OOC:no, the sea of Dirac is a real scientific theory and the shielding that my ship uses is only as strong as the amount of power available from the zero point energy cores in the center of the ship, the Dirac sea uses a helluva lot of power too, its only a matter of time before my ship cracks, every time something is absorbed by the SOD a huger amount of power is used to contain the SOD, basically it turns anything that comes in contact with the outer face into energy, that is not compatible with my ship,

NERV, at this point I'm kind of getting sick of your tech. I mean, you have a) a magical wormhole that can simply make 500 missiles disappear and b) cannons that create black holes. I really don't think either is quite feasible, even in an FT RP. Also, how is your bomber able to hyperspace jump when the fighting is taking place within a planet's gravity well? That I know is impossible, and is a definite godmod. So please tone down the magical tech wanking, and until then I am going to ignore your previous 2 posts.

IC-As the Star Republic ships emerged from hyperspace, the monitor and the four dreadnoughts sent a total of 900 Capital Missiles at the new arrivals, aiming mainly at the Star Destroyers. Takin knew that hyperspace travel meant that their shields would be down, making them very vulnerable to the fast and deadly CMs.

The Task force Kilo-Charlie, a detachment of the 3rd fleet of the Tocrowkian Reich had detected large amounts of energy. Everything from hyperspace emissions to tears in the fabric of the universe. Obviously, something big was going down not too far from their current location. And from the looks of things it wasn't good. Thus Captain Klaus ordered his forces into the area to investigate. 30-Redg class frigates and ten Holliday-class cruisers set out from their waystation.

Entering the vicintity of the battle, all of the ships disengaged safeties on their weapons systems. They were here to offer as a meditating party, but would not hesitate to get involved if necessary. The Reich ships opened up an all-range broadband single and sent this message: "This is Captain Klaus of the Interstellar Reich of Tocrowkia hailing all parties. We would like to inquire as to the nature of this conflict."

Due to the range that the enemy was firing over, nearly 2 AU's, the ships were able to pick up the incomming missiles, and the ships that hadn't raised theirs shields immediatly did so. The combined Point Defense of the Task group were able to thin out the incoming missiles. The Task group shields absorbed the incoming attack as the Task Group moved back towards the main battle, as soon as they were within range the entire task group fired a massive Turbolaser barrage at the enemy ships.

ooc: Very well, then. I'll delete the latter part of my earlier post... Considering that it now deals with entirely "non-canon" stuff (Remilliod reverse-engineering you tech and NERV ship destroying-everything-without-taking-any-damage-at-all). My main point is to get the Hikikomori down to the valley anyway.

The turbolaser barrage did some heavy damage, and several Abruzzi-class cruisers took serious hits, as did two of the dreadnoughts. The slower reloading time meant that for now they were reliant on the Abruzzis to keep the Star Republic occupied, which they did, salvoing small groups of CMs to keep the enemy PD occupied while the dreadnoughts and monitors reloaded.

The two F4s chimed acknowledgment and broke off from the Hikikomori, but not before informing them that a unit of Telviran soldiers would be waiting at the landing site.

With the incomming stream of the missiles, the Task group couldn't fire a 'Full' Turbolaser barrage as the lighter batteries made up part of the Point defense. But the Regular and Heavy Batteries were able to keep up a acceptable rate of fire.

"Sir, the Miazaki's lost it's shields!" Takin spun in place, the scent of blood in the air. "All ships in range are to fire now!" One monitor, four dreadnoughts, and three cruisers opened fire almost in unison, sending 1,200 CMs at the Miazaki. Takin watched as the missiles headed towards to ship, and he relished to doom he was about to inflict on that damn ship.

From the carriers came some 300 F4s, 200 armed with FRAMs and 100 armed with FM3s, launched to attack the Star Republic ship. The FRAM-armed F4s moved to attack the Star Destroyers, going forward at full speed and ignoring the Acclamators, while the FM3-armed F4s moved to assist the strikecraft dogfighting the Star Republic fighters.

