He closely reads the report on the screen that was given to him reading information received from one of the three Piikalan attack submarines that accompanied the fleet has found ships from the nation of New Antarctica to the east and what appears to be a colony. The Piikalan general, upon reading this information, orders the deployment of Piikalan airborne troops to secure Piikalan claims and the deployment of fighters to verify the report of the existence of a colony.

Several hours later:

Several dozen Piikalan helicopters and twenty fighters take off from the Piikalan aircraft carrier the IPNV Ku Mana. Onboard the large helicopters are a dozen Piikalan tankettes and one hundred twenty elite Piikalan Imperial Guard troops. They arrive at the foothills of the mountains and drop off their troops and tankettes that advance towards the west into the mountains. Meanwhile, the small grey type zero Piikalan fighters continue to fly west towards the colony to verify the existence of the Antarctic colony.

The Commander of the Ibican forces in town calls out to the attackers again. "What would be the terms for a meeting? There's no need to attack these people if you just want to talk."

The Piikalan soldiers call back to the Umi Mana and request for fire support from their location. They are granted force and are granted supported as a missile is launched from one of the Piikalan heavy Destroyers that's filled with Napalm. It explodes over the location accidentally destroying a Piikalan tankette and almost burning several Piikalan troops. Meanwhile, Piikalan troops return fire with machine guns and anti-tank rifle fire from the tankettes. While some of the Piikalan troops start to scream a chant while doing a Haka as an offering to the Piikalan god of war Ku'u:

Back in Maurau, Admiral Gibson was able to convince SATCOM to redirect satellites to survey the area. The one satellite close enough to be quickly re-tasked, passed over the west side of the continent, revealing what appeared to be foreign ships and fresh development on that shore, before getting over Confederation strongholds. This discovery astounds Ibican leadership. While we assumed that there would be others coming, they we under the impression that we were the only foreigners on the continent so far. Gibson order for communication to be established. The comms crew back on the INS Olympia began sending out a broadcast over the general comms frequencies of armed forces that were believed to have the capability to colonize here. Eventually they reached the frequency Langenia used. "This is the Ibican Navy, carrier INS Olympia. Can any other "foreigners hear us out there?"
