Armbruster is closing its borders for any citizens, goods and everything else from World of Krieg and Lodhs beard.
We still believe in an peacefull ending and keep open our diplomatic lines.
Turn around and dont loose as a dictatorship.
Statement by Deputy Junior Foreign minister, Nikolai Kuznetsov:
'What is seen here is a clear example of consistent unfriendly actions by the international community towards the Loddhist State and its' allies. We have our system of government, other nations have theirs. Have we at any point attempted to force ours down the throats of others, using a mixture of condemnations, backroom diplomacy and embargoes? We have not. Have we threatened other nations' strategic interests based on our own ideals of governance? Once again, we have not. Armbruster, however, has. With the pretext of 'supporting human rights', they conducted the absurd farce of expelling diplomats whilst maintaining diplomacy, towards one of our closest strategic partners, no less, in whom we have significant interests. How does this work? In what sense is Armbruster planning on conducting diplmacy without diplomats? It is an absurdity. When Our ally, Krieg, rightly rejected these thinly-veiled ultimatums being presented to them, and reciprocated with their own reductions in diplomatic relations, the nation of
Erloane decided that it was time for them to involve themselves, and issue a statement of support for Armbruster. This of course, we have no issue whatsoever with; as an independent state, it has the right to decide whom it should support. In a similar manner, the Loddhist State exercised that right in order to express its' support for our long-time partners, Krieg.
These wholly unproblematic actions provoked a wholly disproportionate response from the 'government' of Armbruster. They implemented, within minutes, a total embargo of all trade and travel between not only Armbruster and Krieg, but the Loddhist State as well. For nothing more than a simple statement of support, we are being sanctioned. Of course, our nation has the means to offset these sanctions, as Armbruster composed a very small percentage of our trade before this incident. However, the symbolism of this provocative and escalative act of aggression is not lost on us. We have analysed these messages from the government of
Armbruster, and have concluded that the national government is undertaking increasingly hostile measures, for little good reason, and then claiming it is 'keeping open diplomatic lines' , while expelling diplomats in the same sentence.. The only possible cause of this that we have been able to identify with any reasonable certainty is: Armbruster is preparing to create trouble and sow discord amongst the international community. This is clearly directly counter to the interests of the Loddhist State. As such, we ourselves shall take measures to reciprocate the hostile actions of Armbruster, halting all Armbruster imports, and citizen entries, which, though insubstantial, is an important symbolic step. We shall also re-iterate our support for our Krieg partners, and must caution against attempts to impose hostile governmental systems upon either of our two nations.'
