After invading Denmark last month, Northumbrian forces have captured the Danish capital of Copenhagen (København, to the Danes). Alvin Ashleigh declared the city's capture "a decisive Northumbrian victory" and said that the capture of York and deaths of Ælle and Osbert in the attempt to retake that city had been avenged a thousandfold.
"We hope to show the international community the longships of mass destruction that we inv- intervened over and that we captured during the invas- intervention - despite some saying that they didn't even exist! - sometime in the New Year, " said the Northumbrian president.
"To Norwegian PM Støre: NEVER, EVER THREATEN NORTHUMBRIA AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!" tweeted Alvin Ashleigh in response to criticism from Norwegian prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre over the many civilian casualties sustained in Northumbria's capture of Copenhagen.
