Alright Scavs I'm introducing a few new parts of the Junkyard (the DMZ)
Birdman's sanction (safe zone)- low-risk area
Who is this man well we don't know either way this person has somehow managed to build a sanction for the various birds that inhabit the Junkyard ranging from cockatoos that are almost the size of an adult human to the common birds such as ravens, crows, and hawks. Stories from Veteran Scavs and Hunters have said that if you were to complete the calling riddle and find him he'll grant your wish whether being from eternal glory to limitless power. In reality, however, it is much more sinister and ends up costing the wisher's life
The Overgrown Battlefront- high-risk area
taking place in an old town that is been reclaimed by nature somewhere in the west of the Junkyard it is also the same place where 4 groups are fighting over the place the reason being unknown however it seems that the tunnel people (OSDRT) are supplying all 4 sides with weapons and resources to keep them fighting. The known Factions are the following.
Taggers
A tribal-like group who are known to wear both animal and human bones. They prefer fast and devasting attacks using either melee or makeshift weapons however when using firearms they prefer to use shotguns, SMGs, and Sniper Rifles and are well taught in making makeshift traps, poison, and weapons. To anyone who is new to Overgrown, they are commonly mistaken for cultists who preached Toten Droids.
They are led by "The Three"
The Vagabonds
A bunch of Bandits and Marauders who came together what they wear varies among each person however some can be seen wearing either a balaclava that covers either the full or half of their face or a gas mask. because most of them are criminals their skills vary from one to another ranging from producing homemade explosives to reloading ammo. They usually are armed with some military-grade weaponry and low-grade weaponry with light to no body armor and prefer to fight in groups to make up for this.
They are led by Limpid
Knights of the Day Past
Don't be fooled while they look like a bunch of people wearing what appears to be makeshift knights' armor that said armor is made from TU-556-1 one of the most durable and lightweight metals in Oceania being able to stop armor-piercing rounds like 7.62x51 and 7.62x54R however it won't stop kinetic energy from the impact although they could if the tunnel people were to bring them the required materials, either way, they're not the ones to mess with in battle. Known to make good use of firearms with AP ammunition, Swords, and other medieval weapons including trebuchets both small portable ones and large stationary ones, to military-grade artillery weapons including mortars. When using firearms they prefer shotguns making good use of the KS-23 and makeshift flamethrowers, and of course automatic carbines one of their signature weapons is the Berdan II rifle chambered in the 7.62x54R. while they don't have horses they do have dirt bikes and so start looking for a place to hide because they can cut you down with their swords or impale you with a lance.
They are led by a man named the "Royal King"
Old War Armies
It seems the memory of the 1st Old War (World War 1) hasn't left many so donning uniforms and old helmets such as the Brodie, Adrian, and M16 Stahlhelm from this war the men and women joined up and headed towards the front to keep the flame of this war from burning out. Makeshift trenches, roadblocks, and military-like outposts and bases are enough to tell newbies to know they are in No-Man's-Land. Because of their fighting tactics, they make good use of machine guns, SMGs, shotguns, Assault rifles, trench weapons, and chemical weapons among their arsenal they make good use of mortars although while they do have a few artillery guns these are in short supply and so most of them are stationed near their headquarters or places where they have the advantage over their opponents. Unlike the other 3 factions, they have a decent size fleet of makeshift armor cars equipped with machine guns and armored trolleys taking on the appearance of a Panzer V albeit equipped with a Heavy machine gun.
They are led by a guy named "Frontline officer"
Be wary as any newcomers are forced into 1 of the 4 factions or are killed outright however people aren't the only things that want to kill underground something lurks in the dark cramp interiors of the sewers.
The Rusty Savannah Dumping Grounds- Very High-Risk area
In the Very High-Risk parts of the southern sector of the DMZ lies the dumping ground of various rusting husks of vehicles, machinery, and scrap metal down here the environment is hell with zero access to water, hot temperatures during the day, and hypothermia temperatures at night however the environment isn't the only thing that will want to kill you. resembling a human from distance the fuglies are bipedal mutants with pale, dirty skin and no body hair they bear some similarities to the behavior of primates such as using debris as thrown weapons how they came to be is the result of intensive exposure to DMR-51 careful as depending on the environment they can blend in with the surroundings or play dead. Due to the lack of water, which is far from the Farmer's Market resulted in scarce resources ranging from manpower, weapons, ammo, fuel, food, and most importantly water because of this the bandits run rampant stealing and fighting another for high importance areas. A few scouts from the Market have reported that bandits are experimenting with extracting water through gruesome means from dead corpses.
If you planned on going to these places make sure to be stocked up on supplies as the Junkyard is unforgiven and any mistakes will end up costing your life.
