Oh and did I tell you that in the original canon of K-113 it has been sitting for 70 years finished but unlaunched not because of being too cruel but because of it’s constantly receiving new sacrifices to strengthen it’s machine-spirit. It is basically a medium-based AI which swallows the remains of the humans, trapping their soul and essentially enslaving their brains as it’s own processing units. Those who it didn’t sacrificed it stripped of their body and turned into maintenance units because eldritch AI time.

And yes it was used as a colony ship later on and it DID sacrifice some of the colonists (mostly volunteers) to himself, let alone enslaved conscripted them to be maintenance crew. And what they did to them colonists so that they could take as many as they want… Reducing humans to ~700 grams of weight is very very hard and in most cases painful
