, can hide anywhere when it is night until something that can reveal her presence, or when she attacks. Her sword is used as a boomerang that is a crippling form of magic that slows them down to a snail’s pace for a few seconds and does a small amount of magical damage overtime that burns through their mana supply. However, her health and mana will only regenerate at a normal pace at night. She also has a bow too, and will use it to entangle enemies in roots that stops them completely, but can still attack, whilst the roots will eventually surround them, dealing earth damage until they cut off the main root at their feet, or they crumple and have the earthworms eat them.

Kamenashi (Guardian of Capricorn): This healer magical witch is a very versatile one, having a large variety of defensive wards, anti-undead spells to make them flee as well as burn, flesh spells to raise her magical defenses, and healing spells at her disposal with her oversized stave. She can even dispel or banish any form of darkness like St Ramona. What she can’t do however is revive, that falls under St Ramona’s. She can even fly around the battlefield by transforming her stave into a gigantic broom, and she’ll then use her hands instead to dual-wield cast her spells even while in flight.

Her flourish move is the same as the Priestess of the Moon’s ultimate, which is Starfall, but only works once per night regardless of weather conditions, and can only do so when not in flight mode and at full mana, because this flourish move once it ends will make her magically exhausted, but her dress gives her mana regeneration at the master level, so it won’t be much of an issue to her. When this flourish move begins, shooting stars from the skies will rain down with guaranteed success on all nearby enemies dealing very high unblockable magical damage on top of their heads as it explodes on impact, it even works on vehicles, but it won’t hit fully magically resistant enemies. It lasts until the song ends, and she sings too, so she has to remain still the whole time and keep her stave towards the sky to get the best results.

She will automatically heal herself or all her allies to full health the moment either she loses half of her health stacks or any of her allies fall below 50% health by dual-casting a Close Wounds healing spell for herself, a Grand healing spell for herself and allies, or an Ultimate-level healing potion for herself or give it to one of her allies, and can even do so while in flight, making her one of the toughest Zodiac Order members to defeat.

Darcie (Guardian of Aquarius): As the water-bearer, she casts wind magic from her third eye, the only special thing out of her is her tomboyish nature. Her flourish move when at low health is that she pulls out her water jug, jumps high into the air and slam dunk on her opponent full of boiling water.

Navya (Guardian of Pisces) : This peculiar Marillan noble likes to send down magical waves of water to dry drown her enemies, can manipulate the properties of acidity or akaline levels when casting a forced rainstorm over a localized area for up to 30 minutes, and even tear down fortifications with tidal walls, but only works near coastlines. She can even walk on water and turn into a shipgirl that fires water cannons to dispel fires on burning vessels, but that’s only a utility ability and not meant for combat. Her flourish move is a fishing net trap in which she plants it on the ground near her, then when enemies walk on it will ensnare them (no damage dealt), she then throws a bubble grenade that will surround the trap full of bubbles before exploding after a few seconds with magical damage.

As for the founder of the Zodiac Order, and the other Grand Masters and Grand Servants, they have their own feats, strengths, and weaknesses. They cannot be soul trapped.

Ramona: She’s the hero of Lucia, and the founder of the Zodiac Order, the strongest order in the galaxy meant to protect Lucia when things got too desperate. If all of her Zodiac Order members are killed but she is alive, she’ll immediately revive all of them after 14 seconds with a short ritual, but she will then have to wait 24 hours before doing it again. As long as she is living, not a single unit of the Kovunanto within the battle map, not even themselves can be corrupted and turned against each other due to her passive trait, which is yet to be discovered by the human forces. Thunder is her primary element, and if it rains hard enough that she can hear Raiko's taiko drums again loud and clear, she can dish out twice as much of that element's damage when their enemies are drenched.

Her ultimate weapon is an ancient jade-quality blade from Meridia province given to her by Liang for sealing the cursed temple that has the same elements as Liang's spear, having the elements of fire (which will block against water attacks), wind (which will block against earth attacks), and water. (which will block against fire attacks) She has worked so hard back in Carpathia and in Lucia to quell hostile monsters at her job day by day, night by night, that she can't be soul trapped. It's more useful for deflecting back these three types of attacks. Not forgetting that she's also the one that dispelled the void with her divine powers, she can dispel the darkness much more efficiently than Kamenashi, even the strongest of the darkness element can be dispelled, but will only work once per day due to its power.

Kaza: At some point in their ancient past, they already know what predators are like to face, and this one is the xenomorphosis of that form. This is the Grand Servant of Ramona Savu, and a longtime friend, with Koru as the surname and also came from Carpathia from one of its lakes Ramona frequently visited as a child before he somehow left too for the Kovunanto when he wasn't a xenomorph. He may had a tragic past, but his soul deep within him is what kept St Ramona safe. Because of her blessing, he can't be soul trapped despite being a xenomorph that is.

Tsutsumi: While she may be a Grand Master now with her own Grand Servant named Veto, she still protects Lucian like she means it as part of her eternal mission, as she has trained with him for a very, very long time. Her sword is unmatched in damage potential, but unlike Hegerissa that sticks to a four-swing pattern, every single swing out of her sword if successfully hit is lethal the moment it touches the dermis part of the skin (and it has to get past the epidermis part) unless blocked, due to her perfection of kenjutsu and her weapon. They should steer well clear of her deadly swings, or they'll get minced, and their power armor if hit will have its shields down instantly. She has broken many power armors of the Chasers before long back then with ease, and she will now do the same to them. Because she constantly hunts stronger monsters and trains all the time like Taki, she can't be soul trapped, and is one of them like Taki that can sense any evil presence.

Veto: As the Grand Servant of Tsutsumi, she is the Nullifier, that if things get too hot, she will force all sides of the entire battle zone to stop using anything that is more powerful than normal magics. She is more of an anti-magic person and will use a variety of negation tactics at her disposal. If hit directly, she’ll take a defensive stance and use negation wards. She is a very longtime assistant of Ramona Savu due to her surname as Navu, as she also came from Carpathia.

