The current president, Ali Mohammed, has been accused of being anti-cultural, anti-environmental, corrupt and uncaring for the nation. He therefore declared early elections. EDIT: btw, if you see this please do vote. It's a bit irritating to have 255 views and 17 votes. These are the candidates:

Ali Mohammed, the incumbent president. He promises to raise the economy to 50/100 at least. He says he will also choose a national religion as soon as possible, by the vote of the people.

Murtaza Tamimi, the leader of opposition and leader of the second largest party, vows to legalise private industry as soon as possible.He also promises to increase the economy, but doesn't say how much. He also pledges to increase the civil rights to 70/100 at the least. He wants to join the WA.

Zayd Mohammed promised to spend more in education, environment and welfare. He also says he will make it illegal for the president to declare war, and will only keep the military for self-defense. He also declares that he will try to join TITO.

Hassan Islami, leader of the only Islamist party, also says that he will join TITO. He advocates militarism and shari'ah law.

Nouh Reza declares that he will, as soon as possible, join the Communist Bloc, ban all non-communist parties and let the economy boom at the expense of Civil Rights and Political Freedom. His party is technically banned, but he continues to operate anyways. He controls the black market and wants to declare both TITO and the WA as state enemies.

Junoon Imkhabul wants do dissolve the state and use the military to slaughter everyone who is against anarchism.

Ali Mohammed is Intervening in the Sapimish Civil War, to not much avail, to create a non-communist, republican faction. Nouh Reza declares his support for the Republican, Communist faction. Hassan Islami, Murtaza Tamimi and Zayd Mohammed all denounce the war. Hassan Islami advises Ali Mohammed to withdraw from the war immediately and to broker a peace deal.

Ali Mohammed has made an alliance with a republican faction in the Civil War, much to the protests to all of the parties in the election (except the Communists, who want to make the alliance permanent).

Hassan Islami has created a militia to fight in the Civil War and counter Ali Mohammed. Since they were so effective, he has declared that they will reinforce the army and the police force if he is elected. He also declares that he will join the WA as well as TITO.

Zayd Mohammed, seeing his popularity soar, made a rally at the centre of the Democratic Republic in which he promised to join the WA and he also expressed his neutrality in the Civi War.

Zayd clarifies what he meant by 'Presidents are forbidden to declare war'. If a majority of the population and senate vote for it, the war can then be declared. But by nothing less than that.

It is quite probable that noble renegades exist within the Islamic Holy Sites - renegades have no desire to worship at the altar of peace and order in exchange for mere safety.
