It is not, in fact, an inside job. It turns out that she had heart failure. Mereticans cite the lack of awareness of her condition as proof that South Olpen was really just trying to kill Wilmington. The independence is not oblivious to past SM actions and they know that eventually if SM doesn’t withdraw they will be arrested for simply representing the people and so a series of bunker and tunnel networks form underground for the independence to flee to if SM cracks down on democracy again. Meanwhile the response to the riots merely turn the populous more violent and demanding that the GA leave or they will make to leave.

Then, a secondary force will land in Halifax, Quebec, and Toronto. For the European theatre, the nation will give passive aid and training to Fee State troops until North America is liberated. In order to achieve such a lofty goal, drone production is being ramped up with many environmental regulations being severely loosened, as well as temporary amendments to worker laws. The worker laws are only slightly widlled down, while environmental regulation is fairly heavily cut. Due to nuclear energy being more efficient, however, South Olpen still stays in the range of a carbon neutral print.