Jysa: An ex-Lunarian gengetsu specialist, she was captured by the Lucian Empire’s remnants not long after the planet’s fall to extract info about her people, what they did, and their goals. After realizing she’s an expert in thamuaturgic logistics, it was as if the Lucian Empire’s remnants barely got anything to know what kind of powers she might possess. After an exhaustive interrogation at some point, Jysa became an unlikely ally and she uses all of the available illusion magics. She also is the only Grand Master with enough willpower to command multiple Servants and one Grand Servant at a time. This means that if her Grand Servant does happen to die, then all her Servants will take revenge by simultaneously teleporting themselves straight into enemy positions, even inaccessible ones and attack them relentlessly. Her surname is unusual for a Lunarian, probably because she’s not well-aligned with the more loyalist Udongein species.

Daze: As a longtime ex-Dilnan princess, which is a very rare species of fairy, the last of her own kind, and longtime friend of the fallen Lucian Empire, she still thinks she can serve well again within the temporal service of Grand Master Jysa, the ex-Lunarian gengetsu specialist. Daze is the one that can cause all sorts of drug-induced magical effects, from lightheadedness, all the way up to having mental demons attacking enemies’ minds in a limited radius. Tefu probably meant “tender-hearted” as her unusual surname, and an extra party member of Ramona Savu while she tried to help the dryad Noya, the Guardian of Sagittarius. Daze’s flourish move when her health is low, is to perform a hallucinogenic dance around her enemies that will make them within a small 1 km radius to hallucinate about fairies for a few seconds before she takes out her long razor-sharp weapon and slashes all affected units at maximum speed and precision strikes within one second, with lethal consequences.

Her size, immense speed, damage with her primary weapon, and small weight is a huge advantage, and can easily dodge bullets and magical projectiles as all fairies do with ease, but if her health goes low enough, she will be forced out of her fairy form and assume a humanized form, yet can still fly, albeit it will at an ordinary bird’s speed, and damage from her weapon at the critical phase will be reduced to the equivalent of a fully upgraded ebony-quality greatsword.

And all these 21 characters are going to make the toughest multi-boss fight they never even encounter before. They're going to give them a huge kicking in their shins, and one group battle theme. The Novayans aren't really well prepared for what's to come out of them.

Before they truly engage though, St Ramo 'Savumee briefly exchanges words with Lucian and Lena from high up above, as they're on the stairwell and the duo are from the east side.

The battle map has been updated, now with the Aether group on their way to Scarlet Mansion as a team. They'll have to fight tooth and nail past the full might of the Novayans to get there, and they have all of their necessary skill sets and tactics to withstand their determined forces.

Throughout Gensokyo - Before Operation Hell Storm

The Kovunanto and the Zodiac Order will find that the Novayan forces they fought weren't just one force but an entire military coalition led by the Novayans to stop the Kovunanto. The Zodiac Order, or the Aether Team, would find themselves fighting against a Novayan-led military coalition - Novayans, Saiyanese, Nova Romans, Merdinans, Byzantines, Armanyans, Sarakans, Order Knights, Gallians, Francians, Victorians, and several others who contributed their all to the war effort. And despite everything the Allied Forces do, the Zodiac Order, Grand Servants and Masters were being a huge pain in the asses, both at and behind Allied lines.

The Kovunanto Space Extermination Force were also a problem in that though they are small in numbers their armor were simply enough to stall the Allied advances. Close air support, airstrikes and overwhelming artillery bombardment - utilizing ice-based, water-based, star-based, earth-based and wind-based thaumaturgical munitions that would not cause arsons - were called in to stop the KSEF Sangheilis' counterattack and advance, and combat ground forces would stall them.

Fortunately, with the withdrawal of the unknown second alien forces, the Allied Forces were able to commit 500,000 combat aerospacecraft to achieve air dominance. Additional corvettes and frigates were deployed to help the Allied aerial combat squadrons take down the Kovunanto aerial forces. But the ground war below is not going well. If the Zodiac Order, Grand Servants and Masters and the KSEF managed to shatter the Allied lines, it will be more chaotic than before. Fortunately, the Allied lines will hold for now.

While this is going on a number of UAV drones, equipped with aetheric resonance imaging equipment, were in the skies searching for anything that may be of interest. And that is when one of them will find the Zodiac Order, Grand Servants and Masters making their way down the stairs toward Komachi's Ferry. The drone's camera zoomed on Ramona and Jysa, both of whom emitted magic greater than the regular thaumaturges, before the drone's camera fixed on Ramona.

Orbital Headquarters, Sanctuary System

"So, they have begun?" came the distorted yet low-toned voice of a man that via transmission to Lord Admiral Borealis I and his officers. "That is correct," replied the Lord Admiral, "we have confirmed the presence of the Aether Team. And they are fighting their way through our forces as I speak. Even worse, our troops have reported being assailed from behind allied lines by some fairy and what appeared to be five hundred elite Kovunanto soldiers that were slowly stalemating our forces."

"Then send everything you have, through everything against the Aether Team and their forces. Do whatever it takes to shatter them. Shatter them all," said the distorted voice via transmission. "But sir, casualties will be at the most highest! We can't just send so many lives at will!" protested one of the Allied military officers. "Do it. They will be stopped dead in their tracks. Do you want to be replaced by one of my Imperial Knights?" There was silence. "Good. Carry them out."

"Yes, your Imperial Regency!"

"The Marine Hunters, Marine Raiders and Imperial Legionnaires were to participate in the battle now. Aid the Allied Forces from the shadows. Stall the 500 Immortals."

"YES YOUR IMPERIAL REGENCY!"

"Wardens. Pikesmen. "

"Yes, your Imperial Regency!"

"Shaded Knight, Hunter."

