A Zarnicovian terrorist attempted to shoot the king screaming “You killed my friend, my brothers and sisters and my dad. Now time for your family to feel the pain of Novia. Time to d-“ he failed. Fatality shooting 2 guards however the quick arrival of medics would most likely save their lives. The terrorist was killed on the spot with a Glock-19 pistol.

This terrorist attack didn't have much of an effect on Hrach's plans; but he DID visit the two wounded guards before he set off for Janpia. They were both awarded honours, and their families compensated. When journalists from Armenia News approached His Majesty for comments, he responded:

"These attacks prove, without doubt, the sheer brutality of pro-AZNUP forces in Zarnicovia Nova...and more or less their willingness to murder those whom simply wish to spread democracy and peace in these shady times. I call upon ALL to denounce such heinous groups; lest they gain prominence not just in their countries, but worldwide. I also implore each and every single one of you - whether friend or foe, to keep an eye open for these despicable people. "

This statement tho effective at gaining Armenian support, was also very effective at loosing Zarnicovian Novan support. AZNUP used it in an effective fearmongering campaign however countered by Mayfield who also used it gain himself support. In all; AZNUP not the republic gained any net support however, Armenians became far more unpopular.

The propaganda was that this was hypocrisy. As the only thing the Zarnicovian Novans knew from Armenia and the IHC was blood, betrayal, subjugation and war. Along with that the terrorist’s identity was found and what he said came to be true. RNG forces had fired and killed his 2 sisters. His friend was killed in an gunfight with the RNG and his father was killed in a gunfight with Armenian troops. With the few who still had internet going onto social media and demanding the king admit and acknowledge the pain which led the man to do the act and his nation’s roll in that at least.

Fort Kalinka prepares for King Hrach I.

After an announcement from His Majesty's government, King Hrach I is scheduled to meet with the People's Marshal to discuss various topics, such as the current rivalry between KTO and GENA, Zarnicovian Novan occupation, and relations between the Armenian Government and the Party. A state visit to the historic Fort Kalinka, the center of the party, has been arranged for his state visit. Kalingrad City Planning Committee has also laid down the convoy routes from the airport towards Fort Kalinka, the hotel, and other notable places, along with adding possible road blockade locations and logistics for the state visit. 

However, the short notice of the said state visit has prompted some members of the Union of Party Members Committee (UPMC) to voice their negative concerns about it. Some members agreed that allowing a monarch to enter the place of the proletariats is preposterous. Others stated that the People's Marshal should not allow someone whose interests and intent goes against Janpian or KTO ideals or interests.

"As our ideals state, monarchies are a parasitic class that benefits from the lower or working class, often the head of the state. There's a reason why we tagged all monarchies as enemies of the revolution" - UPMC member, Representative of the Uyuransk Kolshaks Union

Meanwhile, other members of the UPMC has stated that this may be a welcoming development, or perhaps a new era of cooperation between the 2 states. King Hrach is expected to arrive later at Kalingrad Union International Airport, and will receive Armenian Diplomats, followed up by an inspection of the Fort Kalinka Raven Guards Unit.

A Prominent Communist named Vicente Stark in the Krieg-controlled Libya has been found dead, two miles south of the Gulf of Sidra. Krieg has declared it a suicide, though the man was found dead via 2 bullets to the back of the head, and shrapnel like he had been thrown on a landmine. The man had been advocating for rebellion against Krieg, with his supporters starting to go missing, never to be seen again. Boats have been spotted sailing, coming back with no passengers. Krieg has denied all allegations that they have been murdering dissidents, as executions resumed.

Pro-GCN Journalist Released and Elections Scheduled For Tomorrow

In a shocking and extremely controversial move the Blue Bolt government has decided to release pro-GCN journalist Hank Mark. Hank was convicted by the previous government for “domestic terrorism” and “attempted riot incitement.” He has known for his anti-KTO pro-GCN writings with his newspaper “Stormstriker.” He was a very hated figure coming from an ethnically SM city an born to colonizer parents. He was only arrested after he began criticizing the government for its lack of democracy and calling the annexation of NATO justified. While he walks free there is still over 5,000 pro-GCN journalists still locked up in multiple political prisons.

