You'll end up on mine once I get that coup going, and it's inevitable.

With parts of the military leadership making noise against the government as of now, alarm bells would be ringing 24/7 within the elected govt regarding a possible coup.
The govt would move loyal troops to the interior of the country, and fight out a war of attriction with Junta forces, which would control the coastline and the cities.

While the Junta would be handing out contracts to their buddies to rename everything with "La Plata" in it to "Argentina". The government leading from the interior would cut out deals with the Chileans and the American.

I think Piikala could invade him, though, throw enough soldiers at the problem and check the weather to make sure there's no Kamikaze(divine wind aka typhoons) of any sort and invade from all sides.

So Langenia, Piikala, and anti-Kirchner La Platan troops on one side, and UAC, Fuso, and pro-Kirchner La Platan troops on the other! Yay! I love instigating civil wars in my regional neighbors!

The Anglo-Fuso Treaty of Eternal Friendship and Alliance (1720) says hello.

Problem 1: I know your every move.
Problem 2: You touch Nanyouto the primary SSBN base of the IFN and there will be nuclear hellfire.

Just a reminder that if you wish to use nukes you're gonna have to tell me and Union of British North America.

UBNA is already aware. Otoh it's a principle since invading somebody's primary SSBN base leads naturally to certain assumptions that leads to nuclear exchange.

Yeah, makes sense. I would act the same way.

Piikala also has its own satellites and GPS, plus a few dozen SSBN bases scattered in the Pacific and the Indian Ocean plus biological weapons throughout its empire. With its minor SSBN bases being in Port Moseby, Phuket, Bora Bora, Yangon, Sanya, Pyongyang, Palana, Mindanao, Guam, and Isla Isabela. With Piikalas major SSBN bases on the Yuki Hana(Main Piikalan home island it's around the size of Honshu but the same latitude as Hokiado) and Shanghai. So an invasion of each other wouldn't be good for the world. So let us not invade each other unless we must.

It appears that our naval battles will look interesting.

Oh yeah. I honestly see both of us will have to improvise, as we both have the potential to destroy each other's air power in the Caribbean at the same time.

I am thinking I'll post tomorrow detailing Piikala's plan in the RP and maybe potential diplomatic contact with Langenia if he's interested?

I am thinking maybe Piikala could send a diplomatic mission to Langenia to discuss a potential trade deal or maybe an arms deal of sorts? Along with military alliance?

The Republic of Chile that has recently seen a wave of nationalism, not unlike La Plata had in the 70's for the Falklands war. The current President is letting the free market on the way, but with increasing protests over the privatization of the nation and the gap between the wealthy elite and the average man has not been felt since 1990's.

Currently, the government favors the NAU due to the possible aid that is expected to help Chile to be able to survive more years of the current rule. The nation has been leaning to NAU due to the support that propped up the government during the cold wars, but now the populace, now angry at most actions taken by the government are questioning this. A few are believing Langenia to be a better fit as allies due to the proximity and the threat of La Plate due to the Tierra de Fuego incident.

One person in general, Army General Ricardo Martínez Menanteau, as been leaning more to some politicians who voted against President Sebastián Piñera. There is talk of a possible coup, made more so by the promises of Menanteau of gains in Tierra de Fuego and support Langenia. With the increasing vye for power, it will depend on which nation can promise Chile the most.

Well La Plata, it seems like I'm gonna be orchestrating not one but two coups!

Fvck me...
Aside from the Tierra de Fuego issue, we have similar interests...

I think I should write an in depth post about a spy spying on the Langenian Embassy. Similar to how UBNA wrote an indepth post...

Langenia, can I use a Langenian spy to kill him? Apparently he would get the news of the impending coup from a source inside the embassy. He'll die in an alley before he could reach safety...

That is an idea that I would like. A military alliance would cement our mutual rivalry to NAU. So I am the one supplying you with arms?

I was thinking Piikala could since Piikala has massive amounts of resources and industrial capacity thanks to its control of china. So Piikala can hammer out large amounts of supplies and ship them across the pacific.
