A Crime in the Colony v2.0[ooc and sign up]
Posted: Fri Feb 26, 2021 1:37 pmI tired this awhile back and it was going really well and then the other person RPing the IDP went inactive which kind of stopped a good RP in its' tracks but because it was interesting I want to try again of course the person who RPs the IDP will be doing so as a defense of a citizen of their nation who has been arrested for the murder of a Colony citizen but if you don't want it to be murder we can work out something else for them to have done to warrant a trial in the Colony. The main purpose of this roleplay is to have fun but also establish who the laws of the Colony as well as the laws of the person's nation who's citizen is on trial as I want to create an international incident where certain faction within the two governments are pushing the two countries to war by using this event as a means of doing but I want it be stopped in the process like evidence comes out that it was set up but I want the build up to that evidence coming out to be suspenseful so it doesn't come out right away it takes months to surface but even then the faction in both government are trying to prevent it from coming out because it would cost them their jobs/positions in government.

I also want international media covering the trial but to make sure it doesn't get too wild I want nations to sign up to be media as well there will be no restrictions as to what your media can report but try to keep it on topic of the RP so a media organization can make things up about why the person did what they did or just report on the trial as it happens or report on where they think the trial is going and how it will end. A nation can have up to two news organizations but no more than that.