"Yes, Grand Admiral?"

"Head to the Mansion with a detachment of Marine Raiders, Marine Hunters, and Pikesmen, in addition to some Make sure that the item the Aether Team wanted to get is a message laden with deadly cognitohazards. They will know that WE have returned. Commence Operation Hell Storm. And Knights Jeanne and Heinrich."

"Yes?"

"You are to hunt down the leader of this Aether Team, a woman named Ramona. Kill her, then kill the rest of the Aether Team."

In battlezones where the KSEF Sangheilis were present, Allied combat troops received transmissions from Naval Command that reinforcements were en route to help turn the tides to the Allies' favor. Then, a number of portals were opened up to reveal what the Allied Forces expected but actually felt they didn't actually asked for: 100 warriors of undetermined origin, consisting of Imperial Halberdiers and regular-looking marines. There were actually differences between them and the regulars: the Imperial Halberdiers who comprised 1/3 of the 100-strong reinforcement group have black uniforms, their shields displaying a dark red compass rose logo surrounded by a ring of occult symbols that cannot be found in the time span between a past million years and today, ones that don't match any existing or even previous occult symbols, and halberds whose sharp edges glow orange and dark red; the regular-looking marines, on the other hand, resembled Philippine Army soldiers with US Army equipment, equipped with XM8 rifle variants.

The KSEF would have laughed at them - before finding themselves assailed by these 100 warriors. The Imperial Halberdiers and marines who battled the KSEF turned out to be not show-offers but something else: the [color=#00BF00]Imperial Halberdiers[/color]' shields, swords and halberds were made of a material that cannot be found elsewhere, while the marines who used the XM8 Compacts and XM8 Short Carbines were equipped with what appeared to be "chain-swords", swords that function like military-grade chainsaws; the XM8 Compacts and XM8 Short Carbines were also found to fire thaumaturgical ammunition that can melt or even pierce enemy armor. The armor these marines used were made of a material that also can't be found elsewhere.

While the Marines' and Imperial Halberdiers' weapons found their match in the KSEF Sangheilis' own powered armor, the KSEF Sangheilis' own powered armor have also found their match in the Marines' and Imperial Halberdiers' weapons. But their mission is NOT to kill the KSEF. Their mission is to distract and stall them long enough for the Allied Forces to continue their rapid takeover of nodes.

Meanwhile, Allied ground and air forces began swelling in numbers at an unprecedented rate to safeguard the Allied-controlled nodes.

Five portals opened up, exiting them were 100 marines and 50 Imperial Halberdiers who resembled those confronting and stalling the KSEF, and two warriors: a soldier in a sleeved, hooded cloak and a marine with an XM8 Compact rifle and a chainsword. "Shaded Knight, shall we start the attack?" The marine asked with a sadistic glee. "Yes, Hunter Scarlamoch," replied the Shaded Knight, "Warriors, commence Operation Blood Storm." And so the Shaded Knight, Hunter Scarlamoch and the 100 Marines and 50 Imperial Halberdiers commenced the attack on the Scarlet Devil Mansion.

Unlike the Dread Hunter, this group of warriors don't rip and tear, but rather they kill indiscriminately. Youkais who aligned themselves with the Kovunanto were utterly slaughtered before these deadly warriors, but those who made themselves neutral or allied with the Novayan Allied Forces were left alone. And the mission of Scarlamoch, the Shaded Knight and their companion-warriors were to find the one thing the Aether Team searched for, and destroy it once and for all. Operation Withered Tree

Allied combat ground and air forces, now swelling with reinforcements, commenced the attack on the Zodiac Order, Grand Servants and Masters. Normally the Allied Forces would fight in a sort of pitched battle, but what the Zodiac Order, Grand Servants and Masters experienced isn't sort of a form of pitched battle - rather, the Zodiac Order would find themselves being assailed by occasional Allied airstrikes and artillery strikes while Allied combat ground forces attacked them from around them. The Allied attacks stalled the Zodiac Order for a very long time. And it is a grueling battle, a battle of attrition, one that would whittle away every Zodiac Order members, Grand Servants and Masters' health.

As the attritional battle that is Operation Withered Tree continued, Knights Jeanne and Heinrich arrived alongside a group of 12 Imperial Halberdiers, 29 soldiers in advanced combat gear, and 5 knights arrived at the Road of Liminality and waited for the rest of the Zodiac Order, the Grand Servants and the Masters - fully known as the Aether Team - to arrive.

And by the time the Aether Team arrived at the Road of Liminality, they would find themselves being attacked by Knights Jeanne and Heinrich as well as their companion warriors - Jeanne would fight Ramona with her sword and standard while Heinrich would fight Lucian and Tamatsuki with his assault rifle, pistol and sword. Allied troops en route from the Human Village to the Road of Liminality would arrive and help the two Knights and their companion-warriors fight the Aether Team head on. Some Allied supersoldiers - soldiers wearing combat power armor and using big guns - would get up close and personal at Aether Team members with photon bayonets on their big assault rifles, dealing heavy damages.

Merlin Vunzontevo, who had to rest and recuperate for one day, would eventually join the fight alongside the Grandmaster of the Order of Parelsis Denever Orilson and his brother Valader; all three will take on the rest of the Grand Servants and Masters. Even the Dread Hunter and two Imperial Halberdiers would join the fight; they will handle Jysa, Tsutsumi, Lucian and Ramona. Lastly, the Grandmaster of the Order of the Vanquisher would arrive, utilizing the artifacts Armor of Vengeance, Sword of Banishment, and Hammer of the Vanquisher to fight the other members of the Zodiac Order.

