Postby United Australasian Commonwealth » Fri Dec 25, 2020 5:57 pm

After the recent news that Kergstani Troops shot down Australaisan Ships and the fact that religious persecution is happening

We have no option but to declare war on Kergstan

Kergstani Troops are out numbered by Australaisan Troops

The Western Island is Annexed to the UAC

Sides : Democratic Kergstan (a democracy and puppet nation of the UAC)

Socialist Republic of Kergstan (dictatorship)

Can I help you with this, please?

Religious persecution is a thin justification, although the ships sinking alone is probably a good one. Do you mean they were sunk, or that planes were shot down? How did that happen? What ships were they? What kind of ships or missiles did the Kergstanis use? Maybe they used sea mines in a harbor? Again, unless it was planes that were shot down, then we're on a totally different track there. Or maybe Australasian planes and ships were both hit?

What's the history between the two nations? Why does the Commonwealth care so much about religious persecution in Kergstan when it happens in dozens of other nations every day? Are the majority of Australasians of a certain faith that is being persecuted by the Kergstani government?

Is the government persecuting all religions or just certain ones? Are the ruling Kergstanis of a certain faith? All of this, the ships sinking and the religious persecution, should be elaborated in fuller paragraphs in your OP of your IC thread - something to set the scene for future events.

United Australasian Commonwealth wrote:Kergstani Troops are out numbered by Australaisan Troops

How? What numbers do the Australasian troops have? What is the Kergstani military like and what kind of units make it up? What is their morale? Are they well paid or do they plunder from the civilians?

Is it just Australasian infantry that invaded? Special operations or regular troops? Are they moving in air assets, armor, artillery? Did they have to land in contested amphibious invasions or did they just walk over a border? Is there a fleet supporting the invasion? How did all these troops mobilize? Was it over time, or were they already ready for action because the Australasian government had been expecting war for a while?

How much % of support does each faction have among the Kergstani people? How did these factions come about? Is there set territorial lines, or are they all mixed in? Is Democratic Kergstan the ruling government on the UAC controlled Western Island? A map would help a lot for this.

Possibly something that should have been roleplayed out in the IC thread. Yes, you may control both sides, but if the Australasians just arrived, then it would be better to show some struggle instead of they just walked in. Really, it seems more and more like this might be a Kergstani insurgency to Australasian occupation if they can just walk right in, and also that Kergstan is possibly an archipelago. Again, a map would be super handy in this instance. If you don't have the ability to make one, maybe someone else could for you.

One last, huge thing I really overlooked: Characters.

You have none listed. Who is the political leader of the UAC, and who is the military leader? Who is in charge of the forces in Kergstan? Maybe, also think about what is the ground perception of these events? Name a UAC soldier, sailor, pilot/aircrewman or all three, and follow their storylines, also.

Same with Kergstan: What is the name of their leader, and is it the same leader who is leading the resistance effort to the UAC? Who is the secret police or theocratic police chief that is leading the religious persecution? Who is the puppet leader of the UAC allied Kergstan faction? Is there a big hero resistance fighter that is not one of the aforementioned leaders? Lastly, maybe follow a civilian, or a whole family even, who are being persecuted by the Kergstanis, to get a really full bodied perspective of the events.

Without named characters, your RP is really going to be soulless and lacking in that human touch that will draw other RPers to it. They should be one of your primary thoughts when creating an RP like this.
