Yesterday, many citizens of Rio de el Oro woke up to the chirps of birds outside their windows. Some woke to their children jumping on their bed, forcing them to get up and get ready for the rest of the day. Many Oroans got ready to go to work, making coffee and getting dressed. But once they turned on their TV's they would open their eyes in horror of what they saw. On yesterday's fateful morning, over 8,000 soldiers marching into the capitol streets. That morning, General Alejandro Pizzaro, commander of the RDEO Military moved troops into major cities and sent the 3rd and 6th Infantry Brigade entered the capitol and arrested many of the legislators in their homes. They also arrested President Alejandro de La Cruz and Vice President Pablo Gomez.

The General then went and forced the cable news to be present at his speech to televise to the citizens of RDEO. The speech as been transcribed here.

"Good Morning, citizens of Rio de el Oro. Today is a truly glorious day for the Republic since it's founding from the Spanish. For today, the people's voice's has been heard. No longer will we have corrupt politicians deciding our lives. No longer will we have those globalist scum sell our nation out to the machinations of our enemies. For today, we the people have taken back our nation.

News clearly travels fast, as soon Laura Ortiz offers a televised response, directly to Rio de el Oro, practically praising the (bloodless) coup. If it could be called that.

It is indeed a good day to be alive, to see that the people have won over against the tyranny of the supposed "ballot" and "balanced powers" of a corrupt, rotting husk of a government. However, I implore that further action must be taken. Given the failure of democracy, why not install a Junta instead? You are only partway there, all you'd need to do next is allow the military to take over the system and reshape it in your favor! In fact, Gonswanza is willing to aid in the matter, sending over Peacekeepers to assist in handling lower security details and depressing likely revolts. Beyond this, however, we are listening! We will send what you need of us! Even if the people may despise us, we would rather form a bond than to be seen as a paper tiger, laying idly as countries well within reach turn over and fall into disrepair thanks to a failure of a system. This is why democracy seldom works, after all. Yes, I said it. Democracy and democratic systems are a blatant failure. The future is not with them, but rather, in a more streamlined order of rule, without the plucky madness of counting votes and relying on metaphorical checks that remain hypothetical as certain branches suddenly rise in power and corruption. Ask and ye shall receive. 300 peacekeepers shall arrive soon via airlift, with some officers to keep them in check. Don't mind their mess of gear, given it's almost entirely surplus. Adding to that, they will also be given a few logistics vehicles as well, with further support planned for the future. Of course, that meant moving a whole lot of people rather quickly, which was done via the air. Peacekeepers are loaded up, with their gear, into passenger airlines, to be flown over as heavy-lift vehicles (like the AN-22M and IL-76MD-90A) are used to carry GRS-121 and GRS-121S vehicles along with some smaller APCs to aid with patrols. While it was clearly not supporting a democratic maneuver, Gonswanza's views on global affairs have begun to change, mostly to suit Laura Ortiz's own views. Parliament has also shifted in her favor, now, with demands to further support the growing dictatorship, perhaps even to the extent of establishing an embassy there to further influence the political situation. Whether or not it will lead to an unstable country has yet to be seen, but so far, with the silent coup executed successfully, it seems that stability will be kept. For now.

While the situation in Acornesia was never meant to be the catalyst for ascension it had inadvertently ended up being one. High ranking members of the Cult were preparing to leave this world behind. Rituals were conducted and belongings packed. All that remained was to give the order.

Divouga, Guadalupador- The Ministry of Defense announced this morning that a withdraw of the Guadalupadorian Peacekeeping Mission: Acornesia has been completed late last night, and the troops are headed back to Guadalupador. "With the change in the security situation within Acornesia and GENA's withdraw from the treaty buffer-zone, The Defense Ministry has deemed it necessary to end the Peacekeeping Mission in Acornesia effective immediately. Our operational mission has been complete, and on the whole, it was considered a success on our end. It is unfortunate that the peacekeeping force couldn't stay longer to further aid the people of Acornesia, but the irresponsible withdraw of several Treaty-bound states deteriorated the situation and would've put our troops in harm's way. We did not take this decision lightly, but we feel that it was indeed the right one." Minister of Defense Reimont Phayes announced at this morning's press briefing.
The Minister of Defense also announced this morning that the Federal Army's 2nd Airborne Division would soon deploy on a training mission with fellow International Freedom Coalition states in New Gazi, a country in the far-off continent of Africa. The 2nd Airborne Division will be joining the New Roman Imperium's along with the host state's military forces in exercises meant to utilize defensive tactic and serve as a deterrent to CIS states. An anonymous source from the Ministry of Defense divulged that the 2nd Airborne Division would not be the only Federal Army division to be deployed to New Gazi, but the first of several military formations to be deployed in the near future.

Vannish Emperor Gives Fiery Speech

Emperor Helios Vang gave a rare speech outside of the Royal Imperial Palace in New Emeros. His tone of voice was hostile and aggressive. Dressed in a suit of all charcoal gray pieces, the man crafted of dark mahogany repeatedly smashed his fist against a wooden podium.

“It is with no regret that I must prepare the Vangazi people for a new world of harsh reality”, the Emperor started. “We have an amazing quality of life in Vangaziland. From sports to music and food. We have one of the highest quality of life among the multiverse.. By any metric.”

He pointed, large gemstone ring adorning his finger. “But we Vangazi are all soldier citizens. You and I.”

“The conscript policy has been canceled only a few short years ago”, Emperor Helios continued. “But the mentality remains. Citizens. Soldiers. The time for Vannish isolationism is over. We cannot sit by while wretched fascist scum throws their paltry weight around.”

The Emperor shouted, voice echoing down over the packed crowd. Throughout his next sentences, he constantly pounded on the podium in front of him. “We will burn them in their trenches, we will level their bunkers down into the earth, we will send their ships to the ocean’s icy depths. We will not stand by!”

The crowd of tens of thousands erupted while the Emperor paused.

Television networks around the Vannish Empire broadcast the message from Wrexwic to New Gazi. From Asia’s Tainese Isles to the Svennish Isles of the Caribbean. From the Vangaziland’s Mainland to Esportivan Vangaziland. This marked the start of a new era.

Meanwhile more Vannish deployments to Africa were announced. The Air Force had not released total numbers of aircraft previously. It turns out they are sending around 30 Erelo stealth bombers, 15 B-52 bombers, 50 YF-23 fighters, 15 A-210 Robohog attack aircraft, a dozen other armed drones and multiple smaller drones to conduct surveillance. There are also expected to be numerous refueling, transport and electronic warfare aircraft.

The Vannish Air Force is also deploying Missile Corps assets. This includes Air Defense Artillery on both the strategic and tactical levels. They will join a well entrenched anti-aircraft system domestically deployed by New Gazi’s own military.

The Missile Corps will also employ at least 16 SS-27 Topol-B launchers. Vannish engineers have been rumored to be in the midst of constructing ICBM silos across their African protectorate. These provide a strategic asset of long range cruise missiles in addition to Army brigade organic indirect fire assets.

The Emperor’s speech comes alongside wargames in progress alongside the IFC in Africa. A heavy Vannish naval presence is also likely to be announced soon.