This battle is nothing but a slow slog, taking 12 hours for the Aether Team to arrive at the

Behind Allied Lines

Allied rear line forces had begun searching for the one that caused trouble behind enemy lines. Additional Allied rear line troops were deployed to help find whoever caused trouble to them. And then they received word that Marine Hunters were deployed. The Allies shudder at the thought of those monsters being present. "Those chainsword-wielding maniacs will cause more trouble!" one Allied soldier said. "Those guys? No thanks, I'd rather take the Kovunanto, the Aether Team and the 500 Immortals than see them hunt their enemy down persistently," another soldier said. And now, the 50 Marine Hunters, who resemble the marines involved in fighting the KSEF, began searching for their prey, the one who caused trouble behind the Allied lines. And they are persistent, too persistent even for the one in fairy form who caused trouble between Allied lines.

Gensokyo

20 Azgarbian soldiers were sent to Gensokyo to conduct intel gathering. These 20 were the strongest and most of their race so it would be hard to actually find and exterminate them.

They set up a landing point near Kovunanto territory and began manuvering drones into enemey airspace ,the drones were equipped with stealth technology to make it harder to track the presence of New Zoigai's forces, but the data collected would not be sent to the Kovunanto. Since the government was still weighing the option of opening more markets in the Sol Trinary System.

However this data would be sent to New Zoigain forces in nearby systems, In case a sneak attack was requested by the Kovunanto. The vast majority of officers who got this information, simply put them In data holders, while some did study and put it into their training programs.

The Zodiac Order, Grand Masters and Grand Servants have pushed hard out of the stairwell hours earlier, even as they fight, they can still get through Higan and destroy the human-controlled node, thus resulting in the Hakugyokurou Manor node isolated.

However, by noon, the Makai Corps after a few days of fighting the humans and all their effort eventually go to waste, they are declared extinct from the record. The stairwell, the shrine grounds, the paths toward Kourindou and Tougenkyou, and the road towards it and Human Village although full of dead teenage soldiers in dark red, are all dead. That leaves just the Makai Demons and the God of Makai to deal with before the human forces can overtake Makai, which will then make it another difficult fight ahead of them, since Makai is like a plane of oblivion that expands sort of infinitely in its own pocket dimension within Gensokyo.

Should Makai be captured by the human forces, then the Kovunanto’s best forces will have to plow their way much later on to get to the boundary.

Gensokyo, Perimeter Areas around Prismriver Manor
Day 3: 12:30 hours Gensokyo time

By 12:30 hours, Grand Servant Daze single-handedly isolated the perimeter areas around Prismriver Manor as a means to clear the way for the Zodiac Order, the Grand Masters and the Grand Servants, but she is not done yet. She will continue to disrupt enemy activity by heading to the perimeter areas around the Scarlet Mansion too to clear a path much later on, using the same size advantage and blending of the environment for lightning-fast attacks with her long razor-sharp spiked blade, already covered in the bloodstains of so many enemy soldiers.

Gensokyo, Hakurei Shrine
Day 3: 13:30 hours Gensokyo time

The shrine has been taken over by humans and Makai is the only neutral node left standing on the whole map, as Tougenkyou’s already been taken as well, too, but it will have no impact on the mission for the human side. There’s no sign of Meimu, because she has already long left for Youkai Mountain and in complete safety.

With air superiority now in human hands as blue, the neutral-aligned youkai that are trying to read the skies, cover the footage and so forth, gives the human aircraft a very wide berth and just go elsewhere in the atmosphere to continue their normal routine, minding their own business. Kovunanto aerial forces will need to rely on Kamenashi to soften it up, and Kamenashi can do that very easily with fly-by attacks with one hand and flying the gigantic broom with the other hand. She says this:

After being warned by the Guardian of Capricorn once for a few seconds, she says another line.

After another warning by the Guardian of Capricorn for another few seconds in flight, she says one more line, but in half-Shakespearean and translated to English.

Kamenashi Utemara, Guardian of Capricorn: If 't (If it) be true thou stayeth not hence (you don't stay away), mine own (my own) cater-cousins (friends) shall has't (have) to SAYETH ABOUT IT!"

After three warnings, she'll then attack the flying hostile aero-spacecraft with her star magic.

Kamenashi Utemara zips around the skies faster than even the aero-spacecraft with her gigantic broom form of her stave, and unleashes heat-seeking star missiles that are locked-on and honed in to their craft and fling as fast as possible to counter the chaff measures. She’s one versatile defensive magical witch, having used to being supportive of many other magical girls that were alongside her when she was with Ramona back on Lucia in the 2210s. She flies so fast that she can zip through enemy fire.

At the same time, Aya and Hatate attempt to capture and sketch live footage of Kamenashi’s magical attacks, commenting it from a distance.

Aya Shameimaru: “Look at it here, Gensokyo! Today, we’re seeing some magical shots around here worth a photoshoot! One magical girl against a bunch of hostile craft!”
Hatate Himekaidou: “I’m gonna make some fast sketches out of this one! Well worth the art gallery for me and the public!”

The two then attempt to fly away quickly and head for the southern part of Gensokyo. By 19:00 hours, air superiority quickly returned to neutral due to Kamenashi’s efforts, and by 22:00 hours, Kovunanto aerial forces quickly regained air superiority.

Day 3: 16:00 hours Gensokyo time

By the time St Ramona and the others that aren’t Kamenashi and Daze, hostile UAV drones were sent to take pictures of her and Jysa, but Jysa is a different Grand Master and an ex-Lunarian. St Ramona uses her thunder magic to destroy the drones right as it zooms near them, and is destroyed, but not before the footage was already being sent to their home territory. Komachi’s Ferry node is destroyed. Komachi jumps out at last and begins to battle the humans, and she is indeed part of the Kovunanto now.

Some time after a long rest and some eating, Hecatia Lapislazuli with very little remembrance of what transpired since, makes way to Tenmu firsthand and reports in.

Hecatia Lapislazuli: “My clone has disappeared in action, Joon and Shion shot themselves to save each other from capture.”
Tenmu: “Are they so much prepared?”
Hecatia Lapislazuli: “No doubt about it, my Lord.”
Tenmu: “Hmm... well, that is something that needs considering. At any rate, this mountain is going to be on its last heels, and Momiji had been keeping its close eye for intruders for a millennia. And what of your other self?”

