More Context - Levroux is a socialist nation formed as a result of the collapse of France following an alternative version of the May 1968 protests. Most of the parties are left wing in nature however multiple fringe parties that don't aspire to these ideals have been included in order to expand participation within the election. The formation of political coalitions between various parties after the election is not only allowed but also likely to occur.

Parties and Candidates in brief

The Socialist Workers Party was originally formed in the aftermath of the 1968 Revolution and is responsible for much of The Republics restructuring after the collapse of the government under Charles de Gaulle. The Parties policies have been associated with the far left and include the destruction of private property, egalitarianism, economic planning, and the creation of worker owned organizations/industry. The party has remained the dominant ruling force in Levroux since the republics founding. It is currently led by Benoit Hamon who is currently serving his third and final term as President of The Assembly. The party will be led into the 2022 elections by Valérie Rabault who has served within The Legislative Assembly since May of 2018.

The Social Democratic Party was formed in the midst of the creation of the new republic but did not have as much influence as The Socialist Workers Party. The party tends to have a more centrist alignment than the others. The party believes in retainment of some private property rights, the retainment of market principles, and the use of worker owned industry in the form of Cooperatives. The Social Democratic Party rejects the concepts of economic planning and suggests that the economy be organized with market structures in place. The party is currently led by Christophe Castaner who has served in The Legislative Assembly since May of 2010.

The Christian Socialists Party is a relatively young party that tends to fall in line with The Socialist Workers Party. The main difference between the parties is that The Christian Socialist Party believes that The Republic must retain and expand the Catholic faith and sees it as the countries primary unifying factor. The Christian Socialist Party is also fiercely nationalistic as opposed to the more globalist approach of The Socialist Workers Party. The party is led by François Bayrou who has been a member of The Legislative Assembly since May of 2020.

The Unification Party is a party founded in 2020 that seeks to reunite The Republic of Levroux with The Franc Confederation as to restore the old nation of France. This party rejects any specific policy other than ones that lead closer to reunification and as such has become a catch all for right wingers and dissident socialists who believe in reunification as the best means to bring about a government that is more diverse in thought. The popularity of the party is unknown and as such it has been mostly ignored by the other three parties. The current leader of the party is Stéphane Bern, a popular right wing broadcaster in Levroux.
