The War of the TCOC (closed)

Postby Prairie Grove AR » Mon Jun 29, 2009 7:09 pm

The Republic of Prairie Grove Ar thinks that the republic of Vilcan is not giving the people enough political freedoms so they will do the country a favor by taking it over and disposing of the corrupt government the has established there. So they send a army of 20,000 galactic marines to take the Vilcan capital. They have plenty of weapons and ammo because of the huge amount of PGAR's industry that is put into arms. They are also sending a couple of Cruisers to help with the battle.

The sirens started blaring in one of Vorlac's(one of the eight clans of Vilcan) scouting ships. "To your battle stations!" yelled the ship's commander, Mandrake Lock. "We've got a fleet of Cruisers on our tail. Cloaks on!"

"I'm on it," said the ship's technical adviser as he started entering complicated formulas into the ships hard drive. As the cloaks flickered on, the Cruisers appeared on the horizon.

"Oh boy," muttered Mandrake. He send a hologram to Headquarters on the surface and told them that they were under attack by a fleet of Cruisers. Squinting out of the observation deck, he saw the PGAR flag glistening on the front of the lead ship.

Hi, the following post will be the Tenkterian Empire's list of helpful hints:

One: Expansion of the original post is an absolute necessity; I have no clue why this war is going on--I mean besides Vilcan's lack of political freedom. That is, however, a very bad reason for starting a war. Is there mass oppression? Tyrannical control of the people? Mass executions, exterminations, political imprisonment of dissenters? Anything at all besides 'No, you can't vote.'?

If the answer is no to all questions then the current reasoning for warfare is not good.

Two: Expansion of the attack post itself. It is a general rule of thumb that one makes a post either stating the reasoning for attack, declaring war, military mobilization and preparation, or a minor character RP to introduce the main points of the RP itself.

Three: Expansion of the response. As it stands, Vilcan's response to Prairie Grove AR 'attack' is very lax.

Granted, both nations are new and I am not, by any stretch of the imagination, a master RP'er, but I would like to direct both players to the following threads:

When the fleet got to Vilcan they saw... nothing.
"What?!" exclaimed Leading Commander Praetor Stevens, "I thought they would have noticed us and sent a fleet to defend themselves. This is going to be easier than I expected."
"Wait!" said a technician, "Look at the radar, there is a solitary scout ship."
"Oh, It must have cloaks on," Stevens said, "Pull up a blue print of the Vilcan scout ships."
"Yes sir," the entire technical section replied in unison.
The blue print pulled up and the commander examined it.
"Good they have an outside cloaking device." He exclaimed, "This could be very helpful." He turned on the intercom, "All cruisers launch your 20 fighters and upload the blueprint into the tracking device and have them lock onto the Cloak Generator." He commanded. "Let's crash this party."
The fighters launch and engage the enemy ship aiming for the cloak generator.

OOC: Hello Tenkteria, sorry to offend you with my newbieness, ;) but I am just playing with my friend. Thanks for the help, but for now we are just having some fun.

OOC: Oh, I'm not offended and the two of you aren't doing horrendously like other new (I resent the word 'noob') players have.

I was just offering some helpful hints for future posts. Just remember, the point of the game is to have fun (albeit in an appropriate, grammatically correct way)--not to sit at a computer and stat-wank or bitch other people out because they're new and aren't pro's--I use that word loosely--yet.

"We're under fire!" screamed Commander Mandrake. "Launch the flares and get us into the atmosphere. Get them off of our trail!"

"Flares away," said weapons advisor Tom Rolite. " That should throw off their radar long enough to get back to the planet." Rolite ordered the weapons crew to fire 38 missiles at the fighters. After diving under the onslaught, the ship shifted into hyperdrive.

"We are almost there! Come on, we can make it!" yelled the pilot as he flipped switches like a madman in the cockpit. BAM! "We've been hit! Going down!"

"SYSTEMS DOWN," droned the ships AI.

Bam!
"Yes," yelled the crew. "We got them."
"Good job men." Complimented the captain.
"Wait," yelled a communications man, "Our ships are encountering missiles, we've already lost 13 of our ships."
"It seems they didn't go down without a fight after all." said the commander. "Shoot down the missiles if you can we need to see if we can save some men tonight."
After a couple intense minutes of frenzied flying the pilots managed to destroy the missiles with a total of only 19 losses.
"While we have a minute let's mourn the good men we lost taking down this scout vessel." said the commander.

The ship crash landed in Bilor Territory after being shot down from a PGAR Fighter. "Hey boss, what's this?" asked a low-class servant in the Bilor Warlord's Army. The sergeant examined the wreckage from a distance as the crater was still smoking.

"Looks like a scout ship... Wait, that's from the Vorloc clan! Sound the alarm!" exclaimed the sergeant. "We need to get our army together to fight!"

5 minutes later...

"Sir, we've got a message from the Bilor Clan, and it's not gloating this time. We've got a downed scout ship and need to fight back!" said the communications worker.

" @#%$ ! We need to send a Carrier up with 50 fighter ships and 30 bombers and a 400 strong boarding party! Force fields up on the planet! GO GO GO!" yelled the lieutenant. The pilots jumped to getting ready and finally got on the ship. FOOM! FOOM! FOOM! the three Carriers screamed as they zipped out of the station.

The fighters flew out of the Carriers as soon as they got into space but the bombers held back as reserve. Firing 15 Zipper Rockets at the enemy Cruiser ship, the fighters advanced into position.