Hecatia then shows what the other clone, the one with yellow hair and eyes, has brought the data about the near exterminated Lunarians, with abandoned moon bases, a lunar city they called the Lunar Capital, abandoned hi-tech weaponry, and the superweapon that was used to destroy Lucia, destroyed by machines with no traces.

Hecatia Lapislazuli: “The Lunarians that we hated so much, my Lord, they were already long gone, that is what made me in my Moon self able to gather info on what the Lunarians did.”
Tenmu: “Are they truly long dead?”
Hecatia Lapislazuli: “As far as we are concerned, there’s still two left. One is a small rabbit leader, and the other is some kind of trickster that defected. That’s it. Just two left! Tewi Inaba and Jysa Sattin!”
Tenmu: “Wait until the impenetrable shield that surrounds Gensokyo is down, and then strike.”
Hecatia Lapislazuli: “What is it again, my Lord?”
Tenmu: “I reiterated what I said before. We wait until the impenetrable shield is down, and then the pact will then be broken, scrapped into bits into the dust.”
Hecatia Lapislazuli: “So what then, just taking a break from all the pranks I’ve been pulling?”

Tenmu doesn’t say any further and turns around facing away from her as she continues planning from the war room table alongside Meimu.

Gensokyo, Youkai Mountain, Outside
Day 3: 18:00 hours Gensokyo time

Meanwhile outside, Momiji and Nemuno are preparing to alert the nearby youkai that human reinforcements are once again on the way and will hold their ground. Momiji has confirmed that something bad happened at Myouren Temple. Sanae is critically wounded, but the others are still holding ground. Hata no Koroko the masquerade with her blue long spear, Nue Houjuu, Ichirin Kumoi, Shou Toramaru, Kyouko Kasodani, Byakuren Hijiri, Mamizou Futatsuiwa, Nazrin, Koishi Komeiji, Satori and the sisters just so happens to be present, and all are ready to hold their ground.

Day 3: 19:30 hours Gensokyo time

The 100 of KSEF’s forces arrived at the Scarlet Mansion only to find the node already heavily damaged but still under Kovunanto control. The inhabitants were really putting up a fight and already wounded many of their enemies real good. They now assist the inhabitants of the Scarlet Mansion with their own weapons that can mess up their power armor’s shields and through them.

Remilia, the most powerful ally of the Kovunanto within this land, controls the manipulation of fate, that she will hit her enemies with full accuracy regardless of speed or trajectory, it will always hit its mark with her red spear. She won’t let the humans dictate this battle in any way, and as long as she’s alive, the battle is guaranteed to be handed over to the Kovunanto even if somehow the book gets destroyed, there’s always an alternative objective to be had for the aliens.

They had also blocked off the humans from the south and southwest entry points, but not from the east. Some of the inhabitants of the mansion then block off the eastern entry point, effectively choking off all manner of escape routes for those already engaged with them. They’re very smart.

There’s no sign of the Grand Masters, Grand Servants, and the Zodiac Order any closer to the mansion at this time, and Sakuya Izayoi, if she finds out about the books in the library being trip-wired will inform Patchouli and Koakuma, both neutral-affiliated to investigate the matter while she goes to clean up the kitchen that was the source of the commotion, and she is also neutral-affiliated, even though she is the Grand Servant of Remilia Scarlet.

Gensokyo, Road of Reconsideration
Day 3: 20:00 hours Gensokyo time

After long hours of stalling, eventually they can see the human forces getting tired, and the 100 KSEF soldiers was able to penetrate through it and start gunning them down as ground and aerial vehicles move in to retake the skies slowly. They want to make sure the road is secure enough so they can brace for entering the graveyard and attack the node later on.

Day 3: 22:00 hours Gensokyo time

Night has settled in once again, and by the time the isolated human-controlled node has been destroyed by itself in Hakugyokurou Manor, the Kovunanto won’t have to worry about them way up there in that place. At the same time, the one that sang the song to one of the Delegations that were holed up in there, Yuyuko, finally had enough of the human presence for disturbing her peace after one week of staying, and just asks them to leave at once more sternly, wishing to be left alone and will remain neutral due to her eternal mourning, lest the spirit of Youmu Konpaku and her dearly departed ghostly companion Myon that Yuyuko been mourning in her grave will be disturbed of her rest.

With Higan and Komachi’s Ferry nodes captured from hours earlier, and Komachi assisting them with her reaping scythe, arriving at the Road of Liminality node, they are about to go toe-to-toe with some of their historical counterparts. Aya and Hatate arrived in time to see what’s happening, but before they know it, a tiny-sized Grand Servant happens to be around and doesn’t like the idea of them being seen captured live, so she slashes the two of them all around their bodies at lightning speed and then flies away. Aya and Hatate’s equipment drops to the river below, and they both fall down into the shallow water. With their wings detached, Aya and Hatate then slowly limp their way to the surface to figure out what had happened to them. Razor-sharp cuts are all over them to indicate they’re seriously hurt. They are now unable to fly and with their equipment destroyed, they’re now in range of the Wraiths, Shade turrets, Kig-Yar snipers positioned on small towers, and some standard Sangheili soldiers patrolling around the Sanzu River.

The Wraiths without hesitation fire their long arc plasma shots with a whirring sound as a warning that it is heading straight for them both. They won’t go very far and eventually the release of the big blue shot exploded right behind their feet, and they were sent flying forward with their arms flailing towards the thick grass in front of them, illuminated partly by the waning gibbous moon above them. The plasma shot from the Wraith burned right through their epidermis that still had some of the open wounds on them, and it hurt like hell. Within a minute or two, Aya and Hatate then receive a second plasma shot that pulverizes them away. They’re both dead.

