Setting myself two deadlines (since that sounded like a good idea):
  • The Megapost (from Drecha) should be released by Friday, if I can help it.
  • The next post from this account should be out in 1-3 weeks.

Right, ho. If you have any small actions, feel free to telegram me so I can write brief responses. If I think it'll fit better as a major post from me (i.e. >1 paragraph), then I'll see. My objective in offering this is just in case we barely move every month because of adhering too much to minor turn-based actions, especially since Psytrine procedure gives a lot of time for Foreigners to respond, just in case.

If anyone needs my input on something, telegram me, please. Callid / Shwe Tu Colony. It seems like you may need something, unless I am mistaken, so please telegram me if you do.

I'll be fine waiting for the post, if you don't feel it necessary for me to contribute over telegram. My offers have just been to expedite the writing — instead of waiting for either of us to post and writing singular actions to ensure we can respond, we could collaborate over telegram and release a larger post with both of us contributing for numerous all actions.

Ahh, then I'll wait for Drecha's post, I can then reply to everyone and maybe help further develop, just not that fast, hopefully. ^^

No pressure on Mirum, of course, I can wait. ❤️

This all sounds perfectly good to me, Mirum. I can definitely wait that. You've been doing pretty good so far with handling this RP. And no need to rush it or feel married to that deadline either, if it becomes untenable. Just make sure to keep us up to date and in the loop, and it's fine. :3

Oh, and if you (or anyone else here) has any questions for me about Fallen Angels, Dead Earth, or the greater 'verse we're set in, feel free to ask here or shoot me a TG. I'll be happy to answer any questions whenever I'm online.

"Megapost" is up. Hope it was satisfactory.

Also, Val Z, nothing personal about the four Starcruisers, it's just, you have over 1 BILLION troops, meaning if I sent less than 1, I would be instantly destroyed. Also, as you can see, a Starcruiser was crippled by a single nuke, meaning that one or two of your experimental fighters could take it out with just a few lucky shots.

Yeah no worries on that, I'm cool with it! :3

I'll read more carefully this time and see what I can write... Either tonight, or tomorrow, or Sunday. ^^;

Cool read so far, haha! I'm at work now, but I got half-day later in a few hours.

I assume Drecha is attacking the capital? That being said, would it be safe to assume they landed on Zhongshan Square or Xinghai Square or would they prefer someplace wider?

Yes, it is the capital, but they are not landing in the capital, but a few miles away on the outskirts.

As for those dilemmas, remember, the message was designed to sound a tiny bit like a sketchy deal (OOC-wise, that is), so there is no metagaming really there if you try to say that that message was suspicious while roleplaying IC.

Yeah, I'm aware. Add onto it that our leadership is largely comprised of greedy, selfish, manipulative assholes... But this thing, it's got layers to it. Some of which result in something that would definitely be done ICly, but would have serious OOC consequences. I have to ask - have you read our leader's factbook? Because this doesn't go the way you probably think it does. The Fallen Angels is essentially built around a giant self-destruct button, one that was intentionally installed within it, to its very basic level, and was there from the very beginning. If this sounds weird, I suggest rereading our leader's factbook. It might make a little more sense then.

So, if for whatever reason, we are about to lose horribly, the most IC thing that we would do is that Honest John would press that metaphorical button (or more likely have 106 press it for him, he doesn't like to personally get his hands dirty if he can help it) and our entire population, except for those who are actually working for the Tophel Clan (so Honest John, 106, and all our demon allies) would all drop dead instantly. Then those still left would flee the scene (and by that, I mean flee this plane of existence; 106 might go somewhere else, or she might follow Honest John).

At the very least though, I'll wait until Valentine Z posts, as that will likely influence where exactly we're going to go with this from here. I might end up being a few days after that, as it will take some time for me to plan out a good response. Longer still if it ends up being closer to Monday, as I'm fairly busy for a good chunk of the week. I'd still be able to get on NS, but I'm kinda drained then, mostly would only be doing F7 stuff, if that. The best time for me to work on posts is Friday-Sunday, that's when I've got the most time to devote to it. This is a good part of why I can only really post around once a week.

Hmmm. Guess that thought zipped right over my head until now. While what you say is true (the RP is partly YOUR story, after all, and your canon background most defiantly is), I have the slightest feeling that you will quickly learn the truth about Drecha, who, might get a rear-whooping, might leave YN with some quite valuable tech (which, to be fair, might raise other IC problems) and a chance at defending against other future invasions. But again, your story. Can't wait to see how this all turns out overall. And now that I think about this, the scenario with a positive outcome also applies to other Pre-FFT nations in this RP. Hint hint. But again, your story, my scenarios. If this all makes sense. If not, I'll message those who message me saying they don't understand, and I will attempt to clarify.

Well, you may need to update what has been going on in YN IC, so here is a summary:

Summary of IC Events:
  • Drecha and The Hoarde of One allied
  • Val Z broadcast message to everyone
  • Mirum fired a nuke at an attacking Starcruser, disabling it, and they got invaded by Drecha (but not completely)
  • Drecha got angry at The Arkiv for 'attempting to seize control of the hivemind' and The Arkiv got a Starcruiser
  • Drecha starts to invade everyone else (active people only, so far)
So, yeah. Note that this is all IC events in a nutshell. Very vague.

