Their Muslim populations are a lot like those of Spain and Italy in my RP: many are part of the Balkan Muslims are simply descendants of native converts, but many are part Turkish.
Okay, but again those aren’t modern immigrants, nor were they conquered by a Muslim superstate in the last 60 years. Nor were they independent and Catholic states at the point of said 20th century conquest. The only similarities I personally see are how many Muslims there are compared to Catholics.
