Given that a majority of nations in this alliance has voted for the merger, Hintuwan will support the transitionary period that has currently been proposed. We will seek to improve our relations with LDO member-states during this time in conjunction with other member-states of KTO.

In the pursuit of this goal, we would like to propose that a Free Trade Agreement be signed between LDO and KTO member-states. We believe that this is a good place to start as it will allow KTO and LDO member-states to collaborate more closely economically."

"You do realize Gonswanza is taking a passive, defensive stance rather than aiming for an active offensive, nuclear or not, yes? And as said before, if Krieg engages in a war to overtake the last of Iraq, KTO will step in to crush the attempt.

Now, on Cyprus, the carrier Hades is still being patched up. I am unsure if the MoD will even consider an operation at this time, but if they do, it would mean that the occupied territory in Iraq shall be used as a staging area. And speaking of Iraq, Krieg's expanding deep into Iraq again, on a mission to destroy the population in its entirety. Gonswanza has enacted an emergency airlift, while Alexander Schloss (Laura's advisor) advises that KTO does the same, along with putting political pressure on WoK to cease their expansion and once again return to their proper occupation zone or risk a war they cannot win. Diplomacy, of course, is the best solution in this case."

Maximoff was annoyed by the horrid assumption that Gonswanza was a warmongering state. Alas, while their leader is hawkish, she isn't mentally damaged enough to wage an endless war against everyone.

Yet, he soon sees the Romanic Imperium rep leave, sighing, as he gets further updates from Laura Ortiz.

"Operation Monsoon is in effect, with the Galapagos, in the best interests of the KTO. While this does seem a touch out of line, it says here that diplomacy is being used to curb the GCN's trade, as Galapagos and Gonswanza move to secure naval bases to try to control major shipping routes in and out of Southeastern Marajabia. Huh. Well, at least it's not a full-on war. So I hope."

However, while the presence of ULIBOR is known, it is also known full well that ULIBOR would be, per Laura Ortiz, 'powerless to do anything' given the nature of the conflict. Regardless, the conflict, as I'm being told, is one that is driven against a shell of a nation whose existence is irrelevant. Hence, there is no need to discuss that further, beyond the ever-present presence of ULIBOR. Now then, if anyone wishes to do business with Gonswanza, the storefront can be found here."

"Sooo... Erm, while GCN is supposedly aiming to expand programs out of desperation, it's becoming rather apparent that they will resort to absolutely anything to stay within relevance. Not that Laura Ortiz cares, or parliament. Plus, it is stating the obvious, which has made itself common knowledge now. GCN is trying to lash out to rope in more groups and nations blindly without any real purpose.

However, to openly counter their supposed "interventions", the Ministry of Defense has approached me with an interesting proposal. Rather than sitting by idly or pushing forces to war, why not instead channel support into forces fighting against GCN's interests, as a proxy? Arms trade and humanitarian aid would benefit our own image, even if GCN would seek to demonize this to further paint themselves as the enemy. Funnily enough, they already are becoming the very "enemy" they swore to destroy, aiming to consume everything by force if it comes to that.

Granted, I suppose select groups of interest may need to be avoided, either due to such an operation being rather fruitless or simply due to the ideals of said faction conflicting with the intended result, especially if they are already under the influence of the GCN or have support from said alliance of ghosts.

But again, that is just a mere idea, rather than a hard proposal, as the Gonswanzan gov't is currently banking on GEL to reach out to possible proxies."

This, of course, comes up as a possible new way to counteract the "trade war" and GCN aggression, even if it means hiding behind groups who would appear less than desirable in some cases to the WA. Not that the GCN was any better in their blind thrashing.

Rep. Helmin:"Maximoff's idea will be taken into consideration. While we must avoid a direct confrontation, Maximoff's idea seems like an indirect way of solving the GCN crisis. Though on a different topic, I believe we should also launch a KTO initiative for ourselves. While the KTO is indeed just a defense pact, I suggest we expand it to aid our business, and at the same time, expand its goals such as anti-slavery or domestic issues. The talks with the LDO is underway, but rather, the development is slow. While we're at it, I suggest we now launch an elections as part of the article ten of the treaty. So is there anyone wishing to run for the veto power states? These veto power states are elected every month, and has the power to veto legislations by gaining 3 veto votes."

Howel Maximoff looks around, though a message on his phone seems to spur him to act. Perhaps it was bugged by his own country, or it just so happened that he left it on a video call that he fat-fingered by accident. In either case, he soon stands and makes it known that Gonswanza shows interest in such a position, being a first, though then again this was the first defense pact that they had joined, ever...

"On behalf of Laura Ortiz and The Armed Republic of Gonswanza, I am willing to run for the veto power granted by the treaty, serving under such a role until the term expires, unless it is reinstated for various reasons provided by the collective, should that occur as a rare exception to the treaty itself. Not that I'd wish for it to happen, nor is it likely any time soon."

Even if that is what effectively occurred in Gonswanza, with Mawar being kicked out of office due to personal injury, then Laura Ortiz seizing power, destroying the constitution, taking up absolute power, and finally purging her enemies to ensure that power will remain in her hands even after a swift and brutal reorganization to give herself more power over parliament than what would have been allowed under the now former constitution. Granted, Gonswanza's position in the KTO couldn't possibly allow for such a doomsday scenario to occur, much less be allowed to happen without Gonswanza itself getting ejected from KTO and later invaded for the craptastic event.

Luckily, such an idea would never be raised, especially with Laura Ortiz deciding to leave the KTO alone, hoping to instead use them for more economic opportunities. That, paired to the proxy war plan, only meant that she'd have new ways of riling up her enemies indirectly through KTO.