Meanwhile the Blue Bolt seems to be making good on its promises and is preparing for elections tomorrow. Parties and candidates are already available to the public however due to the fragility of the situation we are not allowed to discuss it until elections.

Bronze-age Nihon, Goryean settlement and relations ; a historian's attempt at unbiased overview

Japan had diplomatic, military and trading ties to the Korean peninsula for some centuries, cooperating relatively peacefully with the local ruling powers. It is thought by many that the natives were treated somewhat as hosts, as opposed to a common trend in colonialism where total displacement/dominance by foreign settlers.

*Japan and Nihon are used interchangeably, self identification vs outside source naming creating a gap in language between sources.*

Later influential European powers would support a critical view of the early settlement of the Ulsan area by Nihonji migrants during Nihon's bronze age as a form of colonialism. Japanese settled into the the area, intermixing and cohabitating with the already present 'Korean' neighbors.

There is heavy debate among historical forums, pro Western civilization supporters calling Nihon hypocritical for its frequent denouncement of European expansion.

Defenders of the Japanese Empire controversially are critical of this view, citing the lack of elements such as slavery or overt genocide making the equating of the two forms of expansion an innacurate accusation.

Imperial Nihon utilized a policy of vigilance in the region for territorial security purposes. On a couple of occasions, namely the Korean 3 kingdoms period, it (controversially) cultivated relations with multiple rival Korean powers. More on this particular set of relations will be discussed in a later article.


Sino-Japanese relations, mandate of heaven, trade

*Sinitic or Sino is in reference to the broad concept of 'Chinese' civilizations in the western understanding.'*

Much to the chagrin/bewilderment of all involved, it also attempted to cultivate relations with China, generally whichever power held sway in the north. There were however, some moments of rather unpleasant diplomatic incidents over the centuries.

The Chinese worldview preferred to see Chinese society as the most superior and all others as subservient to it. Nihon has traditionally been at odds with this hypothesis, challenging it early on and creating something of a sore spot for several succeeding Sinitic dynasties.

Japanese economic and diplomatic players resisted the attitude of inferiority expected of them in dealings with Chinese Imperial authorities, causing ire and threats of war/executions of offending Nihonji parties in regards to relations with some earlier powers such as the Zhou, Qin and Han.

Relations with Korea were strained as well, despite Korean benefits from their unofficial middleman status between the two societies. Korea was forced to walk a thin line between the lucrative trade made from being a source of Japanese access to Chinese goods, and being seen as insubordinate by their proud Chinese suzerains.

Chinese powers, somewhat correctly, saw Koreans trading independently with Nihon (who refused to act as a tributary state or behave subserviently) almost like a form of smuggling. Korea, while still performing the expected customs and paying regular tribute to China, chose to trade with a state that seemingly challenged the rule of authority of the Emperor.

In China's eyes, The Emperor and by extension China, was the rightful ruling power over all of the world. This caused strained relations between Korea and China, threats being made and letters of outrage were sent by the Chinese Emperor. Korean and Nihonji relations also were strained as a result.


Chinese warring states diplomacy, mercenary incidents

*Goryea is Korea are identical in nature Nihonji in reference 'Japan' in English, 'Zapan' in Portuguese, and the earlier fabled 'Zippangu'*

Another point of criticism levied at Japan by it's Western biased detractors is the notable deployment of mercenary forces in China and elsewhere. A relatively peaceful Japanese mainland provided a surplus of military boredom among the population.

The Emperors and government at large was unwilling to entangle the nation in colonialism (as is popularly known today at least). The risk of reprisals, lives lost and diplomatic/public perceptions causing repercussions kept Nihon historically peaceful, some posit.

