Buckminhum Palace, Lownfolk, United Kingdom of Galimencia6th November, 2021"Cant you understand this, damn it!" The handsome young man shouted at the security personnel who stood in front of him. Shaking with anger and almost dropping his phone, he continued speaking in a rage-filled voice:" I really do need to make this phone call and that too right now. My wife's family has been terribly affected and yet we don't know the exact situation. I need to contact them and I cant get the network inside, so I have to go outside. I have told this same fact numerous times before this, so I order you to allow me to go outside this palace."
The middle aged police constable shook his head nervously. On one hand he was specifically told by his senior officers to not allow anyone to venture out of this palace under any circumstances until he receives any further orders. On the other hand he is worried that the person who is standing in front of him was not only an influential figure but was also much taller and had a better physical built than himself and he was sure that he can easily get knocked out if this person lands a punch on him. But being the dutiful and sincere man that he was(in fact he had never taken a bribe in his entire life), John Pitt refused to let him go out. He gave a faint smile, and in an attempt to defuse the mood of this person, he said calmly: " I understand your concerns sir, but I am afraid that I just can not allow you to go outside this palace. I've received specific orders from higher authorities that I can not allow any member of the Royal Family to go outside of this particular palace."
Prince Joseph grinned his teeth. "I am a fucking Prince and also the Duke of Winconsin. Can there exist a higher authority than myself?" He knew that in fact the Royal family had very little, if no, authority in deciding what happens in this country. Seeing that it was having no effect on this particular man, Joseph decided to change tactics. "Okay, okay, let's do something else. I am giving you my mobile, now can you please call this number and speak on my behalf?" He wasn't entirely comfortable with doing this, but he had no other option.
John Pitt nervously shook his head once again, before saying: "It will be no use sir, as far as I know, this palace and it's adjacent gardens have been almost been cut off from the world and no person who is staying here can actually establish connections with the outside world, as of now.' Suddenly, a weird kind of boldness got the best of John Pitt and he started saying the following words in a strict manner: "Besides, I am forced to say this sir, all these precautions have been taken by the government for your and your family's safety sir, so it makes me wonder why you are willing to endanger yourself and your family member by refusing to follow the orders that have been issued to you by the authorities. All of us are worried about your safety sir, so it is my earnest request to not do something that has been particularly forbidden by the authorities. I understand the predicament that you are in sir, but I request you to understand the situation. Please sir, try to be rational. Besides whenever we get any new updates, we do our best to inform you." John Pitt suddenly realised that he might have gone a bit too far and stopped speaking. He was afraid that such boldness might prove to be detrimental to him and his career. With bated breath he waited to see what the Prince does next.
Prince Joseph glared at the man. He really wanted to land a punch on this man's face, but he greatly restrained himself. With burning eyes he stared at him, before turning around and loudly cursing: " Security, my arse." He then proceeded on to walk up the flight of stairs and enter his room, where his wife was sitting along with his younger sister Princess Anne. His wife, Lady Morgana, was inconsolable. From the moment she heard of the accident, she had been crying copiously, showing no signs of stopping anytime soon. Princess, with whom Morgana was very close, tried her best to restrain her but to no avail. On seeing his brother, Anne got up from the bed where she was sitting with Lady Morgana of Corrington. "Any news, brother?" she asked in a tensed voice. "None." was all Joseph could say, while slowly shaking his head in disgust. He slowly sat down in the bed and hugged Morgana, as Anne walked out of the room with a disappointed expression.
The news about the deadly explosion in Corrington, spread like wildfire in Galimencia. The authorities, fearing that a same type of incident might happen to the members of their Royal Family, decided to bring all the direct members of the Royal family from all over Lownfolk and place them in the Buckminhum Palace. The palace compartments have been secured, and all the tourists were driven away from the palace. The army has been placed on high alert for any sort of disturbance. The only member of the family who was not present was Princess Camilla and his husband, who were staying in Cotland to attend an event when this bombing took place. They are currently being brought back to Lownfolk with heavy security.

16th November, 2021"This letter looks fine." said the Prime Minister of Galimencia as he finished reading from the piece of paper that he was holding in his hands. He placed the letter in the table and looked around at the large number of people who sat around the round table. All of them were members of his Cabinet. "Lord Salsburry, I want you to deliver this letter as soon as possible" said Lord Kauvin while facing at the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lord Salsburry. The old politician nodded his head. The first letter that the Galimencian authorities had sent to the Corrish authorities were just a letter of plain condolence that required no reply. But after learning that the situation in Corrington was slowly improving, they decided that it was the best time to write this letter. In spite of knowing very well that the Prime Minister of Corirngton is in hospital, the Galimencian Minister of Foreign Affairs has purposefully decided to address it to the Prime Minister only, since it is a political letter. The letter read as follows:
From: Ministry of Foreign Affairs
To: Prime Minister Madeline Fletcher
Dear Madam
We are pleased to know that both the situation in Corrington and your health, have been improving at a rapid rate. May God bless you and Corrington. This letter is regarding something that we, in Galimencia, have been pondering for quiet a long time and we feel that this is the perfect time to ask this question outright, without further adieu. After the tragic incident that killed both the King and Queen of Corrington and which also destroyed the documents specifying who should inherit the throne next, we are forced to ask this now: Who shall be the next monarch of Corrington? This is a question that the entire world is asking at this moment, and at any rate it has an extra importance to us since one of the members of the Galimencian Royal family, His Royal Highness Prince Joseph, Duke of Winconsin, has a claim to the empty throne because of his marriage to Lady Morgana, Duchess of Winconsin of the Corrish Royal family. We apologise for acting so selfish in such dire situation, but we really do feel that we are in no position to further delay asking this urgent question. Hoping from a timely response from your end.
Thank You
Yours Truly
Herbert Ashley Williams, 1st Earl Williams of Salsburry
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Government of Galimencia
At the end of the day, after the Prime Minister had finished his discussions with his cabinet members, Lord Kauvin sat in his sofa alone as all the other ministers who visited his house had already left and his wife and his children were already asleep. It was 2 o clock in the night, and a lot of things were going on the Prime Minister's mind, all of which prevented him from falling asleep. Suddenly he remembered something extremely important. During all these chaos as to who will be the next monarch of Corrington, he seemed to have forgotten about that one person whom he had met during Prince Joseph's wedding and with whom he had subsequently grown quiet close. Lady Jeanine. Kauvin cursed loudly, before quickly taking his phone from the table. He thought for sometime as to what to do next, and then he opened Whatsapp in his phone, opened Lady Jeanine's profile and began typing. He sent her a small but significant message, which just read: "How are you doing Jeanine? Are you alright? Call me when you are free."
