The Macrobian Bush War

Premise

In Macrobia, the only sounds that resonate loudly throughout the land are gunfire, explosions, vehicles running and men screaming.

19 August 1968 was the day that started it all. The Somaliland National Liberation Movement committed attacks on Pergamonic administrative institutions, and Markos Gounaropoulos, the Governor of Macrobia, ordered martial law on the regions affected. However, that never stopped the Movement from engaging in military confrontations against the Colonial Security Force, with growing widespread sympathy among the local population feeding their guerilla warfare machine, proving to be a massive thorn on the colonial forces. Determined to preserve the Pergamonic hold on the colony, Grand Prince Michael I Nicodemus and Prime Minister Charalambos Palloulis passed a law calling for an expeditionary force to pacify the Movement. Two ends hang in the balance a men on both sides fight with their blood soaked on the desert sands.

Introduction: 28 June 1970

The Macrobian Colonial Security Force had their biggest relief in the form of the Pergamonic Macrobian Expeditionary Corps from the homeland. As if they were a repellant to a horde of mosquitos, the Corps helped to regain land from SONALMO, with their victories in Mogadishu in February 1970, Burao about two months later, and Beledweyne in Early June. While it proved a major morale boost for the Pergamonians, these victories did not come without diligent effort. SONALMO was still formidable rebel army with a fighting spirit, despite being underequipped and daunted. And with their current situation and with hopes of outside help, they are desperate to hold out for their leader and cause.

Minor skirmishes and raids still occur in various fronts in Macrobia, but huge operations have yet to occur from a period of relative rest. Generals Martakos and Argyroglou, primary commanders of the Pergamonic forces, are still planning to hinder SONALMO's vitality in one collective and decisive push to exploit their recent success. But God only knows if their plan will work as intended.

I'd like to add 2 Yukto class Mine sweeper each with a crew of 20 navy members as a QRF to clear the way for the transport ships if the need arises. Also asking for assistance in providing for other peace keeping nations to provide security in the harbors of Boosaso and Kismaayo and the nearby waters.

45 kilometers outside of Nachmeriya

Nachmere in 1970 would be only just recognizable to someone who time travelled back from the 2020s. The old capital Nachmeriya was still the seat of power. The massive network of highways was just in its infancy.

The Mercedes 220Sb turned off one of these newly built fast motorways, and on to a narrow, winding asphalt road. The late spring countryside was brilliant, birds fluttered in the air and behind a fence several well groomed horses fed on the long, green grass that resulted from an extremely rainy winter. Sir Yosef Migdal lowered his window and took a long breath of the clean air, delighting in the sound of the powerful straight six engine as his chauffeur pushed the car along. They passed through a stone gate with a decorative wood sign featuring a black silhouette of a lance armed hussar, under which two words were written in ornate letters:
“The Stables”.

The car reached a large stone building and stopped. The chauffeur opened the rear right passenger door and stood in somewhat military attention as Sir Migdal, the Prime Minister of Nachmere, got out of the long black sedan.
“Thank you Avi” said the impeccably dressed Migdal.
“My pleasure Prime Minister. Do you require me to stay with you?”
Migdal smiled and said “No Avi, I am quite certain Lord Gadban will not attempt at my life”

He went up the wide, basalt stairs. The front veranda of “The Stables” was floored with rather out of fashion but exquisite ornate tiles. Large ceiling fans stood silent, it was a pleasant day. A butler stood near the massive, wood doors. When he saw the Prime Minister, he smiled.

“Good morning Prime Minister! Shall I announce you?”
“Good morning Lavi, that would be kind”

Lavi opened the great wooden doors, and rang a small bell that was attached to the wall to the left of the entrance.
“Gentlemen, His Majesty’s Prime Minister, Sir Yosef Migdal of Nachmeriya”
“Thank you Lavi” said Migdal and walked in.

In the large, well furnished lounge several men stood up from their mahogany and leather chairs and faced the Prime Minister in respect. Smoke from waterpipes and cigars hung in the air, and the faint smell of spirits was evident. He nodded and walked to the table of one of them, who’s partner in conversation tactfully made himself scarce.
“Sir Migdal, Salam Aleykum!”
“Waalyekum a-Salam Lord Gadban”
“Please sit with me, and call me Sudki”
“Indeed, let’s stick to Yosef as well”

Gadban was the current Colonel of the Black RIders. No other organization in Nachmere held so much power unofficially while having no official power at all. There were many militias in Nachmere, but most were no more than glorified rifle clubs. The Black RIders was the militia of the elite. Those nobles who were past their military service age, or medically disqualified, still needed the prestige of military rank and service to the crown. Thus for 2 centuries they gathered at The Stables. This was a country club, but also a training base. It was a social club, and a parade ground. It’s bar stocked the finest spirits outside of the royal cellars, and it’s armory the finest hunting and fighting implements money could buy. And the several hundred members had the money to buy a small country, if they wanted to.