(Whether there was any actual morality or principle involved in these trends is a subject of murkier debate). Historically, Japan had stayed neutral in squabbles between neighboring kingdoms. Trade with China is seen as the catalyst for a shift in Imperial policy. The use of Korea as a mediator party for trade with China was a seen as limiting and sub-obtimal.

An exception to the status quo occurred during the Chinese spring and autumn period when multiple competing warlords ruled independently of any centralized governance. Direct trade with Japan was grudgingly tolerated. With so many competing factions, Japan arguing to the warlords that the mandate of heaven could not be claimed just yet.

In a move that was criticized by various Sinitic parties, Japonic powers manipulated the warlords into bidding for Nihon's favor. When trade as equals was offered to competing states and was subsequently rebuffed, the Japanese parties threatened to instead curry favor with whatever faction an individual state was being challenged by.

The Chinese warring states period saw similar negotiations take place, this time with the use of mercenary forces as bargaining chips as well. Of note was an incident involving uncharacteristic acts of brutality and pillaging of civilians by a 'rogue' Nihonji mercenary guild. Government officials scrambled to disavow these action, diplomatic navigating occured to rectify the situation.

Maneuvering carefully through local customs, Nihonji authorities arranged to recall the mercenaries to Nihon and to rectify relations with local authorities via restitutions. The mercenary company was set upon by a rival mercenary company granted temporary official Imperial authority to dislodge the merc captain and his coconspirators, they having refused the summons to return to Nihon.

In cooperation with Chinese parties involved, the offending rogue faction members were brought in mostly alive and charged, tried and found guilty. The mercenaries had turned on each other during investigations and witnesses were brought forward.

This included members of the offending mercenary company who had complied with the royal summons and some who had even refused the initial orders by the captain to engage in the offending acts afformentioned.

The guilty were given lengthy prison sentences and forced to work without pay in a penal colony, their wages garnished til they could accumulate the money agreed upon to repay the injured parties.

Chinese authorities wanted to try them under local customs and were more than a little miffed at the light punishment the offenders received (in their view), Nihon was criticized for seemingly rescuing international criminals and subverting the Chinese justice system.

Promises and scandals, what to know about the current election

During a conference between Egyesít Lato, Sasha Halász, and Andreas Ai-Zawsze each voiced their opinions on what they will do when they are elected as Marshall. Egyesít Lato voiced his concerns about the current tension between GENA and KTO. He did say it has gotten better but he himself said that"KTO time and time again has shown hypocrisy and shown that peace talks may have been a great step but KTO still continues to show hostilities towards other nations and alliances. That said if I were elected I would like to secede from KTO and possibly move to another alliance" after this statement he has been criticized for having no loyalty towards the KTO, something the KUN has valued when first joining KTO. Sasha Halász on the other hand has stated her support for KTO and especially for communist country of Janpia"KTO has not been a problem for us whatsoever. GENA being created now means we need to be strict towards them, not try to give into their demands like we have been. Speaking of giving into demands is the monarchy needs to be taken care of, for far too long they have shown their true colors and their agendas during the Imperial Republic period and that is why they need to go. You want to talk about getting rid of the bureaucrats in Varosa then start with the root of the problem, that problem being the monarchs'' this would seem like Halász is trying to gain the votes pro-republicans in the KUN in the hopes of winning the election. Lato however has voiced his support in keeping the monarchy saying that loyalty to monarchy is more important than loyalty to any corrupt alliance. Andreas Ai-Zawsze however remarked that"the experience in the military has shown that being part of any alliance has been nothing more than a waste of time for us as we have lost money but most importantly lives to pointless fighting like in the Galapagos. That is why we need to secede and leave the alliances all together and let the KUN continue to thrive on its own" Ai-Zawsze has gained little support from this however, with people from both sides seeing not only his very much radical policies but also his opinion on isolationism in general, people have shown little support towards his policies. Now you might be wondering however, what about Kurt von Archtin? He recently has been caught in a scandal involving him helping the mafia in Hanover not only smuggle alcohol which is very illegal in the KUN but also money laundering. He was arrested in his residents in Hanover Monday and he would be under investigation where he was found having files of information that pointed to him helping the mafia with smuggling and other things of those sort, even going as far as letting some off the hook for crimes. He has been forced out of the election as a result and is supposed to stand trial next week on Thursday.