Having landed on a deep, seemingly ordinary valley between large, icy cliffs near the southern pole of Ventree, Hikikomori had sent several cybernetic worker-gorillas to unload the massive stone drills and explosives she had carried within her cargo bay. The bounds of the mining site were rapidly becoming clearer, although it was hoped that Hikikomori could leave this war-torn planet as soon as possible.

Captain's Champion Brannigan and the few other Transhuman Traders belonging to the landing party didn't occupy themselves with lowly physical work. Instead, they walked around the landing site in their powered exoskeletons, overseeing the work and motivating the gorillas with electric spikes whenever it seemed necessary. Each Trader was nearly three full meters tall, horribly thin - nearly skeletal - and enhanced with countless of cybernetic implants ranging from artificial eyes and faceplates to robotic limbs and calculation nodes directly linked with their brains through throbbing vein-cables sticking out from their enormously bloated craniums.

Brannigan was a bit worried about the Telviran soldiers. Even as the gorillas were assembling the large main drill, he could see, hear and smell the soldiers, who had so far stayed near the valley's entrance. The exact firepower the soldiers had brought with them was still unknown, but it was likely rather high. After all, the Telvirans were already aware of the deceitful nature of the Interstellar Transhuman Trading Clan Remilliod, and it was very unlikely they'd just leave Brannigan and his team do whatever they wanted.

We may have to kill them before we leave, he thought. I hope we don't have to come to that, though. It could be dangerous, especially if we have already secured the Jumper Clown device...

One of the worker-gorillas approached the Captain's Champion. The creature bowed its head as it – or, more precisely, as the small synthesizer installed just below the gorilla’ sewn-shut mouth – spoke to its master:

“O great Champion, the drill is ready and powered up. We await you command. Shall we begin the drilling now, or do you wish us to wait more?”

Brannigan shook his head.

“No. We’ll start right away. As soon as we can leave this place, the better.”

The gorilla bowed its head again.

“Your wish is my command, O great Campion.”

Meanwhile, hundreds of thousands of kilomters away, Misanthropy herself was approaching Ventree and waiting for the combat hornet carrying the unknown drone to return, when suddenly a fleet of 40 ships entered normal space near the planet. After being ran through a quick identification-check, the vessels were identified as belonging to the Interstellar Reich of Tocrowkia – the Interstellar Transhuman Trading Clan Remilliod had previously had some contact with the border systems of this star nation.

After listening to their proadcast, Captain Remilliod promptly sent an answer:

”This is Captain Remilliod of the Interstellar Trading Clan Remilliod. You have entered a star system named Ventree – which, as you can see, has become a true battlefield of three different parties each willing to either control, liberate or destroy the Ventriites who formerly inhabited the main planet.

We, however, are neutral traders of information, technology and artifacts – we are completely uninvolved in this conflict, although we are always willing to make new, profitable deals. We’ve had some contact with your Reich before, and we would be glad to open new trade negotiations with your government as well.

Takin momentarily tore himself from the sight of 1,200 missiles streaking towards the Miazaki to observe the newcomers. Dammit, is this an ice-cream social! "Send them the standard message." "Yes, Primero."

To the Tocrowkian Ships
This system has been claimed by the Solar Empire of Telvira. We are currently engaged in a battle with NERV and Star Republic ships, who are attempting to seize this planet from us.

the ship jumped seconds before the missile strike, it then unloaded its huge power at point blank range, missile launchers, heavy plasma turrets, huge laser turrets, and even some PD systems fired at the enemy ship

they spoke as the ship was pummeled by enemy fire

to the unidentified fleet, these people managed a foothold situation on our sacred territory, we, the battleship miazaki are here for the protection of planet ventree

"Sir, the evaded the missiles." "Dammit! How are they doing that!" "They went to warp and have appeared next to us." "Order a boarding action." "Yessir."

"This may be an opportunity. They are too close to the gravity well, and therefore they cannot jump out again. We have them trapped."

