Nation Name: The Federation of Rusalkan Soviet States (FRSS/Rusalka for short)
How much support will you send: The FRSS plans to send aid to the Galapagos, predominantly in the form of food, water and economic funds. However, the FRSS also plans to send a contingent of soldiers, as well as a naval detachment, in order to assist in peacekeeping operations, as well as to "defend the Federations interests in the area during this time of social upheaval and change."
Which side are you on: Ostensibly, the FRSS is on the side of Marajarbia, and is present in Galapagos in order to assist in peacekeeping operations.
Why are you with that side: The FRSS is on the side of Marajabia by technicality, but is in reality more on its own side as opposed to anyone else. The presence of a large democratic power overthrowing a local government and installing a democratic government in its place is seen as a threat to the socialist FRSS. The FRSS already has some interests in the Galapagos, most notably their embassy, but also several companies that provide a large amount of bananas, coffee and coconuts. Though these are actually real companies, they are also widely suspected (though never proven) to be fronts for Rusalkan espionage. With the defeat and collapse of the former government, it is feared by the Rusalkans that local fears and angers could lead to violence against these establishments. This, along with the desire to exert force in an area in which Democracy is encroaching upon, is a large reason for the large military presence being sent to Galapagos.

In short, it is the hope of the FRSS that with both a large humanitarian effort, as well as the deployment of a significant military force, that they can both make the FRSS and socialism appear preferable, therefore expanding their sphere of influence, as well as deflect any desires to possibly act against their interests in the area for fear of fast and immediate response by the FRSS Ground Forces and Naval Forces.

Thats fine with me, my goals are not to start a war. Rather just to project force, as well as provide humanitarian aid, in an effort to make Rusalka seem as if it can both protect the people of Galapagos and provide for them. Also to defend spy rings in the area before they are possibly discovered.