“What brings you to us, Yosef”
“Well Sudki, I heard you are planning some...Foreign policy.”
“Ah. The Macrobia issue”
“Yes. I think it’s a terrible idea.”
“There is no law against it”

“No, there is not. I can not stop you or any other citizen from traveling anywhere. But you are going to militarily intervene…’
“Volunteer to aid”
interrupted Gadban
“Indeed, volunteer to aid armed to the teeth no doubt”
“I am always armed to the teeth” said Gadban, “Would you like a drink and a smoke?”
“I would not mind some Arak, thank you”
Gadban gestured at the bartender.
“Look Yosef, unless His Royal Majesty demands that we don’t go, we are going.”
The bartender arrived, pouring a short glass of Arak to each and topping it off with cold grapefruit juice. The anise scent wafted heavily in the air. Gadban drew from his water pipe, and Migdal took out a cigarette and lit it.
“But why? Why are you going? It’s of no interest to Nachmere. It’s a real war. Some of you may not return.”
“Yosef, it has been a blessed 2 decades of peace. Great for the economy. Great for the country. Terrible for keeping up the morale and the legend of the Black Riders alive. Public sentiment supports the Pergamonian cause. My lads feel like it’s exactly the kind of thing we can do, while the government officially can’t. Which is why I am asking, is His Royal Majesty against it”
“He is not, despite my opinion”
“It is settled then”
“Have you contacted the Pergamonians?”
“We have sent an official letter, and await reply”
"You know we will not come get you if you get in trouble"
"My friend, we have the means to "get" ourselves"
“I hope you bring honor and pride to your militia and our country”

To: His Royal Highness, Michael I Nicodemus, Grand Prince of Pergamon
From: Lord Sudki Gadban, Colonel of The Black Riders, Nachmere

His Royal Highness,

It is with great concern that myself and my fellow Black Riders have followed news of the unlawful and scandalous military actions taken against your forces by radical anarchists and communists. We are also appalled by foreigners coming to the aid of these terrorists.

As noble men we have trained and prepared to defend the Nachmerean crown for many years. It appears that your crown requires defenders at this time. I have asked for 100 volunteers amongst our ranks, and indeed had to select out of many more that answered the call. We are men of means and will arrive, should you accept, armed and capable of performing any mission you see fit. We ask only for a seaport or airport to deploy our mounts and supplies, and that you order the relevant military commanders to take us under their command.

We humbly hope you accept our support, and eagerly await your reply.
Lord Sudki Gadban, Colonel of The Black Riders, Nachmere.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Ilya Alonyeva reads the Verimmar-Bruch Declaration

Historic Agreement made by Augusticinian National Parliament. Inolvement in Macrobia imminent.

Seat of Foreign Affairs, Darmona, Augusticinia -- The Augusticinian Government has acted minimally since the formal resignation of Acting Chancellor Torben Roth, following his stirring indictment on counts of Violation of Domestic Security, Treason, and Forfeiture of Integrity of Office. The nation required new confidence. Since 1968, the notably apolitical Provisional Alfredo Lodi, the former Governor General of the Trade and Immigration Department, has held a measured and entirely perfunctory duty, maintaining the stability of the nation until the scheduled elections in 1971. The Augusticinian National Parliament similarly has only convened for formal duties or the necessary meetings of certain committees or caucuses. However, a recent session of the Foreign Affairs Council may alter the passive stance of the current administration.

On the bleak and rainy day of June 20th, Councilman Geralt Bruch called for a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council, citing the ongoing crisis in Macrobia. Geralt Bruch was the former Deputy of East African affairs, mainly seeing to maritime security, but he became familiar with the tensions of decolonization present within the area. Bruch, a noted exponent of the Augusticinian Revival, has become a staunch interventionist, asking for the Augusticinian government to rebuild its broken reputation from the last Great War by sponsoring a new era of nations and free states. Bruch's intentions for the convention were clear, to gurantee the sovereignty and ensure the freedom of Somalilad.