After carving a path of decimation for the Zodiac Order, the Grand Masters and Grand Servants, they seem to be unstoppable, until the arrival of more Novayan elite units, and with their Dread Hunter now on the field at last, Lucian will tell St Ramona and all the others around him that they brought in someone with a raging determination to stop all of them, the same two containers from earlier. St Ramona alerts all members of the Zodiac Order, the other Grandmasters and their Grand Servants that isn’t Daze that the Novayans’ best forces has arrived waiting for them.

The epic fight then commences on the Road of Liminality node, but it will only last for a little while before the team starts to overwhelm them.

Tamatsuki unleashes giant crab swarms half the size of a human being from her giant claws. A crab army of only ten-thousand strong with large cannons on one arm, and their claw on the other that requires a little bit of charging up time, and fires in a way like artillery do, but can also be used to fire straight. She now goes berserk and will start clawing up enemy reinforcements’ armor like a true yandere would, and it will become very flashy that the camera had to turn black and red in a split-second. Her anger turns into pleasure, and her eyes widened, even having part of her forehead turning dark.

Kamenashi immediately swoops down very fast in flight mode to perform dive-bombing magical strikes at lightning speed as well as casting defensive wards expertly to defend against whatever artifacts being thrown at her. If any of her teammates get hurt, or she gets hurt herself enough, she’ll automatically throw down healing potions periodically at their hands like a postwoman to her friends, and drink any she has to spare for herself on the go. Jeanne and Heinrich are onto their specified targets, but the Zodiac Order, Grand Masters and Grand Servants as a team except for Daze are really handling this despite having a bit of sleep deprivation getting into them, but they must keep going. Three nodes are off the main path along the way, one is the Prismriver Manor, the second is the Nameless Hill, and the third is the Youkai Forest. St Ramona then received word from Lucian that some of the bigger uppers, the KSEF, has arrived to help. It may not look like much, but some of them will definitely shore up the defenses and boosting their morale tremendously, and they can’t be killed off.

Rumia is also confirmed dead after a long day of fighting. The darkness that has enshrouded the wilderness disappears completely to normal lighting levels. She is face down on the road.

With the 200 of the 500 KSEF’s help, the one group of 100 that was sent to the southern nodes, and the other 100 to assist and protect the team after skirting around their enemies with ground vehicles and aerial support mainly by Kamenashi, they attack together to bring down the Nameless Hill node. It is heavily fortified, but Kamenashi is able to call upon her ultimate ability in which she must stand still and be protected by others for the duration of the ability, called Starfall. This is the exact move from the Priestess of the Moon, it sends down a huge barrage of purple-white falling stars as a bright purple-white light with a crescent moon symbol appears on top of her pink hat.

Her stave is up in the sky as she closes her eyes and sings in a language only she and Lucian can understand, her and his voice know the lyrics exactly to that song. The shooting stars are actually magically-generated meteors, not the ones from the real constellations, and so it takes some seconds at around the speed of light to hit the surface one by one, about 30,000 to be precise, and in sync.

These falling stars once it hits the ground pack quite a punch, knocking down whatever fortifications that has been placed with perfect accuracy, along with whatever enemy soldiers in place receiving a lot of star-based damage, and since these falling stars of pure energy were rained down on them with homing trajectories, it really did hurt them. The fortified base was lit on fire brighter than a fireworks show, and while it is in play, Darcie McRoy then uses her magical water jug out of thin air full of water to ensure that the nearby trees around the fortified base don’t start catching fire, now that the turrets are downed.

The Nameless Hill node is neutralized and cratered by Kamenashi’s ultimate ability now entering a 24-hour cooldown, and ready for the taking once the dust settles. Anything unfortunate that was in the direct path of these magical meteors was reduced to nothing but fresh rubble and debris, even the power armor’s shields can’t really withstand the impact zones generated by the kinetic energy of just a few TNTs put together. Combined with the 30,000 of these magical meteors, it covered the whole area around the Nameless Hill into a new ground zero, except for the trees. Each of these magical meteors represents one point of mana out of her body, and once all these thirty-thousand magical meteors had landed on the target area, her mana supply is now zero and needs to recharge.

By the end of the 3-minute light show, Kamenashi’s mana supply is fully drained, and she herself about to pass out when Leni Stelzner approaches her in time and stops her from hitting the grass.

After the capture of the Nameless Hill node, the 100 of the 500 KSEF sent to the south then split into four: 25 to guard the four nodes: Higan, Komachi’s Ferry, the Road of Liminality, and the Nameless Hill. The other 100 as the second group to protect the Zodiac Order, the Grand Masters and Grand Servants that isn’t Daze are to reach the intersection closest to the Prismriver Manor node, where Lena and Merlin had fought earlier the other night. They will fortify it with their own techs, mainly pylons to cut off hostile communications in this whole sector, and the same will be done to all other Kovunanto-controlled nodes and the main base itself. Whenever enemy forces attempt to retake the nodes, they won’t be able to communicate or report anything back to their Command and will have to communicate locally to their own units.

Unsure of what really happened to Jeanne and Heinrich as well as some other elite soldiers from hours earlier, but the team assumed that their expert teamwork skills only critically wounded both of them and the elite soldiers after hours of engaging and made them retreat. Two other nodes are in its path along the way, the Prismriver Manor node, and the Youkai Forest node. They are going to strike the Prismriver Node by tomorrow morning. Daze doesn’t seem to bother taking down the nodes, only to slaughter the lot of them in her way to clear a path before night fell, and her job really paid off. She even damaged some vehicles along the way too to cripple their movement, but not to the point of turning them into rubble.

However, the whole team is getting very tired and hungry from all the fighting and marching, they still have to push a bit more forward. A sleep-deprived and hungry team is far less effective than a fully ready team, so they have to rest until morning. Kamenashi sleeps with her head and arm resting on her stave standing in place, and Daze resting in Misty Lake by a tiny abandoned fairy house to sleep until she’s ready for new orders. As Leni Stelzner is not on low health yet, she doesn't feel like calling for backup just now.