As the Herald of Wrath's PD and Close-In Attack Missiles (CIAMs) engaged the Miazaki, a porthole opened for a few seconds, then closed. And if one looked closely, one could see a number of large shimmers in space...

Meanwhile, three Kestrel assault shuttles exited the Herald of Wrath and streaked toward the Miazaki.

Klaus digested this information while he formed his ships into a firm phalanx formation as the Tocrowkian vessels approached the battle. All kinetic shields were powered to full, but Klaus hesitated on ordering targeting solutions. He still didn't know who to believe in this entire mess as well, but one thing was clear; this battle needed to be stopped before any more damage was done. Another broadband all-wave message was sent to the waring parties.

"We once again would state our intentions to serve as a third party to resolve this matter, but would like all parties to stand down to avoid any more unnecessary bloodshed." Was the message. To the Transhuman Trading Clan Remilliod, he sent a more private message. "We would be honored, surely, but it would have to wait until the current conflict is resolved."

To the Tocrowkian Vessels
We have a legitimate claim to this system. NERV only showed up after we had laid said claim. None of the natives of Ventree spoke of being under any protection of NERV. Therefore, we have the legitimate claim. If anyone is to stand down, it should be NERV. We have the right to defend our space.

The three Kestrels moved to attach themselves to the ship near the bridge, while CIAMs and PD pounded the Miazaki. On the bridge, Takin ordered the nearby monitor Scipio to fire another 500 CMs at the Miazaki, seeing as it couldn't warp and it's shields were down.

the barding parties mounted the miazaki as the shields came back online, the teams feet where cut in half as the shield witch was 1 inch off the hull activated
"sir, the shields have reactivated"
"engineering to bridge, this is dr akagi, we have the shields back online, but we aren't sure for how long" said the speakers in the bridge
"good, thanks dr akagi" he said, he then turned to the first mate
"prepare the chem torpedoes, anti planetary mode"
the first mate pressed a button
down in the bowls of the ship a red light started to blink
"holy hell, were to prepare the planet busters for launch," he pulled a lever and a huge warhead was moved into a 12 meter diameter tube, all the way down the colossal room you could see hundreds more preparing for launch, the torpedoes moved forward into the tubes with huge accuracy, each torpedo millimeters smaller than there launch tubes, the huge bulkheads fell close behind the torps,

on the bridge the first mate turned to the captain
"sir, all 290 chem torps ready for launch"
"this is the reason this ship is classed as a man of war!, target the enemy vessels, make sure the missiles shields are online! ,attack!" he shouted triumphantly
250 torpedo tubes opened up along the side of the miazaki, 250 torpedoes fore, meanwhile the next wave where already being loaded.

"Sir, they've launched 250 torpedoes." "Pffffht. 250? That's not even a monitor's worth of missiles. "Status on the borading teams? "They had to withdraw." "The grounder teams?" "They report success." "Good. Now, about those missiles..."

The torpedoes were tracked and targeted the minute they exited their bulkheads. The PD on every Telviran ship within range opened up. It was estimated that approximately 18,000 flechette missiles (small, anti-missile missiles) were sent at the torpedoes, while the PD laser turrets prepared to kill any survivors that made it through. And if any got through, then the shields on most Telviran ships were designed to withstand heavy nuclear warheads.

On the planet, the Telviran troops hand fanned out to observe the miners from multiple angles, but from a respectable distance. They were armed with mostly small arms, but a few heavy autocannons and plasma grenade launchers. They also had the hetlasers and rockets of the Kestrel shuttle to count on.

Towards the rear of the Miazaki, in one of the hallways, the roof was violently and suddenly torn off, sucking anyone nearby into vaccum. A few seconds later, eleven Special Assault Marines entered the ship. They had managed to get underneath the shields before they were re-activated, and now they were on the hunt. A lone NERV crewmember had the bad luck to walk down the hallway, and was killed instantly by the railgun mounted on the right wrist of one of the Marines. Each Marine stood 2.5-meters tall and was armed with a railgun, a rocket-launcher, the capability to electrify their fists. Plus, their power armor allowed them to crush almost anything with ease.