The council once in session on the 26th, however, found an unusual protagonist. Bergen Verimmar, the acting Chair of the Foreign Affairs Council couldn't be any different from Bruch. Verimmar's legislative history is long, but its list of notable achievements short. Often nicknamed "The Glacier" by colleagues, Verimmar's close adherence to constituents from the Southern, moutainous region of Absern-Holigen means that most dealings of the foreign council are concerned with local protections and cooperations in transportation. Most resolutions are carefully reviewed for months at a time, and few extracontinental issues are even granted audience. To many, it was a surprise that Chair Verimmar acceded to the convention.

However on the 26th, in the Parliamentary Preamble, Chair Verimmar made his intentions clear. "While I have the utmost respect for the Provisional Chancellor Alfredo Lodi in his reserved philosophy, and the cautious temperament our Head of Parliament, Minister Oliver Törlund, the nation at its core is waiting. People look to their government and see that its sleeping. A necessary rest...? sure... but if we wish to have any hope to revive this nation, it must come from us. As you know I'm not a worldly man, but when I saw the proposal of the honorable Councilman Bruch I became intrigued. Councilman Bruch makes not a case for petty wars or lofty, unattainable ideals, but the same gurantees we make to every citizen. If we wish to form a world of peace and order then we must vouch for that peace and order, and we must support those nations that would be our allies, our compatriots, our fellow humans. We see the old ways of the Pergamon Order, and we see the same values that wish to leave us small and wanting. You all know I'm no revivalist, but is it not our duty to support a world that is in synchronicity with our own people..."

The session on the 26th continued with ideological debates, and eventually drifted into the territory of drafting the actual resolution. Few members intended to oppose the nature of the resolution as a whole, and those that did mainly abstained from the session, submitting letters of complete dissent that would ultimately be outnumbered. The next day Bruch and Verimmar were tasked with heading the clarification process. The clarification process, under Verimmar has been notably brutal, a clerical system of reviewing each point of resolution that often halts the momentum of any political drive. Verimmar's demeanor for the following agreement, however, notably changed. Each of the points was quickly reviewed and often unanimously approved. From its passage in the council Minister Törlund, a friend of Verimmar's, saw little issue in its passage and raised no objection; The following day the agreement was presented before Provisional Chancellor Lodi, who has remained unobtrusive towards parliament, and has in 2 years raised no objections to parliamentary resolutions, a particular deference unseen since the 17th century.

Later that day following a comprehensive briefing, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ilya Alonyeva, read the statement publicly, with brief commentary to clarify the execution of each point by the Foreign Ministry and Augusticinian military. Over the next week Augusticinian forces are expected to deploy to Kismaayo under the guidance of General Marcelo Filanel.

The following abridged resolution can be found below:

The government of the Federal Republic of Augusticinia has long since recognized the tensions existing in the state of Macrobia, owing to the effort of self-realization of the Somali people under the organization of the Somaliland National Liberation movement. However, Augusticinia has yet to raise its support towards the rightful claimaint of said land, in the interest of protecting the global interests of Augusticinian people, trade, and community. The following are made as statements to the global community, as well as the course of action for the Government of Augusticinia:

1. The Federal Republic of Augusticinia fully recognizes the rightful claim of the Somaliland National Liberation Movement to the former state of Macrobia.

2. The Augusticinian government expects the state of Macrobia under the governance of the Grand Principality of Pergamon to stand down, and maintain peaceful and orderly transition to the self-realized governance of SONALMO.

3. The Federal Republic of Augusticinia grants auxillary support to SONALMO through the deployment of the 2nd Augusticinian Foreign Service Regiment, the 6th Augusticinian Merchant Marine, and the 4th Augusticinian Foreign Air Service Station. The following support is to be used for purposes of Reconnaissance, Intelligence, Material Support, Lend-Lease, Training, Self-Defense, and Humanitarian Support.

4. The Federal Republic of Augusticinia does not bear hostilities against the Grand principality of Pergamon nor any of its allies, supporters, or subservient states. It is expected that this reservation of conflict is maintained mutually.

5. As per the 4th resolution, Augusticinia does not maintain to hold any embargos, restrictions of immigration, or recall of any ambassador, on the opposing parties and expects the same response from the addressed parties.

6. In the case that the rightful claim of SONALMO is persecuted by any party, and the requesting individual members of SONALMO are not guilty of any tribunal violations or crimes against humanity, The Federal Republic of Augusticinia grants political asylum to any and all parties who satisfy those conditions.

7. Conversely, the Federal Republic of Augusticinia maintains its intent to prosecute any tribunal violations or crimes against humanity in the International Tribunal.

