I don't remember CHALICE that well. They were pretty powerful at one point, but collapsed and were replaced by CHALICE 2, which is in decline.

It's taking advantage of the position other alliances are in. The only real alliances right now are the UIC, ICDN, IDSF, IFTC, and maybe the WDA. The rest of the alliances are collapsing. Also, remember that SETA (which is very similar to the IDSF) got a lot of members in the time it existed, so the more aggressive nations probably want an alliance they know will protect them from their enemies.

That makes sense. But I only know one IDSF member who was particularly aggressive, and he left and tried to nuke us.

Your explanation also doesn't make any sense because the IDSF is not a region, and the IDSF can be seen as a successor to LITA/CATO whereas the UAN does mostly the same things other alliances are supposed to do, and it's also a region.

LITA still exists, we're just too lazy to do anything.

I think maybe the LITA should also go about randomly sanctioning countries and being a complete douchebag. Oh yes, maybe we can also establish a security council. Lemme put this proposal up in the general assembly.
