A former colony of phastastan which got independence is now entering a possible civil war. New Hallin gained independence on may 16 2041. There are four main factions that divide the country. The liberal, The conservative, the fascist, and the communist parties are all fighting for control of the country. This was caused when the liberal party won the election by 6,000 votes but the conservative party said those votes were from fraud and that they won the election. Forces on both sides started arming and the fascists and communists parties took as this as an opportunity to take the country.

South, as the escort is pretty strong (1 frigate and 4 destroyers)

(that's the same size as the whole communist navy. )
It is very misty and hot (109 F.) at 99% humidity. The ocean currents are very strong and a lot of your men are sea sick

OOC: Well, even if they turn into a naval battle, it will distract the navy from the landing fleet
IC: Many soldiers are puking over the edge, seasick from the 2 weeks at sea

The Naval ships get ready in case of any attack from any communists and the soldiers are given pills to help stop the seasickness

They find a massive salt flat! (Basically There are a crap ton of lakes full of salt and everything is very wet and muddy and it's just miserable to walk through. trust me I live in salt lake city and we have a lot of them. You can't sail through them either because of small peices of land)

The ships form a perimeter around the transports as the specialized Stormtroopers, now free of Seaseickness from the pill, move on with scouts moving forward to form a circle about a mile around. They soon find firm land and begin to set up base there

(No they would find a massive cliff face 60 meters tall once they got through around 1.8 KM of salt flats. Not the evionorment to land on but it's better then getting destroyed by a massive navy before even landing)

The SP's refuse to move forward. All 60 of them secure the perimeter as so far 200 troops had been lifted and a small motar had been on top of the cliff

The troops already had 1,500 troops on the cliff, so the other troops calmly went back on the ships and went into small boats to go to the rope and more still climb from the boats

The very tallest mounds are not flooded preventing large ships from getting close but the mounds aren't large enough and stable enough for the men to walk on meaning they will have to use small boats to get through and sometimes drag the small ships.

After a couple of days, the rest of the division arrived. The regiment had created a stable dock to withstand the current on the salt plain. They also made wooden elevators powered by generators. The division landed and set up camp. The naval force,now 3 light cruiser and 20 destroyers go off in search of the communist fleet

They fire back, using amazing firepower to eliminate most of them