8. The Federal Republic Augusticinia expects that typical protocols of Airspace, and Maritime Space, especially on the grounds of Merchant and Transportation purposes are not violated. In the case of violation, the Armed Forces of Augusticinia assume a right to self-defense.

Firebase Ripcord, Somewhere Near Beledweyne, Somalia

Field Report: Soon after landing in Mogadishu, the 79th Infantry Battlion, with the help of the 12th Tank Battalion, was sent to Beledwyne to establish a firebase to defend against SONALMO attacks and act as a staging point for attacks against the SONALMO forces. The position is easily defensible, and is located on top of a hill. After days of grueling work, Firebase Ripcord is operational. SONALMO is conducting sporadic raids, most of which are repulsed.

Firebase Omega, Somewhere Near Garoowe, Somalia
Field Report: The Firebase at Garoowe was constucted under similar situations, except they have no armored support. SONALMO has their back up against the wall in this region, and is determined as hell. Soldiers stand guard 24/7 and raids are a consistent threat. Easy Company is currently pinned down by enemy fire, and firefights are opening up all over the landscape.

It had been suprisingly quiet at Firebase Omega recently, and the SAA forces were finally able to carry out raids of their own. Which is why it was a surprise when SONALMO launched a massive attack on the Firebase. The companies of the 19th Battalion rushed to their defensive positions and readied their M16s. A bloodbath ensued, SONALMO forces manged to break the defenses of Alpha Company, and was only repelled after heavy Close Quarters fighting. Easy Company mowed down SONALMO forces indiscriminately, while Baker Company was left in shambles after repeated SONALMO attacks to their sector. SONALMO forces refused to retreat despite heavy losses, and by the end of the battle, the fields layed strewn with bodies, Americanastanian and Somalian alike. A Somalian fighter was witnessed shooting himself to avoid being brought into custody by the SAA.

Somewhere off the southeastern part of the Horn of Africa:

A Piikalan submarine surfaces as the sun sets the Sub a Piikalan aircraft launching submarine (a highly improved version of the IPJs I-400s that the Piikalans had bought the start of WWII and used with great success on the Japanese islands) opens its hatch as the sub's captain scans the horizon for any civilian vessels that the sonar and radar may not have picked up. Upon deeming the secure, he orders the subs two front doors to be opened with a sudden hiss of air flooding in as the large four by the four-meter circular door is swung open. Revelling an odd-looking jet aircraft shaped like a child's drawing of a house with an angular front wing and cockpit and a U-shaped rear wing with two jet engines mounted on the wings' folding tips. The strange craft is wheeled out of its hanger its tips extending the craft to a six-meter wingspan as a ladder is raised to the cockpit allowing the aircraft crew of three to enter through the hatch at the bottom of the plane. The aircraft's pilot, Weapons Officer, and Navigator get into their positions. As the ground crew rush to get back into the sub and close the jets' doors, APU starts up followed by the two engines with a roar as they're awoken from their slumber. The pilot then slowly brings the jets to a full-throttle and pushes a button causing the jet to suddenly race down the deck of the sub and into the air. It quickly races off into the clouds as it races its sound waves, eventually leaving them behind with a loud boom. It races west towards shore.

Michael I Nicodemus was in his office signing various papers when his Minister for Foreign Affairs Efthimios Demoglou knocks on his door.

"Come in," the Grand Prince called out.

The Minister comes in with several papers stacked in his right arm.

"Ah, Mr. Demoglou, what do you have for me today?"

The Minister presents him a letter sent by the noble Colonel of the Black Riders.

"We have here a letter from Lord Colonel Sudki Gadban, Commanding Officer of the Black Riders. According to our intelligence, it's a Nachmerian military formation consisting of soldiers from the nobility. Interesting enough, they're seeking glory by assisting us."

"How admirable," the Grand Prince nodded has he scanned through the letter, "I'll send a dispatch to them approving of their request."

This was the letter sent hours later:

Your Highness,

I and the rest of Pergamon offer our sincere gratitude for taking sides with us in this grueling overseas conflict. And your and your nation's sympathy for our cause is recognized and appreciated. You have my blessing, by the Grace of God, to deploy your men into the colony. Refer to General Lykourgos Martakos of the M.E.C. and General Hristos Argyroglou of the M.C.S.F. for your designated deployment, and present this letter as proof of your siding.

We thank you again for committing to our cause in putting this colony back in order.

"How disappointing. I thought they would see how much damage SONALMO has done," the Prince shook his head.