"They're sending zipper missiles, put up the shields." Yelled the commander, "Then power up the heavy laser cannons and the anti-aircraft lasers."
"Shields Online" The computer said. "Artillery online"
" In positions men." yelled the yellow squadron leader Don Hockney (There are three squadrons Yellow, Green, and Red. They are Yellow = Artillery Green = Galactic Marines and Red = Pilots)
The whole ship rocks as the missiles pound the shield but no permanent damage is sustained.
" Try to repair the shields back to full strength," Don says. "We'll need them."
The heavy laser cannons fired at the carriers and the anti-aircraft laser shot at the fighters.

Realizing the zipper missiles were doing nothing against the Cruisers, the weapons adviser redirected the missiles at the fighters and sent more at them to keep them busy. Meanwhile, the main Carrier charged and fired it shield degenerator at the enemy Cruisers.

"Sir we've been hit, along with 17 other fighters, by anti-ship lasers! We're going down!" screamed a fighter pilot with his last breath. The other fighter pilots did a pincer maneuver on the remaining enemy fighters and tried to dodge the hundreds of lasers streaming towards them.

"Sir the dog fight is getting nasty quick we've already lost 5 fighters." yelled a communications man.
"They're shooting a shield degenerator at us," yelled a technician
"Put up the mirrors and we'll give them a taste of their own medicine," said the commander.
"Things are going badly," yelled the red squadron leader, "We've lost 3 more fighters but I think we might of damaged their ships but I can't see very much through all the lasers and smoke.
"Send a tg to home planet and ask for some reinforcements. We'll need crab marines and shield slicers." said Praetor.

"Augh! Dodge those degenerators! Bombers, evacuate the Carriers and bomb the enemy cruisers with anti-Shield missiles!" yelled Commander Hans Gorlam.

"Bombers are good and ready. Bombers out!" yelled the pilot.

"Make preparations for a boarding party! Let's take this ship!"

"Augh! How many ships do they have? The fighters are enough already." yells a technician.
"Well if we blow up their carriers then their fighters and bombers will have no place to dock and will run out of fuel quickly." yells commander Stevens
"Anti-shield missiles!! Redirect laser cannons to missiles." yells the yellow squadron leader. "Fire!"

While the laser cannons were directed at the anti-shield missiles, the bombers quickly swooped into the cargo bay and bombed the troops, ships, and weapons stored there. The Carriers charged up their main cannons and blasted the enemy fighters as they fled from the pincer manuever.

"Fighters! Get into the bay and take out those troops while the cannons are focused on the missiles! Quickly!" screamed Pilot Randy Wilson into his Comm-Set. "We need to take out the troops before we board!"

Crunch! Crash! went 23 fighters as they got shot down by retreating enemy ships. At one of the Carrier ships, a technician screamed when he got shot by a laser while he was repairing the damaged wings.

"What are those bombers doing?", said the spotter, "Wait, Shut the cargo bay doors!! they're trying to fly in."
The doors start to close but some of the bombers are already in. Some get hit by the door as it closes and others can't get in but about 50 bombers get in.
"Shoot down those bombers!" yells green squadron leader. " Heavy artillery shoot them down."
The technicians work in a frenzy to fix all the damage from the anti-shield missiles.
Little did the enemy know but every move they made brought them closer to being in range of their star cruiser which is the pride of their navy with more fire power then all four other ships combined. It is also fast enough to travel 5 times the speed of light.

While some of the bombers make it through to the other side while dropping bombs before the door closes completely, other that get hit yell "Kamikaze!" as they crash into cannons and artillery. Outside, fighters are fighting their hardest as they shoot lasers and guided missiles at the enemy fighters.

"Ha ha!" exlaimed Wilson. "I got one!"

"I've been hit! I'm going down!" screamed another fighter pilot as he crashed into a radar scanner on the Cruiser ship.

"All laser-cannons, fire at will!" screamed Commander Hans Gorlom. "Take out their shield while it's weak. Charge up and shoot!"

OOC: Come on man, a star cruiser that's that strong and that fast is god-modding.(http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=456&sid=47b1ed0c1aaeee71d7bcde045e923eae) If you can do that, than I would just charge up my planets super lasers and missile pods and heat rays and blah blah blah and attack you. That would just be dumb.

but the cruiser is a hologram to throw the enemy off.
"Kamikazes! We've lost 4 guns."
Crash!! "We've hit their carrier. Marines board their ship!" Yells the commander.

"Block off all port side corridors. We are being boarded! Go into lockdown!" yelled Commander Gorlam. "Set up the mines and booby traps! Full security up!"

"Star Cruiser in the distance, sir," said observation deck Sergeant William Carl. "Prepare the cannons."

Only 29 bombers survived the onslaught of enemy traps. They fly quickly over to fire missiles at the Star Cruiser. After getting close enough to see the Cruiser on their radar, they realize it is not there. "Why isn't it on our radar?" asked one pilot.

"... I don't know... Wait! It's a hologram!" yelled another. "Get back into the real fight!"

"Marines, slice the doors and take this ship!" yells the green commander
"Ha! The bombers fell for the hologram trip!" yell a technician.
"Shoot at them while they are turned around!" yells the yellow commander.
The marines slice the doors and go rushing into the main cockpit where all the technicians and commanders are.
"Put your hands on your head and go into the cargo bay!" yells the green commander.

Another Carrier silently slid up on the other side of the captured Carrier. All the uncaptured crew secrectly left on the other side of the ship through an airlock. The Carrier flied off and Commander Gorlam pushed a button on his handheld controller after entering a password. "Sorry," he muttered.

Kaboom!

The ship behind them exploded as Gorlam pushed the self-destruct button. The tricked bombers quickly pulled a 180 and fired missiles at the boarding party's ship.

A diplomat comes and says peace! THE END
and they lived happily ever after. because the ships self destruct button didn't work.