Federation Plan passes Parliament 388-212

Munich- About half an hour ago, the final votes for the Federation Plan, a bundle of three constitutional amendments, was passed with a 65% majority. 5 parties voted yes, and three voted no. The aye votes were from the Social Democratic Party, United Democratic Party, Green Party, Communist Party, and Liberty Party.

Immediately after the vote, the Chancellor addressed the Parliament. He proclaimed the vote as a “great victory for the nation,” that will “allow for greater representation for Trenaka’s regional minorities.” He also expressed his support for Trenaka’s African Staatsprotektorats to become Federal States sometime in the future.

Preparations
As the King of Armenia flies to Kalingrad, the Kalingrad City Planning Committee then ordered road blocks to give way to the King. Buildings along the route were also cleared for protection, and Public Marshals on their horses were put around for patrol. The hotel where King Hrach will stay has been chosen. As such, patrols were frequent in the area. A few Fort Kalinka honor guards were also dispatched for his arrival at the airport, just in time to prepare the red carpet, and the King's inspection of the said honor guards.

Armed with a Knight's SR-25, two pouches of ammo, a Glock 19, a suicide pill for worst case scenario, and some Zarconian produced cigars he took his position on the top of a building overlooking the kings route. When it came time to flee he would make his way out of a fire escape on the back of the building, leaving behind the cigars as a trace to ZN nationalist groups. From there he would get on a motorcycle with a driver only known as “Woke” and then get to the Kalingrad airport to get back to the Galapagos hopefully in one peace.

ZN-made dirty bombs, intended to frame fringe groups from said country are pulled along, as the men appeared to be tourists from Zarnicovia Nova. However, their mission was simple. Add to the impact of the assassination, perhaps even make it a failed attempt, while leaving a gaping wound as well. A reason for war.

The agents take their positions, setting up the devices and waiting for the perfect time to plant them, though there were alternate plans in case local security manages to screw their plans of adding collateral to the greater scheme. A necessary sacrifice, of course.

But these "civvies" were also armed with ANZUP guns, bearing ANZUP markings, with ANZUP ammo. A necessary device, though some were planted in blatant locations for an intended mass shooting scenario, aside from the dirty bombs which have yet to be set.

His Majesty arrived in Kalingrad City at approximately 1:54 P.M. (UTC+4); disembarking the royal jet alongside his family. The sights of the city weren't too surprising - having that blend of old and new architecture not too unlike Moscow; of which he had visited little more than a year prior. Upon meeting the Janpian honour guard, he did his routine; salute and inspect. Some of them were very clearly distinguished, awards pinned to their chests. He nodded in approval, a grin on his face. So, these people weren't as barbaric as some may've thought.

He entered a plain-white vehicle; the Armenian flag on its hood and a plethora of cigarettes in its glovebox (smoking Twas the king's favourite pastime, after all). He sent his family to the hotel, accompanied by some of the Janpians' honour guard as he set off to Kalingrad Fortress; the "main attraction" per se.

Imperion Coalition Agrees To "Amicable Relationship" With "Global Entente of Nations & Alliances" In Bid For "Mutual Understanding."

