Official Message from Archduke Aubrey Hamington, Viceroy of Candabaumie, He Who Makes Men

It has become known to me that thousands of Candabaumites have accepted the offer of amnesty, and have laid down their arms to avail themselves of the generous offers the Allanean people have made of peace, liberty, and assistance. Now the world shall know that the world of the Freemen is true, and indeed we shall provide the medical assistance, housing, and rehabilitation. Temporary housing is now in place to provide those seeking amnesty of all of these things, and instructors are moving into place to provide classes in a range of professional re-training classes similar to those provided to the formerly enslaved, to allow these people to rejoin lawful society.

We have heard also the news that the leadership of the slaver rebellion has offered their surrender in return to their pitiful lives. Here is now my verdict:

The slaver is foul and disgusting. By long-standing tradition the foot of the slaver may not befoul the soil of Allanea, and her air is too pure for their criminal breath. For this reason I propose the following offer: the slaver leadership will forfeit its former titles, if any, and the majority of its property, to be used to compensate its victims. The remainder of their property will be converted into cash and given to them, and then they will put this cash into suitcases, and then leave the country and never come back. Should they return they will be charged in court with all their manifold crimes, and this will quite likely end in an unfavorable outcome for them.

The burnt trees surrounding the colonies are being removed in order to form a defensive perimeter

The invasion starts with the covert insertion of SIB agents into Paisacrata and recon drone flights over the island. They locate kidnapped Langenian citizens and enemy WMD-making sites for liberation or neutralization by airstrike or spec ops raid. Then, in one night, airstrikes by stealth bombers and drones take place on WMD-making centers and blow the sites up. Special forces troops are inserted by special operations helicopters and go into compounds where Langenians are being held. They are loaded into the helicopters and evacuated. Cruise missiles are fired at enemy command-and-control centers to confuse the enemy response. Planes materialize from the night sky and perform SEAD operations to neutralize the enemy air defense network. The Langenian retaliation begins.

The natives begin a massive underground thermos neutral bunkers to house natives. Meanwhile films are smuggled to Langenuan allied natives and the Ibicans

The boxes are given to several native troops its contents two hydrogen bombs on a long-range ICBM, along with several dozen brand new Piikalan VTOL fighter jets with heat-seeking missiles, depleted uranium ammunition, spare parts, etc.

Piikala also sends in several thousand more troops to reinforce its base on the eastern tip of the northeastern peninsula. They dig into the surrounding jungles preparing for jungle warfare.

NA deploys its brand new tank, the little Saturn- as well as it's best Muitrole aircraft to colonial airbases, armed with radar lock missiles and HE ammunition. More Marines are deployed to The outer colonies and the settlements are preparing to defend themselves against a full-on piikalan assault

The Allaneans, in the interim, were engaged in important matters, or at least matters that they felt were important. Allanean combat engineers constructed a series of prisoner of war camps to hold the former slaver rebels. Each of the camps was composed of several large tents. To the surprise of the prisoners, the tents were hooked up to field air conditioning – which, naturally speaking, was set to heat them in the harsh Candabaumie winter.

The prisoners were given uniforms that were much like those of the Allanean soldiers – except bright orange with a safety reflective strip on the back. Each of the prisoners was given a pair of boots, three pairs of orange pants and orange shirts, and a heavy orange winter jacket. After a search for weapons and a medical check, the prisoners would be taken to their tents, where they would be instructed to make their beds. Each tent was large enough to fit twenty men, and, astoundingly, each tent had one television. How the prisoners decided who controlled the remote was up to them.

Soon enough the prisoners discovered they would be given decent food – a two-course meal three times a day, prepared by Allanean soldiers in dark-green camouflage. The food might not have been luxurious, but there was certainly plenty of it – a main meal, and after that a desert, which typically comprised tea or coffee (very sweet, dispensed from a large dark-green can), white bread, and either jam or condensed milk.

The prisoners would have to undergo interrogation – though none were tortured – as well as basic tests to determine their intelligence. Individuals who were shown to be mentally disabled were placed separately, where everyone else was offered a range of classes based on the results of their aptitude tests – welding, programming, vehicle maintenance classes, and the like.

That was not to say the Allaneans were not harsh. Reveille was sounded early, and the prisoners were made to participate in fitness exercises, running laps around their tents under the watchful eye of their guards. After breakfast, they would be taken to their classes. The clear idea was that their captors were genuinely encouraging the men to apply themselves in their new profession.

Yet they were still prisoners of course, and security measures were taken – each of the POW camps held no more than five thousand men, each was surrounded by barbed wire, warning signs deterred those who would attempt to escape. And for all the humane nature of the camps, it was clear that the guards bore their charges little affection.

Others could receive assistance in other ways – grants of land and money from what used to be the untamed forest or the property of banished slavers, or loans at advantageous conditions to those who proposed a valid business plan. Those who so chose could join the Allanean military, or outfits such as the Unbroken, who continued to train meticulously under the Archduke's own supervision.

In the prison camp, a group distinguished themselves. They were extremely well and only a select group were allowed. many of these were great tacticians, great at propaganda and one of them had already found a way tomake the old TV's into split screens. He had also created wire to get different shows.
