The Meretican Civil War

War! After decades of internal peace and prosperity, several anti-government groups have declared their independence from the Empire.

Extremists from the conservative block of the Traditionalist Party have taken over and occupied the great city of New Memphis and have taken over the entire Misericord colony. The weakest and smallest faction, they are the most "ideologically pure." Led by escaped convict Jaques vra Jeanarde, it is feared they may move further right and become fascists.

The government is simultaneously in a state of calm and crisis. Dorothy Winthrop has the Senate under control, but Queen Sinestra is dealing with a Royal Family in chaos. With a royal relative leading the conservative extremists, the Royal Family fears another purge of the aristocracy and monarchy. They are the largest and most powerful faction, especially given that they are the only faction with nuclear weapons or missiles of any kind. However, they are reluctant to put these to use because the loss of Meretican lives is terrible, no matter what is going on.

The Communist Party is in full revolt, having already taken control of the entire Nesrin, Campaignian, Thiran, and Allegorian colonies. Led by former President Alexander Dukakis, they are the fastest-growing faction.

Bombing is immediately commended of enemy targets and Operation Loyalty is ago launching assassinations and spies on enemies. MAY GOD BE WITH HER MAJESTY!

We can also send traditional soldiers to gas and bulb the rebel scum out" he pauses for a moment " as you know you are our closest allies and we wish for your peace and prosperity"

OOC: the whole dihcroan situation in lore messed up the U.P.E economy. as bennystania and the U.P.E spent loads of money on the communist and socialist forces.

Under questionable decision by the government, Universalius would formally intervene in this war on support of the Queens side whilst declaring ahead on war with communists and conservatives. Following units would be send over:

- 100 mechanized divisions

- 25 Mil Mi-26

- 100,000 estimated ground forces via LCUs.

All units would be fitted with exoskeletons and equipped with latest military equipment.

Nations such as Bennystania will be warned for cutting support with hardline communist groups or face a full blown war in contrast to Universalius's small involvement

We get our colonies back, Meretica continues as an anti-WA nation, and we can all be happy go lucky until the next crisis hits."

"Our recent actions outside of the WA have hurt us," Senator Jones interrupts. "Without our strong WA allies, the people fear that Meretica cannot stand alone."

"In a sense, Meretica has always stood alone," the General proudly grunts. "Not many nations can claim to have stood strong for over three thousand years without giving up. I say we take out the commies and the royal rebellion early and then pivot toward vra Jeanarde. We just need to stabilize the royal family first. Pumping out a child would do some good for patriotism, morale, and the continuation of the monarchy."

All eyes turn to the Queen and the President. "I think that everyone has made some good points. Let's immobilize the communists by blockading their ports. Let's also try to get Bennystania to see reason and kick them back in line. Let's contain vra Jeanarde, and then let's beat the hell out of Wrenflight by ruffling his feathers. Get it? Cause he's a Wren...? Anyways..."

The President adds, "Terrorism for terror's sake does little. I recommend we focus on some good ole fashioned PR campaigns and backroom deals."

We also would be willing to send our Economical Support by the Tens of Billions worth of your Currency to support both your People and your Armed Forces..Stand Strong, the United Imperium and Meretica will stand higher than the clouds!"
