Fleet Admiral John Mederow would stand aboard the bridge of the TAC Schleswig, one of the Trenakan aircraft carriers in Task Force Mars. He would watch as the Allied navies bombarded the Kupferlands, including striking down many enemy airfields, on a screen in the bridge. He would draw out a strategy for an air raid to take out remaining tanks. He sent out a recon flight, which showed the enemy tanks patrolling around the capital city, and then sent the 36th Combined Forces Air Squadron on a large bombing raid, which took out at least 150 enemy tanks.

Tanokian forces are on their way. Sadly, out of 11,000 promised, only 6,000 had arrived near the waters. 5,000 men are on board operating the HMS Harlech, the promised submarine.

The marines have already planned on begin open fire upon the islands, however the suggestion had been rejected and debated between the two high-ups. A land invasion was plotted, and the frigates' thick front and side hulls would be used as cover for all allied forces, while the HMS Harlech watches from below, like a carrier underwater, the dreadnought of the deep. If they were to approach this with utmost care, they'd need to watch out for the Cossacks.

Piikalan paratroopers open the aircrafts rear doors as the pilots alert them of the oncoming SAMS and jump bare the fire as they devote their lives to the emperor they have pledged loyalty as soon as they could talk. While the military transports deploy chaff and flares against the missiles and cut their gliders lose. Causing minimal casualties to the Piikalan paratroopers as they glide towards the sea deploying inflatable life vests to keep them from being dragged under while the gliders land onto the ground bellow.

OOC: I'm sorry, but nuh-uh. The only way for your unsupported air assault infantry to possibly survive is if the aircraft had the maneuverability of a fighter to complement its countermeasures. And once you deploy your gliders, you'd meet anti-aircraft artillery in the form of 5P103, ensuring you don't make it to the ground in one piece. Oh, but I also just remembered-- weren't your marines Halo Jumping? That means NO gliders. You die, don't try again.

OOC: First off, if an anti-ship missile the caliber of the "Marzanna" strikes any part of your vessel, you are taking on water. There is no "slight" damage, particularly when your ships (which there is no information on) don't include any details about either HOW they defeated the extremely advanced missiles or HOW they could have even attempted to do so. All in all, I feel slightly cucked when I'm met with laziness like this, whose response boils down to "I dodged". Secondly, no resistance? Didn't my last post literally lay out exactly how we were going to defend the Richting Atoll, down to the last machinegun nest? Edit your post so that I can reply to it, preferably while your amphibious troops are still off the shore, since that's when the resistance would start. Third, it's an atoll, not really large enough for more than one military base, especially under time constraints and while one already exists. Fourth, there are no Trenakan remnants. You also seem to have forgotten about the ATGMS, the MANPADS, the Anti-ship missiles, and everything that could have possibly impeded your invasion force. Oh, and naval mines.

"That should give our allies precious time to land their forces on the beachhead.....but im still concerned on what lies upon the beaches themselves..Anti-Tank Positions? , Machinegun Emplacements?, Mines?, Sea-Mines for Ships?...i have no clue as to what the enemy could've prepared..but i just hope the bombardment was enough.."

He sighed and looked at the screen, waiting for the others to begin the operation.

After the bombardment of the rebel batteries, the island had become nearly defenseless. Admiral Micheal Jackson admired the combined effort of his task force and others, before hitting a button on the intercom.

We will begin a naval invasion soon. Their tanks are no match for our air superiority, and the only thing we have to worry about is defensive things like mines and anti-tank elements. Thank God we didnt place nuke silos here.

There was no giveaway that we had submarines in the area, no giveaway that we had mined anything, and since you guys were monitoring the surface (presumably) there's not even a chance that you could think that some fishing trawler of the rebels dropped mines. The entire point of mines is that you can't see them until you're too late, and you never know if they're there or not. So please, for common decency, as this is only reasonable and incredibly unfair since this is already 1v12, cast away all this nonsense unless you can find an actual reason. LIke, after you FIND the mines (presumably by running into them, as they're underwater stationeryplatforms), not just have a sixth sense that what your friend (who also meditates and is capable of astral projection and temporary omniscience) briefly told you is true.

OOC: If your ships got within 9 kilometers of those mines, they would have gone off. These are influence mines, meaning they have their own sensors in order to respond to a collection of satisfied variables-- once that is met, they launch a torpedo. No backing up now.

A mine is a device that responds to stimulus (a foot, a mechanical function, acoustic signals) to deliver or implement a weapon. And I have specifically stated that I have used the MS-955 mine, and even linked it to the part of the factbook where it perfectly clearly lays out what it is and what it can do. Itś not godmodding. It's you with an inability to counter mines. If you pinged it with sonar, you would have activated it; then when you got closer, say, the extent of its range, its other variables have been satisfied (including water pressure, magnetic influences), the attached Tryzub-1048 torpedo will be launched.

Now, isn't it metagaming to know that there are A.) mines, and B.) the specific range at which they fire?

Admiral Marcelo Salazar would take command of the carrier squadron to provide naval and carrier air support to ground forces, as well as protect Crysukon material and reinforcements convoys. a detatchment of top of the line nuclear submarines would also be attached. with newly designed Gen 3+ reactors and cruise missile capability, as well as developments in hull insulation, the Kidd class would be a dangerous enemy.

it would take a few days for army and navy forces to muster at the port of Danuun, and a few more to make it to the conflict zone. all that remained was to tell the rebels what to expect.

Task Force Crimson steadily sailed northeast towards the Richting Atoll. For two days now, the fleet had been operating at combat conditions. This was an active warzone. The pro-Trenakan forces were numerically stronger, but there was still heavy fighting on and around the islands. Task Force Crimson had a simple mandate: secure the waters around the Richting Atoll and cut off the nationalists and their foreign supporters from resupply or reinforcements.

The two minesweepers led the task force, given that Intelligence was pretty sure mines were being used. In the skies above, fighters from the MPS Nataniel Kahlon kept up a combat air patrol.

Unless those mines are some super-secret weapon you haven't used before, the general range is probably known to other nations' militaries. Since they're torpedo-based, their range is probably similar to standard Cossack torpedoes. Of course, even if the Mevraqis know that there are minefields, they don't know where they are...
