We haven’t determined what caused the outbreak yet, that’s kind of what this thread is for. So far, possible culprits that have been floated in the IC are:

-Virus
-Sith magic/murakami orchid (the Star Wars book Red Harvest is recommended reading just for fun anyway, but will also explain this reference)
-Terrorist attack
-Dark matter
-If there’s something in your country that could have caused it, add that to the list

Gonswanza claims that it could be viral, given it's spread and properties... Plus the fact that there's now infected aquatic life as well. EMZ (Evil Magic Zombies) is out of the question, given the US has referred to just burning them. Vegetarian Zombies (VZ) are not at all likely, given they chase after people, not crops. Space Zombies (SZ) isn't happening, plus the origin would also indicate otherwise. Radiation Zombies (RZ), Pathogenic Zombies (PZ), Weaponized Zombies (WZ, effectively weaponized zombies) and Symbiant-Induced Zombies (SIZ) are all likely culprits, though the Radiation Zombies are unlikely given that otherwise nuke plants and nuclear waste disposal sites would be overrun as zombie factories.

Adding to that, we don't have Chicken Zombies (CZ) yet... But given the "virus" is also attacking birds, it can be likely, adding to the threat in spite of being more so tied into the former zeds.

Also, EMZ is not possible due to zeds staying dead as dirt post-mortem without a need to exorcise them or yeet them with blessed weapons... And we don't have the weird COD zombies stuff going around. They also aren't deadites either.

I’m not sure I’m comfortable with the godmodding of IRL nations (or including them at all, for that matter, considering how litigious toward NS they’ve been in the past). Did the US actually say that in the thread? Provisional America, did I miss a post from you?

Referring to the US in Gonswanza's earth, which is more of an NPC than anything, hence the loose posting. And yes I'm also presuming they are using CONPLAN 8888 or some variant of it just to make it easier for myself and not having to go into deep detail on what they are really doing.

Basically this begins with both GD and Niteo verses of Palmyrion having their own zombie outbreak in a mine (coincidentally of the same name), then when they meet in some strange "multiverse hub" the Slick Sick Six from GDverse and Lucky Seven unite to form the Baker's Dozen.

From here they agree to combat zombies in their own respective universes, sometimes even with either team crossing over to the other's.

All right. I suppose that’s fair enough as long as no big unilateral decisions are made without consulting the rest of us (for example, determining that the zombies’ origin is not magical probably should’ve had some discussion, in this collaborative format). I’m good with going ahead with this if everyone else is, though.

It is not. I’m thinking about what to post next now, and others are still contributing.

So it seems a bit questionable to made that zombies would make much of a headway in Allanea, for obvious reasons.

But there's two things that could happen.

1. Allanea could send a small team of necromancy grad students who are there to collect laboratory samples and study the zombies (and obviously if they see people being menaced in their direct vicinity they'll rescue them)

2. The Knights of Leng could turn up, who are essentially knights trained in magic and combat disciplines to combat supernatural threats.

The thing I don't want to do unless you tell me that's what we're doing, is to have a large amount of people to turn up and start destroying the zombies wholesale. Rather my idea is a small group of people [perhaps no more than ten-twenty in total] being heroic and cool in various ways.

Well Octavia really won't be having issues with zombies for what I hope are very obvious reasons, but if I do find the time to post here I'll probably have some Mechanators come down and go on a little hunting trip at the expense of the civilian population in all likelihood. Maybe they'll end up sampling some of the pathogen which could lead to some interesting things down the line. This is, of course, if I can actually find the time to post with the 2 other RPs I have going atm.

Well sorry for the IC post that more like civil-war instead of bioterrorism or apocalypse scenario, with late introduction on zombie, though still mention it on the post. I'm trying to showing the societal collapse after months of the apocalypse, and probably adding the antagonist that might become obstacle to finding the truth, after all, my zombie is slow, which you don't need to be highly trained or be a gamer to get a good reflex just to shot a zombie.

I’m not really well versed in architecture, but I can tell you purple is about the plainest color buildings get in Olwe. As for where to arrive... the Imperial Palace is the site of the main war room Jason was in till recently, the House of Lore is also conducting research into the cause of the outbreak, and Fort Neilan is the forward command center for the largest gathering of military.

Should radiation affect the undead anyway? The concussive force of the bomb blasts should take out large numbers of them, but I’d assume they’re immune to anything toxic.