There’s still plenty of time left on their hands, about 17 days left to complete their mission. The 100 KSEF that protected them when they had just conquered the Nameless Hill a bit earlier will also will take a rest too with the team. Some Kig-Yar from the western front will be on watch as well with their keen senses, ready to alert of any new enemy presence from any direction.

The yin-yang orb carrier from Day 2 somehow was able to get to the Youkai Forest node after getting lost in the thickness of trees for two days, and almost instantly runs over the node for the orb to be destroyed as it touches the node. The node turns from blue to purple, and the yin-yang orb machine spawns another one back at their main base. The tide is turning.

Gensokyo, Road of Reconsideration and Muenzuka

The Road of Reconsideration’s middle zone is now captured by the Kovunanto and are now ready to push through Muenzuka by the KSEF’s northern 100 group. Once that’s captured, they’ll then have their pylons and fortifications set, and will have ground and aerial forces ready to invade and capture Yuuka’s field by early morning, as they then need a rest.

Almost all of the Kovunanto forces except the ones at the Scarlet Mansion and Muenzuka will still be fighting for a little longer. Ground and aerial forces from the western nodes will reinforce the Higan, Komachi's Ferry, Road of Liminality and Nameless Hill, and by morning, the attack on not only the Human Village, but also the UNSC’s Power Core, as the platform has already raised their core so that it is revealed to the Kovunanto forces.

Throughout Gensokyo

Refusing to allow the Kovunanto to achieve air superiority, 1,000,000 combat aerospacecraft were deployed to swarm the skies and engage the enemy. Specialized Hunter-Killer squadrons were deployed to hunt down Kamenashi. Utilizing specialized thaumaturgical weapons and conceptual techniques, they were designed to hunt down those who shot down many of their brethren. They are going to kill Kamenashi for everything she does.

200 Imperial Halberdiers were soon deployed to tackle the 100 KSEF Sangheilis at the Scarlet Devil Mansion. They're going to keep them occupied so that Allied forces will breach.

In response to the situation at the Road of Reconsideration, 500,000 combat forces soon surged in to help reinforce their being-slaughtered comrades. 200 Imperial Halberdiers were then sent to fight the 100 KSEF Sangheilis, driving the enemies back.

In response to the attack on the Nameless Hill, 500 Imperial Halberdiers were deployed to stop the 200 KSEF Sangheilis. The 500 Halberdiers soon fought them, stopping them from ever getting out.

After being asked to leave, Delegation Minoris, Allied soldiers and the 100 order knights agreed to her request and tries to leave. Unfortunately, they can't get out because they're stuck behind enemy lines. So, there's only one way they can do: climb down the southwestern cliff of Higan.

The 45,000 Imperial Halberdiers didn't capture Makai, instead 50 Imperial Halberdiers were stationed to guard the path to Makai.

Throughout Gensokyo - Operation Thunder Roll
Refusing to let this battle lose, the Allied Forces launched Operation Thunder Roll. From Staging Point Velder and the Human Village, 6,000,000 Allied soldiers launched a counteroffensive to take back the Road of Liminality and the Nameless Hill all the way to Higan. This will consist of armored spearheads followed by mechanized infantry formations, preceded by heavy artillery bombardment and airstrikes. Supporting the offensive were 30 Titan Combat Walkers. 1,000,000 Allied soldiers already headed for the Prismriver Manor, which was held by 2,500 Imperial Halberdiers redeployed from the assaulting forces that shattered the hated Makai Corps.

From the Human Village-Sun Garden Line, 4,000,000 Allied combat forces launched a westward offensive to take back the Youkai Forest, with 500,000 of them sent to reinforce the Allied positions at the Prismriver Manor. Finally, 3,000,000 Allied soldiers stationed throughout the Garden of the Sun, Alice's House and the Eastern Road of Reconsideration commenced the retaking of the Road of Reconsideration and Muendzuka. Both had 50 Titan Combat Walkers.

3 million Allied combat aerospacecraft, 50 frigates and 150 corvettes were then deployed to take back air superiority/dominance from the Kovunanto aerial forces. Joining them were members of the Knights of the Void's elite Hunter-Killer squadrons, order knights and order valkyries sent to kill Kamenashi.

To aid in this rapid offensive, aerial transports carrying combat ground forces were deployed to transport Allied soldiers and supplies to battles the Allied ground forces needed. Sometimes these aerial transports offload Allied combat soldiers to take over Kovunanto nodes after airstrikes softened enemy positions. Protecting them were 2,000,000 combat aerospacecraft that would engage anyone that threatened to take out the aerial transports.

Allied Territories such as Staging Point Velder, Alice's House, Kourindou, Hakurei Shrine, Marisa's House, Forest of Magic, Garden of the Sun and Human Village

Responding to the attack, an additional 3 million Allied combat troops were deployed to help defend Staging Point Velder. Two groups of 5,000 Imperial Halberdiers were redirected from the Human Village to Staging Point Velder and defend its node. They'll be a huge problem to anyone.

10 million Allied forces were soon deployed across all across Allied territories such as Alice's and Marisa's Houses, the Forest of Magic, the Garden of the Sun, Kourindou, the Human Village, and the Hakurei Shrine. They made sure to reinforce and fortify their positions.

The 100 Marine Hunters soon found the trails Daze left, and so tracked her down. So immensely frustrated by their fruitless search, they made sure to track her down, and once they found her they'll make sure to kill her by tearing her limbs and wings to shreds.

