The thread will be both the advancement of the story line and news updates (from anyone participating) related to Insaanistan. Try to keep the OOC chatter in here and outta the IC thread, please. Nation Name: Catholic Republic of Langenia
Brief description of nation: Langenia, officially the Catholic Republic of Langenia, is a country located primarily in northern South America. It extends from the Pacific in the west to the Atlantic in the east. It consists of many provinces, a special city (Aragon), and several overseas possessions.
Aragon is the country's capital and largest city, and other major cities include Caracas, Lima, Bogota, and Quito.

Nation Name: The Sultanate of Mosarat
Brief description of nation: An alternate reality version of Egypt were the monarchy was titled a sultanate and was never abolished.
Main Characters to be used Initially: Sultan Farhan Hashem Sultana Nevine Hashem Dr. Morrison Alton (other characters from The Jamesian Republic my main account will be used)
IC Relation to Insaanistan: Ally and the now defunct Insaani royal family is ceremonially related to the Mosaratian royal family.

Nation Name: Temporary National Government of the State of Italy/Committee for Padanian Liberation("Padanian Faction").
Brief description of nation: A provisional government established by the 'Social Welfare Agency', a charitable organized-turned-Italian nationalist group. Seceded from Insaanistan some time ago with Prussian-Polish backing. The Temporary National Government faces internal divisions, with a splinter group known as the Committee for Padanian Liberation attempting to force autonomy or independence for Northern Italy.
Main Characters to be used Initially:
- Marco and Mariana Giuseppe; Galasso and Sophia Hillshire.
- "John Doe", Chairman Alberto Passero, Patrizio
- Chief Minister Silvano Moretti

IC Relation to Insaanistan: The Padanian Faction, while not supportive of Insaanistan's old empire, has no issue with aligning itself with the 'new' Insaanistan in return for support. The Temporary National Government, on the other hand, is extremely hostile and continues to host a Prussian-Polish military presence -- especially long-ranged strike aircraft that can threaten Insaanistan's shipping lanes essentially at will.

Brief description of nation: Central European constitutional stratocratic monarchy. Heavily invested in preventing the rise of a hegemonic power in Europe or North Africa...such as a reunified Insaanistan.

- Władysław "Willie" Brzęczyszczykiewicz(CEO of BASED Inc)
- Crassus and Sophia Laurensberg von Hohenzollern-Jagiellon
- Commandant of the 1st Thaumaturgical Regimental Combat Group - Annemarie Gleich von Hohenfall.

IC Relation to Insaanistan: Some level of wariness over any future encroachment on Europe. The Prussian-Polish airbase at Taranto continues to host an element of the 4th Bomb Squadron, and it's nuclear-capable F/A-114 strike aircraft.

Brief description of nation: Various Marajarbias reunited into one, with claims to India, China, and Pakistan. The country is very focused on Naval strength

IC Relation to Insaanistan: The Marajarbian Government has worked with many Middle Eastern nations in the past, and even has mutual ties to many nations involved in the first and second war, such as Langenia and Romextly. The Marajarbian Government sees Insaanistan as a nation in need of aid after a series of major wars. This comes as the government continues to spread its influence by establishing powerful trade routes and strong alliances.

John Mikkelson: South Americanastanian reporter doing an expose on the conditions post-civil war. To do this, he has decided to ride around the country in a white, “PRESS” marked ATCV 12, with a film crew and 6 SADF soldiers as an escort.
Jack Friedman; South Americanastanian President, infamously opportunistic and could care less about the lives of actual Insaanistanis. If there’s money to be made or influence to be gained, it has the green light from him.

Nation Name: New Antartica
Brief description of nation: Antartica, a fairly large nation under the banner of communism, and the supposed blanket of "peace"

This, of course, was a lie.

over the course of several months, The People's republic of New Antartica has fought tooth and nail against the westerners for the reality of a communist foothold in Shardaristan - using the aftermath of the first sharfaristani war to their advantage, they succeeded, bit the price they paid was dear. A goverment purge, an election, and yet another set of millitary reforms later, all eyes are on the Sharfari Socalist republic, to see if this bulwark either holds.. or shatters, be it by the terrorists or the spies...

Things arent exactly calm in the Atlantic, either. Using their naval bases in Antartican colonial Territories, Mother Antartica's fleets travel far and wide, from the suez to Gibraltar. And with the Admiralty releasing proclamation that not a single Isaani soldier could step a toe out of the two waterways, this has only intensified. One may find this speech from the admiralty rightfully ridiculous, but it looks like more of a possibility by the minute. More and more soldiers and armor were in sharfaristan, after all, more ships were being made, more tanks, more everything.

And the Antartic, the water belonging to the motherland, was under the most threat, as a fleet can easily depart any port from their holdings in south africa, and She would be under assaul from a savage horde of isaanis within a matter of a day or two. But, "Let them come", the admiralty says, "our home defense fleet and reserves will tear them to shreds at the landings!"

So far as Antartica is concerned, Isaanistan and New Antartica are in the powder keg that is a cold war.

All the powder keg needed was a spark.

All South Americanastanians serve 18 months military service, so the film crew and Mikkelson himself have been given guns too.