Prefacing this saying I am not sitting here slamming on my keyboard like a Neanderthal who got their hunt stolen because its momentum caused it to fly off the cliff. That is to say, I'm not actually that angry, more just surprised, and I will try my best not to come across that way and to make it as clear as possible that I'm just trying to communicate. I apologize for having to take this so slowly, but that's why I made offers to telegram-write with you as seen above, so that we wouldn't have to wait weeks/days for each new post, especially since some actions might be relatively brief in word count but still important.

Drecha wrote:OVER THE WORLD MACHINE
The Starcruiser over the World Machine remained silent and unmoving for all four months, despite all attempts to contact it or move it. It was waiting for something. That something turned out to be another Starcruiser, which rendezvoused with the first one at the four-month mark. Both remained in their places for another week, while plans were made, and the troops prepared. On the final day of the week of wait, both ships suddenly sprung to full power, moved their weapons into firing position, and rained down death and destruction in an orbital bombardment of the city below*. The walkers launched- supported by the fighters- and landed in a circle around the city. The walkers immediately sprung up, unloaded their troops, and began to advance toward the city.

In regards to the newest post, it is, unfortunately, not believable for the Psytrines and Penglaireans to sit for four months, especially with it being straight above a city. I had planned to have Callid do something else for this, but I don't know if either of us told you, so that error's on us. If that still failed anyway, they'd probably assume the Starcruiser had non-benign intentions and try harder; for scaling purposes, there is a child in the Adventurers Guild that can summon and manipulate "hand-sized celestial bodies — mass included." Consequently, the Domeses of Gravity likely has something up his sleeve relative to that, so I'm not sure how well you can resist intense gravity without consciously defying it, of which the Psytrines would become suspicious at. Failing that, it'd be up to the Callidians, which again, I don't know if we told you about that. Failing that, the Psytrines would just start blasting it — they could not imagine why a peaceable ship would ever refuse communications and movement despite clearly having the ability to, especially with a ship above a city. It seems like common sense to them that you don't just park a warship and take no effort to hide it. Then with the second ship, that'd require further communications, or else they'd start shooting again.

Again, sorry that this may have to undo your post, but as it is right now, even if we move forward, four months is a very, very long time for me, and you would be attacking a fortress instead of a city, and that's before factoring in the Psytrines and Adventurers Guild and allies, which I worry for the implications for. That, of course, is before the aforementioned believability issues.

This is fine, however, as for the feasibility of communications, there is a possibility regarding no contact due to translation that your people would most likely be aware of: one would have nothing to reference an alien language against when attempting to translate, so the message could have been unable to be translated, or is still in translation, even for a FFT nation. Just saying. Unless, of course, you have a way around that, which I am not aware of. But as for the firing part, how soon do you think that would happen assuming no contact?

I'd need more samples of language for that sort of thing, which could be doable if there's any speaking on board, but you evidently forgot that you actually did plan to levy a reply, albeit you never wrote it so you can hypothetically redact that earlier decision. Either way, the Psytrines wouldn't see it as benign to leave a warship parked above city, and would eventually send coordinates/pictograms (like Arkiv had done, since pictures would be easier to understand than words, I assume) that would lead to gay baby jail The Wastes; meanwhile, it is likely that Ivory Handle and Morris Introduction will probably try to find a way in. No response would eventually lead them to trying to use Gravity magic to move it for probably up to a day, plus send out a bunch of drones to start scanning it and trying to read any language within for purposes of language learning. Failing that, it is likely that I'll need to rely on Callid as well for stronger gravities. Past a day, Psytronius will probably start detonating "fireworks" near it to tell them to leave for The Wastes. No response after that would probably lead to them to start blasting in full.

Attempts at contact are continued, Adventurers Guild continues monitoring it, essentially meaning you'll be starting your invasion in The Wastes. World Machine wants it there because The Wastes are uninhabitated. I won't ask for a delay to write my characters for this; you're free to just go there and slightly rewrite your post in The Wastes, but I will be writing something with the assumed result you move to The Wastes, since I never said that in my most recent post, anyway.

Invasion starts in The Wastes, eh? I'll put my own spin on it, first one nearly lands (~600ft up in the air) in the wastes, waits for four months, and then second one arrives over the city, quickly fires upon it, and both unload troops (the first in the wastes, and the second around the city, in the direction of the wastes). That sound reasonable?

That's entirely plausible, yes, and seems strategically sound enough. You'd have less of a problem invading for Huang-Penglai, if you mean "over the city;" the closest city to The Wastes is The Mirage City of Achrata, which as the name implies, is a bit hard to find in the sand. From my spreadsheet map and imagination, the second one can land in Southern Shirnijing if that's what you mean by "in the direction of the wastes," although there's a large mountain range, abandoned city, and untamed rainforest with the usual fantasy expectations in the way I never developed. If you give me a bit, I can try to paint generate the idea (I need to figure out how the sea nearby works).

Double post, but owing to the above discussions, I finally finished developing that area. Purple/yellow stained glass zones are the Kradtirn Region's mirage cities, active beacon is the designated coordinate area Psytronius sent (in the remnants of the dead forest), diamond blocks are Adventurers Guild bases, green/blue/red/grey wools are Anima Cultist camps (tool, armor, weapon, accessory). This info is also labelled inside the map itself.