In a developing story breaking headlines today, the Imperion Coalition has announced that the Coalition has reached "formal, amicable terms" with the "Global Entente of Nations & Alliances." Released by the Coalition's Press Agency during its weekly press briefing, Press Chief Heinrich Schüttmann delivered news of the diplomatic outreach on Thursday morning stating the Imperial Marshal (HRIM Emperor JC) had personally directed TECT's Representative to the Coalition, Rep. Kevin Mayer, to deliver proposed terms to GENA leadership. "Today, it is my honor to announce the successful conclusion to diplomatic talks with the Global Entente of Nations & Alliances in the effort to establish formal, amicable terms to a brand new relationship between our two international organizations." This news comes as rumors concerning Imperion Coalition Foreign Legion structure expansion paired with speculated aggressive foreign affairs initiatives reach the ears of journalists within Coalition member nations.

"It's certainly news worthy." says Engel Behrend, Royal News' Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent. Mr. Behrend notes the significance of the Coalition's announcement by comparing the two organizations and their ideals. "It isn't rare to see the Coalition reach out to less despised actors in the international scene. Under the Sovereign Empires Coalition, there were many non-monarchist/imperial entities the Coalition worked with to achieve mutual defense. The same can be said under Imperion's 1st Coalition where our Empire, serving as Economics Marshal at the time, paved the way for non-members to economically work with Coalition members with relative ease. What one should note is that these relationships were based on mutual, or Coalition, profit. Each era of the Coalition had its reasons, but profiting from the other was the goal in each occasion." When asked if that meant Imperion today is attempting to reach the same conclusions as its predecessors, the answer was "Absolutely." "One must note that under His Majesty, the third generation Coalition leader and second Imperial Marshal, the Imperion Coalition evolved away from simply being a military focused alliance. Under his watch, the Coalition expanded politically and economically to the sheer benefit of members thus far. Yet his foreign policy has been remarkably less openly aggressive when compared to his predecessors. Today's news of the an 'amicable relationship' to me means that the Coalition could be probing while simultaneously avoiding wasteful conflicts. To the Coalition, GENA is new, it's unstable in my opinion, and largely has little moral authority given its hypocritical actions contrary to its core beliefs. There's no serious reason the Coalition needs to talk with such an entity and the same can be said with GENA too, especially when the two are unlikely to ever approach one another of their own accord peacefully. A monarchist, imperialist alliance with traditional core beliefs does not simply mingle well with a superinternational organization like GENA who's core ideals speak of democracy. We may never know, or at least wont for some time, but if I were a fly on the wall of whatever meeting room the Marshals privately discuss matters in, I would probably be witness to their plans on how to take advantage of perceived weaker opponents like GENA. From where im sitting, Imperion could take advantage of GENA from a number of ways. Economically, the Coalition's Trade Bloc is older and more established, but it could also be used to trade with GENA's newer Bloc. Whether they want the terms to be fair, or not. Diplomatically there could be a number of backroom, under the table style deals at play we simply will never hear about. Militarily... well, it's an improvement to simply not being stuck in an active conflict when you can help it. We just simply don't know at this point in time if there are other factors to this deal, or if future deals will be struck."

Formerly the Global Confederation of Nations, the Global Entente of Nations & Alliances is a superinternational body of nations and international organizations with the aim to become a replacement to the World Assembly on the international stage. While democratically aligned, Royal News' research into the new organization brought up controversial actions by the organization and legitimate criticisms that state GENA is more heavily focused on imperialist goals as evident by its numerous offensive wars that typically turn extremely bloody followed by perpetual nation building and military occupations. Imperion, for its part, is a coalition of monarchist/imperialist nations dedicated to a set of core beliefs and traditional ways, but most importantly, the defense of their traditional governing structures internationally by any means necessary. The Coalition is not shy to its own bloody wars and conquests, which it notes as both necessary and just, but it does so openly and without hesitation. On paper the two organizations are totally polar opposites, but when looked at closer, there's more familiarity than expected. With today's announcement, we learned that the Coalition approached and had their agreement ratified with the GCN just prior to their rebranding as GENA. Coalition authorities decided now to release news of the existence of the agreement and its details after GENA unanimously approved to continue honoring the agreement, according to Imperion officials. Details of the agreement included the creation of a Representative led committee dubbed the "GENA Committee" within Imperion which would act as first contact for GENA authorities and act as Imperion's internal deliberation body concerning GENA related topics; this committee will rest under the Foreign Affairs Marshal's authority but still take part as an official Assembly Committee. It was aid that the Coalition suggested GENA enact the same procedure on its end. Second, the Coalition and GENA established official lines of communication for emergency uses only. Notably referred to as deescalation lines, these lines of communication act as a backup in case official public means of communication break down diplomatically. Lastly, Coalition authorities also stated the agreement opened the door to exchanging diplomatic staff once diplomatic immunities were agreed upon. There is no word when or if staff will be exchanged, but the door at the very least is now open to it. There was no talk of other terms to the agreement and questions relating to other planned future topics such as trade talks were answered with a firm "No. Not at this time."