"Should we send an official comminique," asked the Minister.

"I'll do it. We let them know that we've listened to them."

Dear Chair Verimmar,

it is unfortunate that you and your nation have declared your support for SONALMO and their intentions. Macrobia is Pergamonic land, and it will remain that way. The chance for its immediate full independence was stripped away when the terrorist organization conducted attacks on administrative insitutions in the colony. We are there now to restore order. I hope by God that you will ruminate on the material mentioned and reconsider you decision soon.

Beledweyne, Macrobia

Theofanis Tripolilis, General of the 4th Division of the Expeditionary Force sent from the mainland, had pushed SONALMO out of the city weeks ago and advanced to the Ethiopian border. He effectively split SONALMO territory in two, but he has to capitalize on this victory before SONALMO can get the upper hand with foreign intervention. He even had to issue a communique to the Ethiopians that the Pergamonians had no business with them, lest they get them involved by helping the Somali nationalists.

Tripolilis provided troops to help out South Americanastani soldiers as a return of gratitude once they've arrived. When further SONALMO attacks were repulsed, his men rested and he and his general staff called on their South Americanastani counterparts to plan further attacks.

Garoowe, Macrobia

Thanasis Stavroglou, General of the 11th Division, moved onto South Americanastani forces to reinforce them, especially with the battered Baker Company. As he saw the damage done to the Somalis, he could not help but appreciate their efforts when he discussed the matter with his staff. After the defenses at the Firebase were supplemented, Stavroglou motioned to talk to the base commander.

The Piikalan jet turns northeast after passing over the border they start to fly towards Mogadishu. Along the way the plane flys over small villages and the occasional Sheppard causing the locals in Kisamaayoo and the unsuspecting folks to see the jet to believe they had seen an alien of sorts. While Weapons Officer Captain Kano sits at his station monitoring for any radar signal, he may need to jam while checking to ensure the aircraft's radar is working correctly.

Ladies and Gentleman of the Parliament, it is my firm belief that we must defend the SONALMO movement's claim to it's rightful territory in Macrobia. To this end we must supply the SONALMO movement with equipment to match that of the Pergomanic forces, and even involve our own forces in the fighting. It is our responsibility to defend the downtrodden, and to support the rightful claims of those who's land has been taken from them.

- President Wilhelm Oberst, in his speech to the Bolslanian Parliament.

Later that week,

The first deployment of Bolslanian forces, including the 4th Infantry, 3rd Infantry, 65th Infantry, 4th Armored, 2nd Cavalry, and 45th Field Artillery, land in Kismaayo. They exchange conversation with the peacekeeping forces before moving north 30 miles, setting up a supply depot. There, SONALMO forces are equipped with G3 rifles, MG3 machine guns, and armored cars, which will effectively combat Pergamonic forces. The main body of Bolslanian forces sets up a fire base with the supply depot, awaiting reinforcements.

"God damnit, Dick! You're telling me those cocksucking Socialist bums finally got their asses together in... where again?"

"Macrobia, sir."

"Macrobia." Chancellor Rayburn looked at the map on the table below him. Even to untrained eyes, one could clearly see the markings of a war zone, with conflict hotspots littered across the border between insurrecting regions and regions held by the government. "Well," he turned to see the glum faces of advisors and military officials. "What do we do about it?"

General Westmoreland spoke up. "If I may, sir?" He motioned to the table and began frantically scrawling down a list of available assets. "That's what we can deploy at the moment. It doesn't look like much, but from what I can tell, even this can do a lot of damage. I've known Lt. Col. Grant for a while, and he's always been a stand-up guy. If anyone can make this situation work, it'll be him."

"And if it doesn't?" asked one of the aides also present.

Westmoreland scrawled down some more words. "We have an Air Cav regiment on standby at Alexandria, along with our naval detachment present there. Those two elements can reach the AO in under a week if necessary. That all amounts to a decent fighting force. We can call on strategic bombers operating from Singapore if the need comes." He paused. "Chancellor, can you come over here for a minute?"

The chancellor shambled over. Westmoreland leaned into his ear and whispered a few things. "That's our contingency plan."

Rayburn jumped back, appalled. A large grin spread slowly across his face. "I like the sound of that. Let's go forward with this."

And with that, Occentia got its hands involved in yet another Bush War.

