The first national elections after the civil war of the Visegrad Empire recently ended, which during their development, marked a period of isolationism of the Empire itself, which wanted to avoid external interference in the internal affairs of Visegrad, in any case , the elections have just ended, this time under close surveillance by the imperial police, to avoid fraud.
the elections, characterized by the hammering propaganda of the Socialist Party, the only political faction to emerge strengthened from the civil war, which through posters, television, radio and other means.
The elections lasted three days, amid protests, chaos and even an attempted march on Prague by far-right groups, but was crushed by the police, who arrested up to 200 militants of the far-right pro-fascist.
Despite the difficulties, the elections took place anyway, and ended just a day ago and a few hours ago and the announced results did not leave any surprises: the socialist party dominates the parliament with 55% of the seats available, followed by the monarchist party which leads the opposition with 30% of the seats, and with the other parties sharing the remaining 15%.
The socialist victory gave rise to the first left government of the Visegrad Empire, with Arzu Çelik being appointed by Prince Albert of Savoy (the Emperor is seriously ill and unable to perform his duties) Prime Minister of the Visegrad Empire , the first woman to fill this role.
The first proposal of the newly elected Prime Minister to the Imperial Parliament is a security decree to exclude the far right from running for parliament, a proposal approved by 60% of the deputies in parliament, which has officially made it a national law applied both to the federated kingdoms. and in the Democratic Republic of Transylvania, the socialist federated state created after the civil war, whose role as president remains vacant.
In any case, the new government promises to begin the reconstruction of the cities most devastated by the civil conflict right away, with Prime Minister Çelik telling the press: "in parliament we are working to create a commission for the reconstruction of the nation, we are even considering starting to rebuild from scratch cities such as Krakow and Bratislava, which were badly damaged in the recent conflict, there will be a slight increase in taxes, however I have already proposed that these expenses should be paid largely by the nobles, who in this way prove to be useful to society and not just early retirees who take a salary without doing anything while the average citizen has to work for a salary in many cases meager, the same thing should be done by the owners of the arms industries, who continue to push for an aggressive foreign policy against the interests of the Visegradian people, this is unacceptable, I have already presented such problems in parliament and we are asking arms manufacturers to invest part of their earnings in reconstruction, otherwise, expropriations could start to their detriment if they refuse to pay the new taxes "