Colonel Friedrich Jurten has determined it necessary to continue expansion in the name of the Emperor. Guardsmen were gathering at the border of the Western Sahara in Africa, with the forces in China gathering at the Vietnamese borders. A plan was made to eventually attack Switzerland via air. As Krieg didn't know how difficult it was to invade the Swiss, they assumed it would be a walk in the park. Krieg immediately began to prepare the Elysian Drop Troops.

Munschen River name change proposal

The Munschen River is a well known symbol of Janpia, owing to its rich history, attributes, and its role for the Janpian people. Throughout its history, the Munschen River is the artery of trade between major Janpian cities and towns, and also the center source for irrigation or water. It is also the baseline border for the Janoschpe Empire, and Alergastadt Kingdom, along with being a natural line of defense, as Fort Kalinka establishes along its banks. Its original name is Hansin River, which literally mean "There's trade", before being changed by foreign colonizers as Munschen, named after a foreign cartographer. Munschen River has also seen a lot of development, such as the economic rise of Janpia, now known as "the Miracle of the Munschen River"

Although that's a millenium ago, some people of the Union of Party Members Committee (UPMC), voiced out their concerns of changing back the river's original name to Hansin, as a sign of removing foreign influence on Janpia. Other people who supported this, stated that the major iconic Janpian river, should name it based on Janpian language. However, some members disagree with the proposal, saying that it will take a lot of supplies and time, before maps bearing its name disappears. Some stated that it will take time for the international community to accept or normalize it. Noting the historical importance of the river, some stated that Munschen River is better off with its name, since it provides people a glimpse of what colonialism can do. Others Union Representatives stated that it will take a lot if resources and time to change their map database, online archives, and physical signs to change it. A Revolutionary attending the session stated that the Military would have to adapt by changing its military codes, if the name ever changes from Munschen River to Hansin River.

Chamber Minister Skinner today signed the South Olpen Success Bill. After his championship of the bill, the Senate approved it at a break-neck 4 weeks after introduction. The bill is said to support small businesses, especially in their initial years and rough times. A representative of MoC Skinner said, "The Chamber Minister and the LibComs are excited at the abilities for economic growth and wealth now in the hands of the worker."
The Bill creates the State Success Fund, a new bureau in charge of giving grants to small businesses around South Olpen. They have been given 254 billion Bucks, 236.38 NSD, to give grants to companies for reaching specific goals as well as making certain promises, such as after they have employed 10 people or when they make a deadline to go carbon-positive. The Fund will also be in charge of finding g unlawful practices, such as price gouging, against large companies.
The Chamber Minister's Office has said they will try to appoint Florian Landry as the Chief Executive Officer of the State Success Fund. A former Secretary of Yetina Island, he is known for small business protection and economic growth in his Province. He had a mild scandal 2 years ago regarding suspected embezzlement, and although found innocent, many in the LibComs doubt the Chamber Minister's judgment. That said, the appointment is likely to be completed by the Senate.
The bill will likely cost 3.4 billion dollars over the first 2 years. Economists predict it could boost the average income of the Olpenese by as much as 27%. This is one of many initiatives to grow the Olpenese economy in the wake of a larger wave of isolationism. The Conservative Democrats and other conservatives support the bill, citing that it still protects the entrepreneurial spirit.

