Manfred! Good to have you finally back!- The Red Baron had returned to active service after spending a year with his wife, helping her throughout her pregnancy and early months after childbirth. Now it was the time for him to get back to the skies. All of the “Flying Cicus”- an eccentric SS man Anna-Lena, Manfred’s logical and quite kind brother Lothar, a somewhat sinister but very chivalrous Kilinger and finally Döring- a man with fine taste for good food and good piloting were also all present, with Manfred even bringing in a new member of the team:
- Wing! It’s my pleasure to be back into the fight with you! However, I come back to you not alone, but with a friend- meet ex-Nekkoan Air Force colonel and now your,- points at Kilinger,- wingman, Wysteria Pickerin!
After these words, a rather high blonde woman entered the room, wearing standard RFC officer attire. She was quite warmly greeted by the Flying Circus and Queen Lavinia.

Their planes received some of an upgrade as well- Fokkers were fitted with an advanced 35-mm revolver cannon which main feature were shells fitted with a post-shot course correction and proximity explosion system, which was supposed to increase the plane’s air-air combat capabilities at extremely close range, Anna-Lena’s Pfalz received a new electronics suite. The six pilots were armed and ready for their new task.

Laka offers Meretican conservatives a support in the form of the squadron and their assistants (technicians, weapons specialists, etc.) in exchange for a post-war Lakan military base located there should the conservatives win

The Conservatives accept these terms and continue to slowly kill off the Meretican government, believing them to be the lesser threat.

The Meretican Government remnants begin fundamentally changing their economy in spite of the ongoing economic crisis. Despite being broke, they make use of funds from Enoch-Hezekiah and re-establish the treasury. Until further notice, all government officials are working for free so as to devote funds towards the troops and saving Meretica.

The Queen makes the following speech:

"Over the centuries, Meretica and its predecessors have faced many trials and hardships. This is no different. I think that no idea is so outlandish that it should not be considered and viewed with a searching, but at the same time, I hope, with a steady eye. We must never forget the solid assurances of sea power and those which belong to air power if it can be locally exercised. We will do our best to limit the loss of life. We shall do our best to outride the storm of war, if necessary for years, if necessary alone. For now, we are not alone. We are doing all that we can to hold our nation together, for if we do not stand together, we will fall apart. Our enemies want us to fall apart. Our enemies would love to see us in a weakened state and to invade, take over, and root out everything that makes us Meretican. Meretica has been for many years now a mostly self-sufficient nation. Now, assuming that we do not unite our hearts and minds once more, we will not. I ask that the Communist leaders begin negotiation with my government so that we might re-establish order and unity."

With most of the colonies under a general strike, barring those owned by the Conservatives, and much of the mainland supporting the Communists, a new democratic republic is established with a communist economy. It is dubbed the Socialist Imperial State of Meretica. Communists offer to begin negotiations with the "legitimate" government.

In light of failed intervention and unpopular military decisions South Olpen decides its best to declare isolationism. All foreign documents have been burned, all POW's will be liberated.

It is dubbed the Socialist Imperial State of Meretica. Communists offer to begin negotiations with the "legitimate" government.

The government agrees, and peace talks begin. Both sides have come to the table with their own agendas and their own advantages, but to the people, it is very obvious that the communists have the upper hand.

Technicians work to the bone in order to make the planes airworthy overnight. Now the pilots await local conservative orders. The Communists and the Crown have come to a mutual agreement. Over time, the economy shall become more socialist, until the entire economy is state-owned, barring small, local businesses. Medicare-for-All shall be established, in addition to paid time off, maternity leave, and other Communist demands. Meretica must, at some point, rejoin the WA, and it must also allow its colonies to either become independent or fully become part of Meretica.

The flight specifically choose what kind of weapons to equip the planes with with for the mission. Each of them takes a decoy missile, Lothar, Döring and Kilinger also take took 4 medium-range and 4 short-range AAM's, 2 1-ton bunker buster demolition bomb. Manfred loads his jet to the brim with AAM’s- his task will be to provide combat air patrol for the mission and Anna-Lena’s Pfalz is fitted with anti-radar missiles- her task is SEAD. Extremely heavy loaded planes were barely below maximal takeoff weight, and as such the had to fly a large of the mission with afterburner on, which heavily limited plane’s fly time to bingo.
Flying into the enemy territory, they used the oldest trick in the book- “threading the needle”, doing their best to fly relatively low and slow around enemy pulse search radars and charging directly at enemy Doppler radar systems- they can only see you if you move side to side, after all. Manfred follows somewhat behind the general strike group, surveying the airspace with his ICRT in search for any enemy fighters. Once they ge5 within 10 naval miles to the target (Anna-Lena targets the Senate, Lothar and Döring the palace), they are going to climb to 3 kilometers with afterburners. Meanwhile Manfred and Anna-Lena are going to protect the attacking jets while performing the grinder defensive maneuver. To successfully strike the target with the FAB-1000-PB target, it was necessary to collide with the target at a speed of more than two Machs - at a given air humidity, as well as the pressure and altitude of the target above sea level, this required a drop in a supersonic dive at right angles to the ground at an altitude of at least 1600 meters, but not less than 1100 - otherwise the plane would not have had time to get out of the dive and would have entered the ground. To some extent, the Fokker, being a special mission fighter, was designed for such a “Dive-Bombing” mission.

The President, Her Majesty, Dukakis, and a handful of other officials are able to escape before the bombs hit. However, hundreds of Senators and thousands of civilians, in addition to thousands of soldiers from both sides are killed. The Queen, the President, and Dukakis issue a joint statement deeming these attacks an outrage.