Klaus had to think fast. Telvira, being a fellow Imperial Power did seem to have a legitimate claim to the system. It was also clearly the smaller of the several powers involved, and it could be said that NERV was picking on it. With a deep sigh, he prayed to God for his mercy if he was wrong. "Targeting solutions, all ships on that vessel!" he said, designating the miazaki, on the tactical map. All ships primed their lances, charged their MAC cannons, and missiles and torpedoes were aimed. And then the fury of the task force was unleashed.

The lances, high-powered lasers were first to strike. Having the ability to cut and burn through even the thickest of armor, over five thousand bright lines of lance fire headed toward the Miazaki, followed by over ten thousand MAC slugs from the Reich's MAC canons. The slugs, made of tungsten and depleted uranium could punch a hole straight through unshielded opponents. Next were the torpedo, each had a tandem charge warhead that exploded not once, but twice. One to pierce the armor of the ship, and the other to explode the insides. Finally, the nuclear-tipped Longbow missiles, each carrying a 25-kiliton nuclear head, all of this headed toward one ship...

The Other two star destroyers, who had so far held back their fighters now launched them in a massive wave of fighters at the incoming enemy fighters. The PD weapons also switched targets and began to target the incomming fighters.

the shis systems immediately found the enemy troops who managed to get in during very short amount of time the ships shields where offline, the ships systems immediately isolated the enemy personnel,deploying gravitational traps, force fields, auto turrets,bulkheads,laser bulkheads, and huge amounts of gamma, alpha, beta, meta, cosmic and microwave radiation into the isolated area

meanwhile the kinetic shields on the torpedoes held steady as the torpedoes flew at nearly LS into the enemy ship, these missiles weren't just ordinary nuclear systems, they where gravometric imploders, designed to cause a large gravity field where they hit and a nuclear explosion similar to 12 gigatons,

OOC: if i may ask, why isn't your ship getting at all damaged by my monstrous weapons? , the main antimatter round used by my ships main turrets can normally blow a hole in 100meter think durasteel,

then, 3 huge ships jumped using wormhole tech(no relation to hyperspace or the warp) into the battle, they where the dreadnoughts,Casper, Melchior ,Balthazar, each about 50 miles in, length, nearly 200,000 torpedo launchers each, the biggest guns in the galaxy, these where the magi super dreadnoughts, they held back waiting to see the miazaki's last move, recording it for the intergalactic press

The three Abh style ships did not have standard names, they were identified by registry numbers only, and the lead ship was the AEMS-2243. Crewed entirely by a handful of sapient Marduk and dozens of sub-sapient drones, the three ships were intended to be expendable, easily deniable assets. Right now the Marduk acting as Captains for the three ships were conferencing in the combined fleet datatspace.

#2243, we are getting new readings from two drones. Number eleven from 1678 and number eight from 347. Both drones have been captured by two separate parties in the conflict. The on-board DE's report they are still intact and continue active scanning from within the two unknown vessels. Returns are distorted, but we have obtained approximate internal layouts of each craft. What are your orders?#

#Continue observation efforts. I will report the situation to MACE command. If either of these unknowns attempt to tamper with the drones, order them to initiate self-destruct. Have we recorded their communications protocols?#

Onboard the Telviran craft, the drone sat patiently, still shouting at the top of it's scanners. Now that it was in an atmospheric environment, the acoustic sensors were now picking up sounds and any language spoken around the thing. As before, the simple digital mind inside watched and reported. Only now it was receiving new instructions to activate the acoustic generator.
From the one-meter spheroid a voice issued, a synthetic, mechanical voice, #We request that you identify yourselves and state your intentions towards our probe.

As aboard the Herald of Wrath, the drone aboard the Misanthropy also watched and listened, only in this case there was likely less language to listen to, owing to the trans-human nature of the Misanthropy's crew. At the same moment that the drone aboard the Telviran vessel issued it's message, the drone aboard Misanthropy did the same, only with a short-range radio transmission, #We request that you identify yourselves and state your intentions towards our probe.
