Doctors Association Warns of Candy, Efforts in Vain

The Doctors Association of South Olpen has put out a statement this Halloween warning parents of candy. The statement says that parents should limit children to no more than 6 pieces of candy a day and that regular exercise should offset. The Dentists of South Olpen have made a similar statement with the same limit, except for them it should be offset by tooth brushing. Both organizations have paid for ad campaigns on YouTube and evening children's television.

Despite the warnings of DASO and DOSO, it seems these messages have been ignored. The Confectioners of South Olpen, the registered trade group for candy makers in South Olpen, have reported a revenue of 3.9 billion dollars, up from 3.7 billion in 2034. Of this, 1.2 billion will be sent to the COSO in membership fees. Because of this, the government is considering breaking up the group.

The government has started, through the Agency for Health and Human Services, that the DASO advice should be followed. The official statement, Hough, hasn't stopped local officials from mocking the advice. Some mayors have agreed to personally fund a skit to mock the advice, but it will likely be released next year to keep it topical.

In a rebuttal to the DASO/DOSO ads, the COSO have begun their own campaign. For the time being, it is working, but all experts agree that the campaign will be chopped down. The Agency of H&HS have sued Big Candy for breaking the Advertising to Children Act, which outlaws advertising to children in a way which could harm them. The SSD have placed an indefinite bounty on several positions in Imperial Meretica. This means that if proof of elimination can be shown, the SSD will give the individual/orginization up to 500 million dollars, depending on the position. Such acts are most definitely illegal, but the SSD has legal protections to bar it from a number of foreign-based acts.

The bounty is quite strange by many metrics. For instance, the bounty is not on an individual but certain positions. For instance, the bounty is not on Emperor Klobuchar, but instead the position of emperor whoever may hold it. The bounty is also indefinite, which means that it will last forever, holding bounties on the position for as long as the SSD continues the program.

Many top tier assassin have already accepted the challenge. The unknown K, infamous and yet unknown associate of the SSD has announced he will attempt to target governors and senators. Organizations have also enrolled in the program. The black ops for hire group Terminex have sent many assassins and agents to dispose of targets.

The SSD have placed very few restrictions on viability. The first is that absolutely no civilians will be injured or killed in any major capacity. Ecenomic Report 2035 Released, Government Closes Deficit

As the 2035 year ends, the Commission on the Financial Situation of the State, a subdivision of the Treasury Department, have published the government's financial report for the year 2035. The report is currently available as a word document on the State Department and is being sent to the National Registrar of eMails as of writing.

The report is broadly positive as the government closes it's 1.2 billion dollar deficit. The government is now in a surplus of 7 million dollars, but an amount this small would fluctuate monthly. The money will be put into the Olpenese Trust Fund for Catastrophe and Collapse, the fund that prevents major economic collapse and eases them when they arise.

The comeback was found after the elimination of the Bureau of Labor Statistics which was seen as a drag. Several salaries have been slashed. These affect mainly those in local elected positions and the Executive Chamber. Notably, many few positions that were involved in the passing of the bill had their salaries slashed. Political watchdog groups are already calling this into serious question.

To celebrate, the government made a promise that in he next 20 years taxes will be slashed by up to 23%. No one is enthralled by this as this is the latest in a long line of these types of promises in the last 35 years, of which only 3/15 have been followed through on while 8/15 have been delayed and 4/15 have been straight cancelled.