The Piikalan jet approaches Mogadishu flying at an altitude of 600ft above the ground. As the pilot Captain Tojo carefully monitors the ground bellow as the plane turns on its bottom-mounted searchlight illuminating the ground below in bright white light as the plane races across the town taking pictures of everything bellow. As the plane starts to pull up to avoid any Minarets or steeples that they may encounter while car alarms and alarm systems are set off from the sonic boom. As the plane takes detailed pictures of the government forces assets bellow while taking some small arms fire that causes the navigator who was starting to nod off too quickly wake up at the sound of the bullets pelting the aircraft. The plane though continues to function, so the pilot completes his flight around the city and returns to the submarine. Causing some of the residents to think a UFO was visiting their city.

Later that week:

The Piikalan War Pagoda staff are looking at the pictures they receive from their reconnaissance aircraft decide that it may be worthwhile to see what's happening on the ground. So send a frigate to the city of Kisamaayo to further investigate.

Mogadishu

After arriving in port and making sure the local authorities cleared the unloading of the militia men and their arms, Lord Gadban found a taxi to take him to the HQ of the MEC to report. He took a bit of extra time in ensuring they found port equipment capable of lifting their AFVs (which the Riders called mounts, in the tradition of cavalry) off the large ship before getting in the old but sturdy looking car.

Though Mogadishu was hot and humid, the Nachmereans were no strangers to the heat, at least not most of them. Only the men who came from mountainous areas were truly sensitive to it. Gadban in fact was born and raised in the mountains, but now at 58, and having spent much of his time in the valleys and coastal plains of Nachmere, he was well accustomed to harsh summers. He did make a note to himself, that though impressive, perhaps the all black paint scheme of their vehicles will be a hindrance in the local terrain and climate. Certainly, his dress uniform was not conducive to his well being in these temperatures, and he was anxious to put on a battledress as soon as possible . He got out of his taxi and approached the guard at the entrance to the building, presenting him his documents and the letter from the Grand Prince. This did much to ease the tension of the guard at the sight of a foreigner dressed in dark cavalry dress uniforms, wearing a 1914 Cavalry Sabre on one side and an M1935 on the other.

As he entered the office of General Lykourgos Martakos he gave a fresh salute.

“Sir, it is my pleasure to report to you as ordered by His Royal Highness, here is a copy of his letter as well as an order of battle for the Black Riders Expedition Force. We are currently unloading our mounts and arms, and expect to be ready to move within 12 hours. We have sufficient heavy ammunition with us for several days of fighting, and can ship more by air. We were hoping to use your supplies for light weapons when we run out of rifle, machine gun and pistol ammo”

He handed the Pergamonian general the letter from the Grand Prince, and a document detailing the Order of Battle of his force.

“Black Riders Macrobian Expedition Force-

FHQ (24 men)
2 AC-59 APCs
2 Land Rovers

Squadron Leader William Todd, would check at his instruments and electronics. He and his Squadron were ordered by Imperial High Command to relieve Military Forces being slowed in the City of Galcaio. Todd radioed his Squadron as to where to drop their ordinances of Heavy High-Explosive Thermobaric Bombs.

"Squad Lead to Squadron, we are nearly right above Galcaio right now. Have you confirmed your Targets?" Todd asked over the Comms
"Affirm"
"Roger"
"On Target"
"Rest of the Squadrons are on their Targets"

"Squad lead to Squadron, we are in range..Bombs away." Todd ordered the command.
Then, the entire Squadron dropped their Heavy Ordinances, their bombs screaming from the sky and falling into the earth.

Todd looked at one of the Camera Feeds, it showed a Massive Concentration of Rebel Forces in the Target zone.
Few moments later, the Bombs hit. Multiple Large Thermobaric Explosions would rock the city and its inhabitants

A massive non-nuclear mushroom cloud would rise from the blast zones of the target areas.

Todd looked closer to his Camera feed, he hoped that the bombs hit their targets.

And they did..to devestating effect, the massive concentration of rebel forces has been all obliterated.

"Squad Lead to Squadron, mission success RTB to friendly airfield.." Todd would say on the radio.

The Cobras then zoomed away up to Mach 2, being unable to be chased by enemy interceptors and missiles.
They headed their way to Allied Airspace and made their way to the Airfield

and Thanks to the Stealth Coating of the Cobra Bombers, they were undetected and unopposed by enemy radar.

OOC: um, wouldn’t a stealth mach 7 bomber be considered pmt tech? seems kinda unreasonable that a 1968 RP would have access to that, given that IRL 2021 doesn’t have said tech.

EDIT: IRL 2021 doesn’t even have stealth mach 3 bombers either.
