OVERVIEW
The Internationella Brigaderna (International Brigades) is a military combined arms force that was created in 1986 during the Winter War as a service branch to the Sovjetiska Väpnade Styrkorna (Soviet Armed Forces) of Nanban-Ha. It takes inspiration from the Brigadas Internacionales initiated by the Communist International during the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1938. Inactive since the beginning of the 1990s, they have just been reactivated in the perspective of a conflict with the Imperskaya Federativnaya Respublika of Chorussia.
In a similar way to that of the 1930s, the International Brigades recruited foreign volunteers who wished to fight integrated into the armed forces of Nanban-Ha. However, they are fundamentally different in that their are a more strict military force since their recruitment is not based on a certain specific affiliation with a specific political current within the revolutionary left. All volunteers of any leftist orientation are accepted into its ranks on the condition that they agree to fight alongside comrades and companions from different political backgrounds.

Commitment to the International Brigades is reserved for individuals (without any gender discrimination) whose age is between 17 and 30 years (possible exemption).
Recruits can sign up under their own identity or under a "declared identity", an assumed identity guaranteeing them anonymity. This measure aims to protect potential recruits from reprisals, especially if these volunteers can come from countries where their political affiliation is subject of any form of repression.
For what purpose are the International Brigades ?
These International Brigades are intended to be part of a future RP. I intend to start a full-scale military conflict between an Imperial Russia, supported by some equivalent of the United-States of America, in their Confederate variant, and a religious coalition of latine americans countries, on one side and on the other side a fictional scandinavian Soviet Union, Nanban-Ha, and its allies.
For now, the whole thing is limited to the preparations of the various protagonists, which will take time. The conflict will only break out when I think that everybody is prepared enough. Alliances have to be formed. Armies of foreign volunteers have to be raised. On both side.
The main reason is also that I am interested a lot in the process that precedes the confrontation. Many RP about war, insurrections, uprising, state coup and so on, have a tendency to start when everything break loose. The idea is to keep the question of what will happen during the war, especially the detail of the military confrontation, for a later stage. I want to focus on everything that related to what is happening before a war start, from the political division and antagonisms between the different sides to the military preparations. It will most certainly facilitate the start then the development of the future RP
For now, we will work around around the following questions: How a powerful equivalent of the Soviet Union, if it was still existing today, would prepare itself for a full scale war against a wide coalition of states equivalent to NATO. And how will it play out if Nationstates nations get involved ?
Other elements or factors may come to extend the framework of the Brigades if necessary as it develops, but everybody know already what is at stake, right ?

What we need, what you can do to support the International Brigades
Involvement will lead to antagonism with the Imperskaya Federativnaya Respublika Of Chorussia, the Confederation Of Lusatinia and the Federación de Advocatus del Cristo-Rey Of Mesoana. Once the war will start, every state or party involved on the side of the International Brigades will be then consider as enemy or non-neutral actors, depending on the size and form of their contribution.
The International Brigades accepts in its ranks volunteers of any nationality, gender, religion, social origin or political affiliation.
Recruitment process can take two forms. The "volunteers" option offer the possibility for a country or a political organization to send a numbered contingent to the benefit of the International Brigades. This contingent can have replacement or not, leaders or not. This "short term" form of recruitment option represent the cases where the recruitment and selection of volunteers is keep in the hand of the nation or political organization sending the volunteers. As opposed to the "recruitment offices" options that symbolized a recruitment process totally under the control of the International Brigades.

RECRUITMENT OFFICES
Each recruiting office is an autonomous structure which allows volunteers to undergo the physical, medical, psychotechnical and political tests necessary before their integration into the International Brigades. Their size can vary from half a dozen to nearly a hundred of staff personnel, including recruiters, doctors, nurses and administrative officers.

Recruitment offices are limited in the total number that you can request to avoid any unrealistic situations. The ratio is one recruitment office for 5-10 millions inhabitants. So if your nation have a population of 20 millions, you can only apply for 2-4 recruitment offices. To keep it realistic, I will correct your application if I think it is not.

Application for the opening of one or several Company recruitment offices for the International Brigades
If you are a democratic nation, you can apply for the implementation of Company Recruitment Offices instead of simple Recruitment offices. The difference will be the amount of recruits that each office is generating each month for the International Brigades.
A specific implementation ratio must be taken in account. You can apply for approximately one company recruitment office for 10 millions inhabitants tranche of your general population. So if your nation have a population of 20 millions, you can only apply for 1-2 Company recruitment offices. To keep it realistic, I will correct your application if I think it is not.

If you are a leftist nation, no matter your ideological orientation, you can apply for the implementation of Battalion Recruitment Offices.
A specific implementation ratio must be taken in account. You can apply for approximately one Battalion recruitment office for 10-20 millions inhabitants tranche of your general population. So if your nation have a population of 20 millions, you can only apply for ONE Battalion recruitment office. For a population of 50 millions, it would mean that you are allowed to apply for 2-3 Battalion recruitment offices. To keep it realistic, I will correct your application if I think it is not.

FINANCIAL SUPPORT
The nerve of war, the nerve of politics, is money. The financial needs of the International Brigades do not only cover the equipment of those who will fight on the front line. It also covers all the logistical aspects of the administrative structure, whether it be salaries, the basic needs of the members of the Brigades (food, accommodation, travel), legal and illegal work, intelligence gathering, support for grassroots and underground political work as well as network of informants, spies and underground supporters.