Road to Scarlet Devil Mansion

The Imperial Knights Jeanne and Heinrich weren't injured. However, the two have been assailing the Zodiac Order just to see how good they were. Once the Aether Team is exhausted, the two Imperial Knights attacked again. The Dread Hunter and his two Imperial Halberdier escorts were then joined by eight more Imperial Halberdiers and soon assailed the Aether Team. Grandmaster Denever and his brother Valader soon joined with a compliment of 20 Parelsian Knights. The 12 Imperial Halberdiers, 29 soldiers in advanced combat gear, and 5 knights the two Imperial Knights brought with them also joined the fight. Finally, Merlin Vunzontevo, joined her escort of eight Assault Knights and five Palatine Knights returned to fight the Aether Team.

As an additional backup, any of the 500 KSEF Sangheilis or the 500 Immortals that may appear to help the Aether Team will find themselves assailed by 1,000 Imperial Halberdiers, who have made sure to surround the battlezone the Allied Heroes and the Aether Team fought each other at. This time, the Allied Heroes would fight harder, smarter, and faster. This time, the battle would be different.

The Dread Hunter and his ten Imperial Halberdier escorts would target St. Ramona. This time, the Dread Hunter decided to make use of his weapons and abilities to damage her hard, with Jeanne and Heinrich occasionally joining in the fight when necessary to deal St. Ramona heavy damages. Looks like the Dread Hunter identifies St. Ramona as his primary target, and he's going to kill her.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Allied Heroes would attack the rest of the Aether Team, with the 1,000 Imperial Halberdiers battling the KSEF Sangheilis.

And just as things were about to get worse, the same three Imperial Halberdiers who killed Rumia soon joined the fight. They joined the fight against St. Ramona to deal her even more damages.

Scarlet Devil Mansion and Road to Scarlet Devil Mansion

However, what Remilia failed to realize is that she had an opponent in the Shaded Knight, whose blade deflected and shattered every shot she aimed right at him. "Fate has no control over me, and neither will you manipulate my fate," thus said the Shaded Knight. At that moment, whatever fate manipulation Remilia had on the Shaded Knight won't work on him. And so, he fought Remilia. But he doesn't intend to kill the rest. Unbeknownst to all but the Shaded Knight and Scarlamoch, this was a diversion; twenty Shadow Marines (specialized Marine Raiders tasked with infiltration missions) had already infiltrated the Scarlet Devil Mansion. The Shaded Knight made sure to mask the 21 Shadow Marines' presence from the Scarlets and Remilia beforehand.

Led by the Hunter Scarlamoch's second-in-command and equipped with a thaumo-cloaking technique kept secret only to the Hunter Scarlamoch and the Black Empire's top-highest echelons, they and the 20 Shadow Marines would head towards the library and find the item that the Aether Team searched for. They have strict orders NOT to get themselves into engaging some woman named Flandre's view; the ancient cloaking technique allowed them to be unseen and unheard by anyone including Flandre, but stepping onto anything or even firing at Flandre would anger her. Thus, if they see her or anyone else then avoid her at all cost. They also have to minimize the creaking sounds caused by their unheard footsteps stepping on the wooden floor.

The 21 invisible Marine Raiders have also been told to not touch the books but instead each utilized an artifact that allowed them to sense which books were trip-wired and which books weren't, as well as which item is the very item the Aether Team sought for. It took a while before they find the right one. The Shadow Marines were also equipped each with a specialized artifact that can cut the tripwire connected to the item they so searched for without needing to use tools that required them to use said tools to cut the tripwire(s). If there's a few or some of the item, then they'll have to take those once the tripwires were cut, too. If anyone already got them, then they will have to snatch it from them while making sure that the accident is not lethal. If the item(s) have some magic that allows it/them to be tracked, then the magics used on them will be dispelled. Scarlamoch's second-in-command grabbed the item the Aether Team sought for and left with the 20 invisible Marine Raiders, said item now hidden within the second-in-command's invisible (both to hearing and sight) Bag of Holding.

The 21 Shadow Marines immediately exfiltrated from the mansion, allowing Scarlamoch, the Shaded Knight and their task force to eventually withdraw by fighting their way through the Scarlet Devil Mansion's gate and breached it. Soon the task force made its way towards the battlezone where the Aether Team were assailed by the Allied Heroes. Hunter Scarlamoch and the Shaded Knight joined the fight by targeting Tamatsuki, St. Ramona and Lucian; their task force would focus on battling the rest of the Zodiac Order and the KSEF Sangheilis present or about to arrive.

Tiffany and Lucian would find themselves being assailed by Jeanne and Heinrich again. "Do you honestly think that I am the Jeanne d'Arc of the past?" Imperial Knight Jeanne asked Tiffany. "Well, unfortunately for you, I am not the Jeanne d'Arc you thought of me to be - the Jeanne d'Arc you know is but a pale imitation of me, a failed imitation of me in the times we shattered EVERYTHING, and it all comes down to this."

"I don't know who the hell you are, but suffice to say the Heinrich you fought is NOT me," replied Imperial Knight Heinrich to St Luci, "You make it sound like I know you, when I haven't even met you; even worse, you weren't born just before the Celestial Sundering hits back in the distant past!"

Behind Allied Territories

Somewhere in Allied-controlled Gensokyo, the 21 Shadow Marines completely destroyed the item(s) the Aether Team sought for.

Yujia's ship landed in the sky island, far away from the Novayans forces. She, and her clones, inmediatly hide their ship and started to walk were the Novayans were, they sent a drone with the message that they were there to assist them in the fight.

Sun received the transmission and began to look into the files given before realizing the situation was above his pay grade. He closed his eyes, took several deep breaths, and began typing away at his computer again, relaying the information to someone more qualified and authorized.

Moments later, a portal large enough to fit the Remulian vessel opened slightly above an empty space at the military portion of the facility, with Imperial Warriors surrounding it and keeping their weapons trained at the gaping hole in the fabric of the universe. The only person not seen brandishing one was a moustached man looking to be in his late twenties, standing in a suit as he eyed the opening carefully and anticipated the Remulians to emerge soon.
