There would be no rebellious members. Most parliamentary systems have incredibly high rates of loyalty. Look up the Canadian rates of rebellion against the party. Especially for a landmark bill.

More extreme? Yes. After the bill failed or stalled, the TSA might shader. But if you would be for the bill you would be a PLP PM, not a LibCom/LibCap.

How about this? Throughout 3 IC years (maybe a week and a half or so), the LibCaps and LibComs improve the Galapagos through infrastructure and trade development as well as tourism, and during that particular midterm, the independence bill is proposed. The only thing that would need to be done is posting the events ICly on The Multiverse Affairs.

Also there is the possibility that the Balkans never supplied weapons to the angry Galapagos civilians making independence seem less dangerous and with the capture of GLA leaders many would think of independence as less risky

Also the only way the Galapagos would not erupt into civil war was a quick independence

It's not canon at all, plus I just treat it like N-Day: as a computer simulation "for fun" given how it's run.
