Incase of enemy attacks soldiers started working on an hedgehog defense tactic by digging trenches and making strongpoints throughout the area they are in they also make good use of the terrain and camouflage their positions and also knowing that air strikes are things to considered dugouts shelters made in the trenches and had positioned and camouflaged Shilkas and 9K31 BRDMs that are equipped with SAMs with them the enemy pilots will have some problems.

Private Dolner was busy zeroing a SPG- recoiled gun before helping another squad with setting and positioning an ZPU-23-2 gun into place to be used against enemy infantry. After that he was ordered to perform patrols in the area for any enemy troops and relay any information back.

The paratroopers have made their way down to the ground to many they look like the standard run of the mill paratroopers jump from a plane and pray to god you won’t get shot down while parachuting to ground however Oceanian Paratroopers were different knowing they are usually inserted behind enemy lines with with limited armor support means that they have to resort to guerrilla warfare, AT weapons, and using camouflage to hide most of the enemy will think it will be easy task to take them out however this will change their altitudes when they actually encounter them

Northern Taiwan Taipei
With strongpoints established, trenches dugged, and anti-air positioned the only thing left is artillery the problem was where to put them so scouts were sent out to survey the territory and terrain and decided to put them on hills and camouflage them when they are not in use. The guns that will be used were the 130mm M-46.

Southern Taiwan Kao-siung
Even though there wasn’t encounters with the enemy not yet though the Paratroopers are digging in by making foxholes and spider holes and taking vegetation from the environment and putting it on their gear to help blend in with the forest with reports of enemy activity within the area are trying to seek out and kill Oceania however they seemed to have problem due to tactics employed by the Oceanians

Meanwhile, the 5TH and 6TH Marine Divisions along with the 30TH Ranger Battalion make it their effort to push Oceanian troops from the Taipei area, through a siege, Air Strikes, Naval Bombardment and artillery fire are constant on the Oceanian positions.

“Enemy Aircraft incoming get to dugout boys before you get fried” an radar operator yelled before running into the dugout shelter near his station and getting on the radio “hey we need those aircraft out of the sky I repeat we need those aircraft out of the sky” the operator said into radio and with a response from the AA crews “roger buddy boy I’ll make sure to give them hell thank Am that our camouflage hid us” the operator did tuning of the radio to secured Navy Communication “Taipei to Pacific Fleet requesting naval support on our end I repeat requesting naval support over” and another voice came on “this is the pacific fleet we are routing a few ships towards you over and out”

Most troops made it to the dugouts and those were out on patrol away from the attack were spared however a few were unlucky and got burnt alive. Those in the dugouts were waiting until the flames went out

Shilkas and 9K13 BRDMs that were left untouched by the Napalm were powered on and started returning fire the Shilkas with their powerful 23mm guns and advance lock on system prevented any CAS aircraft from getting near while 9K13 BRDMs locked onto the jets and fired their SAMs off

The Navy has sent some of it ships towards the Taipei area to help take out the enemy naval and make it easier on the infantry however this will take some time due to the far distance they are from.

Relevant updates:

1. Having secured escape routes for civilians out of Downtown Taipei, the Commander of the Custodes directed two detachments towards stress signals received from Northern Taiwan Taipei and Southern Taiwan Kao-siung. The detachments are composed of 2 (two) light armored vehicles, 1 (one) rescue helicopter and 100 (a hundred) peacekeeping troops each. All equipment and personnel carry the Red Cross emblem as required by the International Conventions.

Having made their way to the aforementioned hot zones the detachments encountered resistance to their peace operations, but after intense negotiations were able to secure a small DMZ and escape routes in both sites. 4. It was brought to our attention by International Observers that weapons forbidden by International Conventions are being used in this conflict. Once the fire has got out troops got of their shelters and got to their positions in case of an enemy infantry attack while the men were preparing for another attack they were quickly replacing damage weapons with new ones and fixing up the fortifications of the area. Some medics attended to the wounded soldiers and some civilians that got caught in the crossfire

Reports from the Navy have stated that Oceanian Floating Fortresses will arrive in a few hours but could take longer to help prevent any delays jets were launched from carrier fortresses to scout out enemy ships