Chamber Minister Neuville's condition, Smithson's disease, that caused him to resign two months ago has gotten worse, his doctor warns. His physician, Dr. Ernestson, believes he would be "lucky to live for another 2 years." He stated that he will likely live for another 1 year and 4 months. There is no cure for Smithson's, so he will likely die.
Chamber Minister Skinner has said the government will aid him. This is controversial as he is a recipient of the Ministerial Pension, and has been allowed to continue using the government health system. He is also a recipient of the standard Olpenese Health Agency. Many see this as biased and overkill, believing that too much emphasis is being placed on CHamber Minister Neuville when millions of other Olpenese suffer from the disease.
On social media, many Olpenese and Mereticans have expressed their condolences. Reminiscent of the death of Chamber Minister Sorit, many are posting condolences and retweeting popular hashtags from the former Chamber Minister.

While the bomb failed to take down the hotel itself, the fireball did reach outside, blowing out the windows and part of the exterior, only for a new threat to arise in the wake of the explosion.

The Gonswanzan embassy declares a total lockdown as a security measure, in accordance with the news of the terror attack, with all staff being withdrawn promptly and quietly from an otherwise calm day out in Darlinburg City. Laura Ortiz is later contacted, as the wheels are set in motion.

However, it seems that Corpse Command once again had done its job. The dirty bomb placed in the hotel went off without a hitch, along with the added fears of more ANZUK agents hopefully gripping Japania, giving the illusion of a nation under attack. The intent, after all, was to spread fear.

Any who resisted violently would allow for Mayfield’s men to justify more arrests. His possible political enemies he got AZNUP to kill in responsive terrorist attacks. AZNUP forces successfully retook Hallin city ending Zarnicovian Spring. Armenia had won complete loyalty of their puppets and complete authority for them too. AZNUP attacks were significantly reduced, but also democracy. The only opposition to Mayfield was AZNUP. The only opposition to AZNUP was Mayfield. Further purges in the Republican National Guard of traitors would also occur. These also decreasing desertions and defections.

Yesterday, during a scheduled meeting to Janpia's capital city of Kalingrad (of which was the first time an Armenian sovereign had done so), His Majesty, Hrach I of Armenia; was fatally shot and wounded by perpetrators still unknown. Despite the best efforts of Janpia's best surgeons - the king was proclaimed deceased after he remained in critical condition for most of last night. His eldest son and heir, His Majesty Prince Gdridg; was not present at the time, dealing with diplomatic efforts in Yerevan.

His family, in the midst of the ongoing chaos in the streets; was safely escorted back to the royal jet and flown back to Armenia; His Majesty's corpse remaining under the watchful guise of Major General Sergey Akimov; head of the king's security detail, and a small contingent of Janpia troops. The body is expected to be returned home in the coming days as the general and his troops aid in the investigation - kept stored in optimal conditions to prevent any decomposition.

This officially marks the end of his fifty-four year-long-reign; the fifty-fifth year to come on the twenty-third of June. As per tradition; flags are to be flown at half-mast for the remainder of the month, and the royal banner to be changed. His Majesty, Prince Gdridg (soon to be King Gdridg II); was interviewed by journalists from Armenia News. He said the following:

The president of Zarnicovian Nova; Mayfield arrived in Armenia for the first time and he hoped last time in his life. He brought many guards with him. He came to speak with both the new leadership and to show condolences for the late king.

Back in his own country protesters went about making a mockery of the king and glorifying the killer(s). However one of these protests that started in RNG controlled territory was met with a storm of bullets. 1 king and 6,000 Zarnicovian Novans fell because of that shooter. Any plans for these protests to happen in RNG territory following the massacre were abandoned.
